This beautiful holiday home lies right in the heart of Tuscany on the outskirts of the small village of Rapolano Terme, famous over hundreds of years for the benefits of the warm out-door pools of the natural spas and set amid the characteristic hills of the Sienese countryside, known as the “crete senesi” (clay soil) and famous for its travertine quarries, the medieval villages and the prestigious wines. Not far from the villa there is the Siena/Bettolle freeway which allows to reach Siena in about 15 minutes and both Florence and Arezzo in less than one hour. In the small village of Armaiolo, at a walking distance (abt 400 m) guests find a characteristic restaurant, open all year, where they can enjoy typical dishes. The property has been rescued by restoring an old brick furnace and thanks to a patient and careful restoration, it has been transformed into an enchanting and comfortable villa, preserving many of the ancient architectural elements, such as the wide brick arches, the vaults, the ceilings with old wooden beams and the travertine stone of the outside walls. Passing an old brick-arch and going up a step you access a small sitting room fitted with desk, table, chairs and a couch. First Floor: (access both from the ground floor by an iron and wooden staircase or directly from the garden which is at a higher level -swimming pool level): light-flooded living room with fireplace (satellite TV, DVD player)characterized by wooden beams and terracotta roof tiles, 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedded room, all with air conditioning and en-suite bathroom with shower (hairdryer). The bedroom with the arch has direct access to an outside patio, featuring table and chairs under a shady pergola.
