Very quiet village unfortunately the restaurant was not open and the bar intermittently- so if you wanted to eat out you had to travel so a car a must at this location. We as 2 couples were happy to eat in and when the bbq failed to work our hosts went out the next day to get a new one. We had a lovely relaxing time with amazing weather

Lovely house, great hosts and a beautiful pool
We had a wonderful stay. We loved all the separate outdoor areas which allowed us to move with the sun. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The swimming pool is lovely and so enjoyable on a hot afternoon.
The local bakery is so good. Fabulous to be able to walk two minutes to get delicious pastries and bread for breakfast.
Our only disappointment (which the hosts can’t help!) is the unreliability of the local bar. It was closed more than it was open and not very good even when it was open!
Would definitely recommend this house and its lovely hosts.

Charming little place
A charming little place, clean as a whistle and with everything required to make our 3 nights comfortable. Katarina & Leonard were warm & welcoming and on hand to help if needed, but did not intrude on our privacy in the slightest. The beds were comfortable and the showers worked well. The little kitchen had everything necessary to allow us to cater for ourselves. The little boulangerie in the village sells wonderful bread & we also enjoyed a drink in the village bar where the locals were very friendly. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would recommend as a great base for exploring the area. Cognac & Saintes were lovely. The only negative was a poor phone signal & intermittent wifi. (Wifi easily resolved with a reboot)

Wonderful little hideaway
I am surprised that there hasn't been a review of this lovely gite before. We have just enjoyed a lovely week at Le Petit Cheers Vert. We were accompanied by our two teenage daughters which worked fine with the bedroom arrangements but is definitely not suitable for younger children. Kathy and Lennie are wonderful hosts, fantastic welcome pack and around just enough but not too intrusive. The location worked for us, able to walk to the village for bread and the market but a car essential for exploring more of the surrounding area. I can recommend this gite for a relaxing holiday.
