About this property

Four seasons of fun! Beach days, campfires, snowmobile, snowshoe, x-country ski

This 1 bedroom, with a loft above the main living area, the carriage house sleeps up to 6 people, but it’s best with 4 comfortably. This space is very cozy and small (20X30ft). It is off the sandy shores of Lake Superior (approximately 250 ft. from the water), which has incredible sunsets. There is air conditioning and wi-fi for your pleasure during your stay at this quant carriage house. We have a slow recovering well on and old salt aquifer that has some tannins in it so we ask that you use the water conciously and for your drinking and cooking we offer a 5 gallon water cooler. There is a grill and fire pit to use when the beach is too windy for fires. This is a family friendly place to stay, most dogs are welcome with permission however we do charge a non refundable $50 fee per dog (no more than two dogs at a time.) We are located on the main snowmobile trial network in the U.P. so you can park and ride right from here! We have a few backcountry ski trails right on our property so bring your skis or snowshoes! Located 7 miles east of Harvey, 12 miles east of marquette and 29 miles west of munising. The U.P. is known for snowmobile and Skiing fun! We are about 15 miles from Marquette Mountain ski hill. There are miles upon miles of mountain biking and hiking trails just outside this wonderful spot. Come stay here for your next adventure!!

Our Paradise Vacation
We absolutely loved EVERYTHING about our stay! Our stay far exceeded our expectations! Robin was an amazing hostess and shared many things to do and see in the area. The cabin was impeccable. Our teenager and friend loved their own personal space in the loft. The deck and lakefront were perfect for stargazing and relaxation. Our dog Maisie loved being able to roam freely and have a friend to play with! We look forward to our next stay! So beautiful and peaceful.... everything we could have asked for and more!

Perfect!
We came for the beach & it did not disappoint! It’s beautiful, quiet, perfect for long walks. The Coach house is cozy & comfortable. Close to local attractions yet secluded. Robin is lovely; helpful & accessible. We will return❤️

Great Location for the price
Robin was friendly and prompt with communication and any issues we had. The kitchen is a bit small for a formal cooking space and there was a lack of a decent knife for chopping ingredients, (Id recommend prepping at home and bringing the ingredients up if you are set on making a meal there) other than that the propery was as advertised and we were able to do plenty of hiking and brewery tours during the day and wandered to the beach to watch the stars over the frozen lake at night.

About the host

Host profile image
I was born and raised in Marquette, MI here on this property. I am a licensed hairdresser, licensed Massage therapist and certified Yoga teacher through yoga alliance. My goal here is to turn the main house into a healing retreat center. It was a bed & breakfast when I was growing up, so I "learned the ropes" from my mom and plan to take the legacy on, adding a few amenities to offer to our guests, such as personalized yoga classes or massage, or couples massage. This is a great place to stay if you are looking to engulf yourself in peace and beauty, somewhat disconnecting from our normal everyday busy lives. Our paradise is too magical not to share with the world.

Why they chose this property

Just off the shore of Lake Superior, miles of sandy beach, stargazing, campfires & swimming!! Located on the snowmobile trail, back country cross country skiing, fall colors, the perfect peaceful get-a-way!

What makes this property unique

Located on the main Snowmobile trail network in the U.P. The carriage house is quaint, the perfect getaway, miles of sandy beach to walk and enjoy. A wonderful place to base your U.P. adventure. We live on the property between the carriage house and the lake so if you need anything during your stay we are just next door!
