Beautiful grounds

We were looking for a stay away from it all. That's exactly what we found. The grounds are beautiful to walk around, the cabin had everything we needed. We took the short drive to Max Patch for a little adventure. There are not many choices for restaurants or grocery stores. I suggest bringing the drinks and snacks you like and stop at the Ingles for grocery items. If you do go out, Dave's 209 diner isn't all that far and has great burgers. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. It was just what we needed to get away from it all and our teenage kids for a bit.

Mountain getaway

The property was beautiful and the cabin was perfect! Everything was thoughtfully taken care of, clean, comfortable and cozy! Hot Springs is nearby for day trips and the hosts suggested a hike to Max Patch which was amazing. Thanks again to Leigh & Wolf!

A very nice place to get away for the weekend. The on site trails to include the waterfalls were beautiful. The house was clean and stock with everything you needed except food. Owners are awesome. Will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

This cabin is gorgeous!

The wife and I loved staying here and sitting on the porch looking at the beauty. The space is very comfortable, and the heating works wonderfully. Really enjoyed the fireplace and seclusion. The waterfall was a bit of a hike, but very pretty. If you want to get away, this is your place. We really enjoyed the little town of Hot Springs nearby.

Getaway in the mountains

Gorgeous cabin in even more beautiful surroundings. Cabin is a little out of the way, but the seclusion is wonderful. Property itself is lovely from the cabin itself to the river that runs through. If you enjoy scenic drives, its a great launching pont for Hot Springs, Asheville, and Great Smoky Mountains NP. If you just want to stay in is spacious and the river is delightful. Strongly recommended!

Lovely Getaway

The Winding Falls Cabin is the perfect spot for an Appalachian escape. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, and the Meadow Fork Creek passes through the property with, as the name suggests, a beautiful series of waterfalls. The creek/falls are easily accessible through the network of several hiking trails on the property. The property owners are wonderful to work with, and very accommodating. You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful Retreat

My wife and I (and our dogs) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Winding Falls Cabin - the cabin itself is spacious, cozy, and has all of the amenities. Just a few minutes walk from the front door is a beautiful stream with several gorgeous waterfalls. There are plenty of trails to explore, and the woods are full of birdsong, and butterflies. This is an absolutely beautiful mountain experience. The owners are very helpful and accomodating in every sense. We look forward to our next visit!

Secluded Oasis

My husband and I could not have found a more magical and secluded slice of heaven. The owners were exceptionally helpful and we arrived to a spotlessly clean home with all the amenities you could ask for. All the little touches they so thoughtfully put into our stay made it all the more wonderful. The bridges and trails on property surpassed even the local must see attractions by far. Such serenity sitting on the porch and listening to the waterfalls and the hummingbirds every morning. We can’t wait to go back to this hidden gem.

Magical Cabin in the Mountains

A fantastic place to spend some time enjoying nature and your partner. The cabin has everything from internet to books to movies and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of hiking trails, stream and waterfall. A few miles away is a town called Hot Springs. Has a spa with hot tubs overlooking a stream. Great way to spend an hour or so. Owers are very gracious and respond to any of your requirement immediately. Highly recommend this cabin to a couple looking for a quiet romantic getaway.

Weekend Trip

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our short stay. The cabin was beautiful and cozy. The thoughtful touches were much appreciated: the cookies, fireplace ready to go with a generous stock of firewood, cozy nooks to curl up with a book, plenty of nice towels, and I could go on and on. It is obvious that the owners were mindful of comfort with each living area equipped for cool or warm weather. We loved our walk on the beautiful trails and went fishing during the day and enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen each evening. A great selection of books and movies were much appreciated. This is an amazing property and hope to return in the future.

Heavenly

Thank you again for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. Everything was PERFECT including the hot and humid weather. It made everything more memorable and it was God's plan for it to be that way. We can't wait to visit again in the future. Thank you again for your hospitality! It's exactly what we needed to reconnect after 24 yrs of marriage and raising our boys. The trails, the water, the fishing, and hiking were all perfect. Mona's in cabin massage was so relaxing and incredible. Max Patch is a great hike and the views are awesome and reminds you of Gods wonderful creations. Thank you again for this joyful experience.

Solitude

Winding Falls Cabin was a perfect get-away for the two of us. It is in a secluded area of the forest and it is a very quiet location, with the exception that you can hear the fast water of Meadow Fork Creek, which is a wonderful sound. The cabin is well appointed in terms of furnishings and the kitchen. There is a warm and inviting area in front of the gas heater or you can choose the area in front of the fireplace. We spent time reading the cozy easy chairs in front of the gas heater. We also spent a lot of time hiking on the trails that Wolf and Leigh have constructed on the property. Easy trails with great views of the moving waters of Meadow Fork Creek and of the spring wildflowers. We fully expect to return to the cabin in the future.

Beautiful setting but no view only trees and very bad access road.

No air conditioning down stairs. No tv in upstairs bedroom.Wfi not working and no cell service in the area. If you have any trouble with steep stairs beware.Do not plan on using as a day base as it is an hour plus on narrow moutain roads to anywhere. If it rains you are in for the day

A must stay for couples!

The owners are wonderful and have created an enchanting space for rest, relaxation, and renewal. We wanted for nothing (except a meat thermometer, but that's a first world problem to have; which we easily survived). Everything you could think of was provided. The cleaner does an excellent job of preparing the cabin for you. The craftsmanship and quality of the infrastructures were beyond what we have ever seen in a short term stay rental. At one point my husband, a master carpenter, was on his hands and knees observing the details of the insulated beams. He approved with delight over the attention to detail. At one point he was just standing in the middle of the cabin looking at the ceiling and said "I'm not a fan of overdone shoemold, but when its done right it looks great ". I dont think he has ever fully approved of a space quite like he did this one. Well done to the property owners who have captured every detail so perfectly. They have outdone themselves on the rest of the property too. The trails and flora surrounding the trails and winding falls are straight out of a fairytale. I was disappointed to see in the guest book that no one ever commented on the amazing plum tree in the front yard. We were blessed with offerings of sweet little tangy plums during our stay in July and it was such a treat. Every effort of exploration around the grounds was well worth it. I wish the tree house was available to rent because I can only imagine how amazing it would be. We'll be b

Shhhh! Its Our Secret

First off let me say how great the hosts are. They are close by if you need them but are definitely not within site and youll probabaly never see them. My husband saw them once in 4 days and I never did (although i would have loved to.) The cabin is private, neat, clean and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The grounds are so beautiful and the stream that runs through the grounds is just magical. Great waterfalls and enormous boulders. This was our 2nd trip there. I can hardly wait for trip #3. If peace, quiet and total seclusion isnt your thing then this cabin isnt for you. Its a ways from any sort of city life. But if you want relaxation, nature and a small glimpse of heaven then you found the right place. I really wish it was our little secret place but unfortunately i think its getting pretty popular.

Peaceful Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I chose Magic Winding Falls for our anniversary getaway, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Tucked away in Hot Springs, NC, this cabin provided the perfect setting for a romantic escape. With a cozy fireplace and a private waterfall, every moment was pure relaxation. The hosts thought of everything, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. Our anniversary trip was unforgettable, thanks to Magic Winding Falls!
