The whole area is a haven for sport, especially water sports, golf and tennis. Fabulous mini golf for adults and children, ten minute drive. Excellent historic interest, especially Cartagena, 20 minutes drive away. The airport of Murcia is 20 kilometres away. Alicante is about an hour and a quarter and has many more flights from most European countries


Local Activities: Tennis, tennis club one road back from beach at Mar de Cristal. Many Golf Courses in area. Wide range of water sports, including, sailing, water skiing, wind-surfing and deep sea diving (Cabo de Palos is particularly good) paragliding, fishing, horse riding, go karting, bowls, short mat bowls, walking. Good cycle tracks. Most of the mentioned sports, excellent instruction available.

Calblanque nature reserve, beautiful beaches. Great for walkers and cyclists.
Los Belones for excellent restaurants, banks, post office and village shops.
Cabo de Palos charming fishing harbour with superb fish restaurants and a good Sunday market.
Cartagena with port, good shopping, departmental store and hypermarket. This is where Hannibal arrived with his Elephants so very interesting buildings and history, Reenactment every September. Excellent guided walking tours.
Various villages many at the coast for local markets.
