About this property
Cottage in the heart of the Prosecco hills
The cottage is made up of an independent unit set in the Prosecco DOCG vineyards which, together with the chestnut woods, cover the surrounding hills. From here, lulled by the sound of the wind and the chirping of birds, guests can view the village of Rolle, with its bells that have traditionally cadenced the work in the fields, the surrounding hills and Mount Cesen.
The small, old house was once the residence and workshop of artisans who made the famous local "olle", namely earthenware pots for domestic use, and was later used as a hay barn.
The renovated farmhouse, which has preserved its old terracotta floors and the opening for loading/unloading hay on the upper floor (now a bright window in the bedroom), covers two floors: the ground floor is home to the sitting room-kitchen, with a stone fireplace, while upstairs is the double bedroom and bathroom with shower.
The outside of the residence, clad with local stone, is equipped with a wooden table and bench under a shady scented pergola of Isabella grape, from which guests can enjoy the sunset while they sip a glass of the farm’s own Prosecco or dine in the midst of nature.
The house is accessible by way of a dirt track, under an archway of vines, in a separate location from the main farm, far from busy thoroughfares to guarantee privacy and quiet.
Guests can gain experience in vine growing and wine production, by adopting a row of Prosecco DOCG vines!
