The host was very accommodating with a request we had. It was a large family gathering and there was room for everyone. It was nice having pool and ocean access at our fingertips.

Our overall visit was great, The view from the balconies was excellent, pool area view was also excellent, we had 18 in our party, 10kids 15-18months, they all loved the pool. There are a few items that need attention, the return air filters need cleaning, the up stairs balcony railing need to be replaced. But overall we all had a great time. We fixed most of our meals in the house, the kitchen was clean and equipped nicely, had plenty of plates, cups, glasses and flatware. The extra refrigerator was very handy, and the small one worked great for the kids drinks. Also the ice maker helped out greatly. There was plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for allowing us to use this house, we would definitely book again when coming to this area.

Overall this house was exactly what we needed for our large family vacation. The beach right at our doorstep, the shared pool, and the accommodations of the home made our stay great! Plus the beach was basically secluded so we loved that as well. Our idea of a great vacation is to sit at beach, take in the sun and fun, and make great memories with our family. Rest Area West brought it all together for us!

Beautiful house. The rooms are lovely, the beds comfortable. There is plenty of dishes, utensils, cookware, glassware. The ice maker stayed full. The pool is wonderful with plenty of room for everyone. There are many beach and pool toys. The dining room table is fantastic, seating our family of 16. The king rooms have a beautiful view of the shore from the balcony. The bathroom towels are plentiful. Dishwashers and washer and dryer work very well. The gates on the deck and boardwalk keep the little ones safe and the screened back porch is also wonderful for a break from the sun. Having the Gulf in the backyard is the best. Rest area west is an ideal house and everyone is glad we stayed.

The perfect getaway at Rest Area West!

Great place to stay! Close to the beach, great surf fishing, spacious living area and the extra amenities such as refrigerators and ice maker were an added bonus!!!

Another wonderful week at Rest Area West!

This was our second stay at Rest Area West, and it was just as perfect as the first. The property is well suited to groups, and it includes extra touches such as multiple refrigerators and dishwashers, and the pool is always a welcome way to end a great day at the beach (which is mere steps away!). We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Family Vacay

We stayed a week in this fabulous beach house. Everything about the house was great, the beach was so close and the pool was an added bonus. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing property and location.

This is such an amazing property and location. Walking out the back door to the beautiful beach was breathtaking. Lounging in the pool while watching the surf, sunrises, sunsets was so fun. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. We were so sad to leave. Amazing.

Location is awsome, secluded beach, easy access, house was used but functional, lots of room for everyone in kitchen and living room. Plenty of deck space, grill is in rough shape. Overall had a great experience would rent again!

Had a wonderful family beach vacation. The house was well equipped inside and out for a large family. Plenty of kitchen supplies for meals in and lots of toys for pool area. The ramp to the beach was such a huge help!

Great location for a week with good friends!

Rest Area West was just as good as advertised. Our group of 4 couples all loved the properry and its proximity to the Gulf. The house is in great shape with thoughtful amenities such as extra refrigerator space and two dishwashers. The pool on the deck that overlooks the beach and the beautiful waters of the Gulf was a welcome bonus for all of us. We will definitely be back!

Great stay for large group

We had a great stay for our first ever all family Christmas vacation! The living and kitchen space is so open and made for great time spent together. Lots of seating and kitchen is well stocked. Would recommend a few more dish towels in kitchen though. Lots of sleeping places although a few beds were somewhat uncomfortable. The location right on the beach was amazing!! Would highly recommend.

Extended Family Spring Break

We had a wonderful time at Rest Area West. Our group consisted of grandparents, parents, teens and young children. There was plenty of space and plenty of things to do. The house was well appointed and clean. Our only recommendations would be more kitchen hand towels and oven mits. The rooms were spacious and no one ever had to wait for a bathroom since there were 5 to choose from! We definitely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

Great vaca!

I thought the online listing was a little misleading! I didn’t realize until after booking that this is a duplex! There was a very large group (possibly larger than the allowed capacity) celebrating graduation in the unit beside us! They were a little loud but hey were only there for the first couple of days of our stay! Other than that, the house was perfect for our family- plenty of room and very clean!

Rest Area West

Kitchen had everything we needed. Dining area accommodated all of us. Down side was the furniture and beds were old and terribly worn out. Uncomfortable mattresses. House could use a good cleaning. Ice maker was nice to have but we had to clean the mold out of it. Had rain water come in around a window frame. Door code didn’t work to enter after going out for dinner but manager responded quickly to give us a new code.
