Nestled in the heart of Brittany lies the Moulin de Kerlautre a 17th Century Watermill tastefully converted to a comfortable two person Gite
In a tranquil setting, enjoy the sound of running water and birdsong, undisturbed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The front door leads to an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and sitting room, attractively furnished and decorated. A separate well-appointed bathroom equipped with a full size shower is also on the ground floor. For colder nights an log stove (and wood) is provided for your comfort. A staircase leads to a Mezzanine bedroom equipped with a double bed
The Gite is set in over 2 hectares of amazingly diverse scenery including formal gardens, lawn, woodland, rockery, ancient stone features and a beautiful river with several sitting places around the grounds.
The owner’s property is onsite but the landscaping ensures privacy. Enjoy tranquil walks through the woodland or sit and relax and watch the Kingfisher on the river bank.
The Moulin de Kerlautre is ideal for those who are seeking peace and tranquility with the chance to unwind whilst offering a central base to explore the rugged coastlines of the north, ancient towns, lakes and beaches and invigorating walks in the surrounding countryside

Peace and seclusion deep in the countryside

Peace and seclusion set against a background of rushing water and birdsong in this characterful converted water mill in a semi-wilded woodland garden deep in the Breton countryside. The gîte is comfortable and well-equipped. No TV or WiFi but plenty of books in English and German. Amenities (supermarket, restaurants etc) about 6 miles away in Guémené-sur- Scorff; local family run bistrot 2 miles away in Kernascléden is good but not open every evening.

Would definately visit again

Beautiful idyllic little cottage that is perfect for a romantic get away for two. Christine was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a helpful tour of the property and gardens which I have to say are like something out of a fairytale. Privacy was afforded for our entire trip however, if we had need of it Christine was only a stones throw away. A lovely welcome pack of nibbles and drinks were waiting for us. The property had great little kitchen which meant we were able to buy things from the local supermarket and cook. I absolutely loved eating breakfast every morning sat at the table with the window open looking at the stream outside. The property is located in a magical woodland area which was perfect for romantic walks and exploring. I will definitely be recommending this property to my family and friends.

Quiet and peaceful, and not to remote.

Lovely place and well equiped although some kind of music player would have been good. Really interesting grounds and right alongside the stream and mill race. Gardens are attractive although in September they were a bit overgrown, some plants rather congested the pathways around the cottage which was OK except after the rain which also made the decking in the lower patio a bit greasy and slippy but all else was fine. Our only regret was with all that wood about it's a shame the heater isn't a wood burner instead of an oil heater, wasn't really cold but some evenings it would have nice to sit in front of a wood fire, maybe a fire pit would be a good idea. All in all though a really clean pleasant place and just as described.We never did get to try any of the local restaurants but used the Intermache at Guémené-sur-Scorff. Oh and if you need WiFi go to the Library in Guémené-sur-Scorff, up at the top of the main street by the small parking area. Of interest are the castle walls in the town and are worth a look, our main reason for visiting this area was to visit the Carnac area but due to a miscalculation on my part they were a bit farther away than I realised but still reachable,about an hour and twenty away. Good area for walking at least some of the roads, usually quiet, and forest tracks.

Charmante Unterkunft mitten in der Natur

Was ein toller Aufenthalt! Die Bilder haben uns schon überzeugt und es war genau so, wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Sehr gemütlich, tolle Lage in der Natur und traumhaftes Wetter! :) Was es nicht gibt: W-Lan, Geschirrspülmaschine, Radio und TV. Was es gibt: Eine Lage mitten in der Natur, tolle Plätze, um dem Wasserrauschen zuzuhören, eine gemütliche Einrichtung, ungefähr 5 Katzen, die ganz pittoresk in der Landschaft sitzen (und sich teilweise auch streicheln lassen) Man braucht definitiv ein Auto. Fahrradfahren ist möglich, schöne Strecken, aber durchaus mit Steigungen. Supermarkt mit dem Auto 10 Minuten entfernt, es gibt alles, was man braucht. Das Willkommenspaket war super nett und wohldurchdacht, Tee, Kaffee, Milch, Zucker, Kekse, Baguette, Käse ... für die ersten Tage! Bei schlechtem Wetter scheint es nicht so gut möglich zu sein, vor der Mühle zu sitzen. Es gab keine Überdachung. Allerdings hatten wir auch kein schlechtes Wetter. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt!

Toujours charmant

Atypique, la vrai Bretagne, celle de l’intérieur, pas si loin des 2 mers, bretons et propriétaires très sympas, plein de choses à découvrir, en plus du très grand beau jardin le long de la rivière. pour les sportifs, on peut escalader, Obelix est passé par là!

Séjour envoutant, calme et découvertes Bretonnes

Des hectares arborés et fleuris avec goût, énormes blocs, sentiers ... que des découvertes en Bretagne! Petite rivière passant sur des rochers au pied du moulin indépendant, ce Gite , très propre,vous propose un très bon accueil, sans ouvrir ses valises. Propriétaires discrets, voir trop, moralité un très beau séjour. Nous y retournerons, au milieu des deux mers pas si loin! Christian et Catherine

Es waren wunderschöne ruhige Tage in einer Tollen Unterkunft bei sehr netten Gastgebern. Es war alles sauber und liebevoll vorbereitet, zur Begrüßung gab es einen Korb voll Bretonischer Lebensmittel die uns den Wochenend Einkauf ersparten. Was toll war dass es eine kleine Bibliothek gab mit Deutschen Büchern mit unserer waren wir schon durch. Es gibt viele schöne ruhige Sitzplätze zum zum lesen und träumen.

een prachtig oude verbouwde watermolen, heel mooi ingericht, geen internet, geen wasmachine , gaan vaatwasser dus echt iets voor de gestresste moderne mens die rust wil. De oorverdovende stilte , alleen stromend water hoor je, de fantastische tuin van 2.5 ha met een eigen riviertje en de zeer gastvrije eigenaren hebben ons een heel intens vakantiegevoel gegeven.

Kleinod im Paradies

Die kleine restaurierte Mühle liegt inmitten einem Paradies. Auf dem großzügigen und gepflegten Gelände rund um die Mühle sind viele gemütliche Sitzgruppen platziert, auf denen man herrlich entspannen kann. Man hört nur Vogelgezwitscher und den Mühlenbach rauschen, sonst nichts. Die Mühle liegt einsam in wunderschöner Natur und einem herrlichen Blumengarten. Rundum gibt es viele Wanderwege. Die Vermieter wohnen nebenan im separaten Haus und sind total nett. Weil wir an einem Feiertag ankamen, hatten Sie uns Wein, Cidre, Wurst, Käse, Butter, Marmelade und Brot hingestellt. Kaffee und Tee war auch dabei. Das hat uns gerettet, da alle Geschäfte zu waren. Wir erhielten darüber hinaus noch einige Tipps für Ausflüge. Die kleine Mühle ist ideal zum Entspannen zu zweit oder alleine. Sie ist gemütlich eingerichtet und im Wohnraum gibt es einen Holzofen für kältere Tage. Das Holz ist kostenlos (echt toll). Küche und Dusche/WC sind komplett mit allem ausgestattet, also alles vorhanden. Es gibt allerdings keinen Backofen, dafür aber eine Microwelle. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Danke an Christine und Norbert für ihre Fürsorge. Topp!

Erholsame Auszeit

Ideal zum Ausspannen und um sich zu erholen. Fernab der touristischen Hotspots, die man, wenn man möchte, trotzdem in einer, max. anderthalb Stunden Fahrt erreichen kann. Wer sich in der Natur wohlfühlt, ist hier absolut an der richtigen Stelle. Christine und Norbert haben wir als sehr freundliche, kompetente und hilfsbereite Gastgeber erlebt.

Wunderbarer Erholungsort

Unser Urlaub an diesem schönen Ort war wunderschön! Vor allem das große Außengelände mit wunderschönem Garten und Bach hat zur Erholung beigetragen. Aber auch in der Mühle ist es sehr gemütlich und es gibt alles was man braucht. Vielen Dank an die sehr zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Gastgeber :)

Das Paradies

Wir hatten eine so schöne Zeit. Unsere Gastgeber waren so freundlich und so nett und wir haben die Woche so unglaublich genossen. Eigentlich muss man das einzigartige Grundstück, bis auf Baguette holen, nicht verlassen. Es ist so besonders und so schön gewesen. Und, wir haben den Eisvogel gesehen :-) Danke für die wunderschöne Zeit !!

Authentische Mühle in traumhaften Garten

Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht und auf Internet verzichten kann, ist hier genau richtig. Die alte Mühle am rauschenden Bach ist sehr liebevoll restauriert und eingerichtet. Es fehlte an nichts - der Empfang war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert - mit üppig gefüllten Begrüßungskorb. Es gibt draußen verschiedene schöne, lauschige Sitzmöglichkeiten. Im Haus war es für uns etwas dunkel - aber das ist natürlich der Lage und dem alten Gebäude geschuldet..... Die Eigentümer wohnen direkt nebenan und sind sehr hilfsbereit - achten aber die Privatsphäre. Vielen Dank an Chris und Norbert!

Herrliche Rückzugsmöglichkeit für den Urlaub

Wir haben in der romantisch gelegenen Wassermühle eine sehr erholsame und angenehme Zeit verbracht. Die alte Mühle und das große Grundstück sind wie beschrieben. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden und auf dem weitläufigen Grundstück mit Wasserlauf haben wir alle Sitzplätze erkundet. Die Vermieter Chris und Norbert sind sehr aufmerksam und rücksichtsvoll. Halten sich im Hintergrund, sind aber jederzeit ansprechbar, um helfende Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu geben, frische Blumen zu bringen oder einen selbstangebauten Zucchini für das Abendessen zu bringen. Wir haben die Bretagne und speziell Kerlautre sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Beate und Peter

Super ontvangst, alles voor de gasten.

Bij aankomst eerst even gepraat met Chris(tine) over hoe de reis was enz.. Daarna uitleg en de rondleiding door de super leuke verbouwde watermolen(huis) Er was door Chris brood en wat beleg verzorgd om de eerste dag door te komen. Erg handig als je op zondag aankomt. Daarna een rondje door de geweldige tuin. En alle gezellige plekjes waar je mag en kan gaan zitten en genieten van de rust die daar heerst. Wij hebben hier een heerlijke tijd gehad. Echt even tot rust komen zonder tv en WiFi.
