The Point At Poipu 2BR with a Full Kitchen
WEEKLY RENTAL 7 night stay
The resort sits on 22 acres of oceanfront grounds with gardens, koi ponds, streams with mountains in the background. It is within walking distance to tide pool, snorkeling, and surfing beaches, restaurants, championship golfing.

The two bedroom / two bathroom condo has plenty of room for a family. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with shower and separate tub. The second bedroom can be made up with two twin beds or a queen bed. The pull-out couch sleeps an additional two people. The villa comes with a large lanai (patio/balcony). The condo has full kitchen that is fully equipped, and also has a washer & dryer. There are three TV’s, a dvd player and WIFI. There is also a complimentary computer in the resort lobby.

The resort has a beautiful lagoon style pool, two hot tubs, a poolside grill bar and restaurant and daily activities..

The on-site fitness center has extensive exercise equipment and steam and sauna rooms. There are many barbecues throughout the property for your personal use. The activities center has snorkeling equipment, pool noodles, towels, ice chests, or sign up for the free scuba diving lessons.

The concierge can assist you with all your reservation needs from a sunset/snorkeling cruise to golfing at the award winning Poipu Golf Course; kayaking up the Wailua River, a zip line adventure.

The location of the resort is on the south side of the island of Kauai. Kauai gets a lot of rain. That is why it is so green and beautiful. From my experience this part of the island always seems to have better weather overall if you like the beach or hanging out by the pools.
Please note there is a Hawaii transient tax that has to be pd directly at the resort

Christmas on Kauai

We just came back from 1 week at this timeshare property. We're not owners so we knew we would not get the best unit. We were in building 8-205 which overlooks the pool. Not terrible but no one enforces the noise ordinance so it was noisy a couple of nights with kids swimming and playing around after 10pm. The unit was nice but also very noisy!! The floors must be thin because the people above us sounded like a herd of elephants and they were up all night!! We got no sleep all week. Also, not sure what the resort fee was for since there are really no amenities at this resort and all of the activities cost extra. On the plus side, you could walk over to the Hyatt to get good food and drinks and see a little Christmas cheer. Shipwreck beach was also a short walk away and a nice diversion. In case you're wondering, it rains ALOT on Kauai at Christmas time! Still didn't stop us from getting out and seeing stuff. Poipu is the sunniest place to be though so this property was in a good location with a short drive to Waimea, Koloa and Wailua.

Cheryl, sorry to hear about the noise issues you had. As far as the resort fee you mentioned. There should not of been one. If you send us a copy of your bill we will for sure call the resort and try to get you a credit. With our ownership there is no resort fee. There is a Hawaii tax that has to be pd

The location of Diamond Resort is on the southern point of the island. It’s situated close to a lot of activity like scuba diving and snorkeling, turtle beach, shopping and restaurants.

Lovely stay, fantastic location!

Loved the location! Unit was a little outdated but we didn’t mind. Came with all the things we needed for a weeks vacation. Awesome pool, close to Shipwreck Beach, and turtles swimming out front every day. We LOVED the staff (esp the activities ladies who had crafts everyday which my kiddos still talk about!) We will definitely return!! Awesome stay.

Unit location not good make sure if you book at this place that you get ocean view as garden view is not good means ground level and no view. unit needed updating cupboards are in bad shape the twin beds in 2nd bedroom is not good when it’s just adult couples going plus this bedroom has no air conditioning and has bad lightening since bedroom is next to walkway not able to open windows. Noise level was terrible from the unit above us they were up at 4 am every day stomping around! Then the crowing roosters crowing at dawn and since on bottom level they are loud outside your unit! Then there’s dragging bags forever to get to unit this is not acceptable for us older adults no baggage person to help found Best thing is location you are right on the ocean so you can walk over to wall and see it and they have a walk way along it. Now if you had an upper unit no need to go to wall it’s right out your patio but not ground level units they are the pits. Pool area is very nice,pool bar outstanding, grounds outstanding, just not a good unit nor location of unit
