About the host
Hosted by Kate & Neil Harnott

We bought Valley View Cottages in March 2016 after a long search for a suitable “lifestyle” business. We fell in love with the property within minutes of arriving on a beautiful sunny day in August 2015.
Clare has a passion for craft work especially hand painting old furniture to give it a new lease of life and you may find some examples in your cottage when you stay! Chris, having worked in manufacturing for 25 years is looking forward to sprucing up the grounds, growing vegetables and generally just spending as much time outside as possible.
Chris is a keen cyclist, both on and off road so will be able to advise on suitable routes for cycling visitors, whilst both Clare and Chris are keen walkers (along with Milo).
The original owners, Jim and Sarah moved to West Wales in October 2007, after relocating from Maidenhead
Milo
Milo
Berkshire in search of a ‘Life in the Country’. The property they found comprised of two Welsh stone barns and a detached house sitting in 3 acres of gardens and woodland, with amazing views across surrounding fields and valleys. The barns needed a huge amount of work in order to turn them into luxury holiday cottages, but plans were quickly drawn up and planning was granted at the end of March 2008. Work began immediately.
When you come to Valley View Cottages for your holiday, you will be guaranteed a very warm welcome from us and our small but very friendly dog Milo.
We are very fortunate to be surrounded by superb wildlife, namely the magnificent buzzards which we have living in the woods at the top of the trac

Why they chose this property
Buzzards watch is a one-bedroomed cottage on two-levels, with the open-plan living area/kitchen located upstairs to take advantage of the superb views across the valley and to catch the evening sun. There is a patio area with garden furniture and an enclosed lawn area surrounding the cottage plus a little bistro table and chairs at the top of the stairs so you can capture the sun no matter what time of the day.
What makes this property unique
All the properties have views across the beautiful valley, including a footpath into the woods taking you to a number of locations. We are within walking distance of a great pub with friendly locals and landlady along with great food. Local towns and beaches within 20 minutes drive which will leave you wanting more each time you visit!
