Why Margret Cornell chose Chokoloskee
America's warm weather wilderness. Located at the very southern tip of the state, among Everglades National Park in the calm marine environment. Alligators don't exist in this marine type location, just birds and fish. Family friendly. Lots of room. Three bedrooms, 2 baths, large dining, living, and kitchen. the unit has two queen beds in separate rooms and a twin bunk bed with an extra futon in the 3rd room. Three adults or 2 couples sleeping together and the futon with bunks bedroom. More? I'd suggest co-renting with Parkway Motel (trailers, cottage, and rooms) that's just steps from our place. Clean and comfortable
Very convenient and easy to access. Plenty to do, even in the off season.
Great spot for a group of fishers
3 friends stayed in this double wide. Interior was very comfortable. 5 stars cause it’s a good value when you consider moorage for boat as well.
Chokoloskee is heaven on earth for those of us who love nature and fishing. Walter's place, "Big Blue", is spacious and comfortable. Walter is as good a host as you will find anywhere. He keeps in contact throughout your stay to make sure you have what you need, and offers so much more to make your stay as good as possible. We had a great time.
Our third year staying in this home, big enough for three couples, always clean and stocked well with everything you need to cook or whatever else you might need. Walter is a great host to work with, it’s not a fancy place, but it works for us when visiting friends or fishing.
A bit rustic, but spacious.
Plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 teens. Living and dining room areas were great.
Quiet, comfortable place to unwind.
We (4 adults and 4 dogs) arrived late Friday evening. Walter, the owner, had given me excellent directions which made our arrival a breeze. Big Blue is exactly that - a big blue trailer with a deck on the front side. If you follow the signs to Ted Smallwood's store, you can't miss it!
If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the starry night, this is the place to go. Tucked away in southwestern Florida (at the end of the world) you will find a comfy trailer to rest, cook and hang out in. The owners are very nice and accommodating - Walter checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable.
Chololoskee is a little gem of tranquility and a must for fishermen and outdoor adventurers alike (bring your kayak)!
Tropical water and Keys access. Next door to the Everglades National Park, World Famous Shallow Water Fishing. Kayak, camp and explore fresh and saltwater wilderness.
