Lovely cosy cottage, very well equipped.

Lovely cosy cottage, very well equipped. Grounds were lovely, very dog friendly. Double bed was very firm, too hard for us so we struggled to sleep. Very clean. Owners polite and friendly.

Penny and Steve are the most delightful hosts, and nothing was left to chance.

Penny and Steve are the most delightful hosts, and nothing was left to chance. We had welsh cakes, and eggs from their own chickens left for us!! The grounds were most suitable for our dogs (even if the weather wasn't) and they had plenty of room to run around in safely. The beds were very comfortable too. MY only complaint ( and this is just for me, being a bit disabled) was that the shower was over the bath, and I could not get into it. Unfortunately, for me, there would be no room to change it. So strip washes it was. Very well placed for Carmarthen, Cardigan and beaches (Poppit Sands is a must), and The Botanic Gardens should also be visited. We WILL come again! So wished we could have stayed more than four nights at Ivy Cottage, what a great place to stay with our family pet spaniel.Lovely spot to chill out ,peaceful.Had wonderful nights sleep, beautiful bed linen and nice quality towels. Penny had left scone ,cream and jam, biscuits also if we had forgotten some essentials there were also ,oil, flour etc in cupboard which we thought was a nice careing gesture. Penny’s husband Steve was busy mowing the 5 1/2 acres of lawns when we arrived. Although our dog is too old to go bounding about there is an enclosed garden to the cottage to keep pets or children safe. They also do bed and breakfast in the big house next door to cottage.

Great cosy cottage, with great hosts Penny and Steve.

Great cosy cottage, with great hosts Penny and Steve. The cottage is very comfy and warm surrounded by beautiful gardens. The bird feeders are visited by lots of birds and we saw a red kite visit the distant trees every day in the morning. We had a lovely quiet stay and the welcome gifts were delicious especially the scones. The cottage is well located for lots of beaches and bays, as well as museums, shops and restaurants and pubs. We loved our stay and will be back soon.

A lovely stay for our family, and especially the dog! The cottage is a toasty treat when you come back from cold February exploring, and the owners seem to have thought of everything you could possibly need. We were planning on doing a few short breaks in different parts of the country this year, but the wife has already suggested it would be fantastic to return again here in the summer. Highly recommended.
