In the heart of the Normandy countryside, this peaceful 120 m² house is housed in the former outbuilding of a traditional farmhouse. Thanks to its 3 bedrooms, it can accommodate up to 7 people. Ideal for discovering Calvados and Normandy with your family and children. It has 2 bathrooms and 2 separate WCs, for the comfort of its occupants.

The house is carefully decorated, mixing old stone and modern comfort thanks to many amenities:
- US kitchen with full appliances
- TV and DVD player, Internet access
- games
- 2 bedrooms with double bed
- 1 bedroom with 3 single beds
- 1 baby bed, 1 high chair

Outside, the wooden terrace offers a barbecue, garden furniture and sun loungers to enjoy the sun. The pétanque field promises nice games of boules. A swing is available for children in the tree-lined garden.
A deposit is required, not exceeding 50% of the amount of a week's rental; payable locally on arrival, cash or French check.

Superb!

Absolutely stunning property set in wonderful grounds. We used it as a base for our tour of the many historical points of interest in the area and found it perfectly located for that. Florence and Dominique were superb hosts, welcoming and incredibly helpful. All in all, a fabulous place to stay!

Peaceful and serene

This place was amazing! It is so beautiful and peaceful. It is convenient to grocery stores and many area attractions. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment making it easy to prepare meals. There is a yard for the kids to play in and kick around a soccer ball. The owners are located on the property and are willing to help if needed. The home was immaculate! We would love to return and stay again! There is also a small B&B in addition to the 2 gites if your party is large.

Perfect House. Perfect Location. Perfect Property Managers.

If you're looking for a house in the Normandy area, STOP LOOKING and BOOK THIS PROPERTY NOW. We (American family of 4 adults/3 kids) drove down from Belgium to visit Normandy/WWII related sites. This beautiful renovated barn turned cottage is a perfect stay for any family. Property has a large kitchen, great living room with a fire place, and 3 large bedrooms upstairs. There is a nice patio and garden out back, plus a pasture in the back with a playground for kids. The house is all electric, including heating in each room. I was concerned about paying for electric (first time paying for electric in an airB&B), but was much less than expected. The location was perfect if you're looking to stay close to WWII sites but also not hurting your wallet. We were 15 minutes from Overload Museum, 15 minutes from Omaha, 20 minutes from Point Du Hoc, and 30 minutes to Saint-Mere-Eglise. A few miles to the South is a village that has a SuperU grocery store and gas station. Very close to Bayeux if you're wanting to access a larger town. Last but not least, the PERFECT PROPERTY MANAGERS!! The welcoming hospitality of Florence and Dominique was like none other. Lovely French couple that speaks perfect English (my French is not the greatest), very accommodating. I can not say enough great things about them. They answered every question we had prior to staying there. They stay across from the house on site and made it easy if we needed anything, but also respected our privacy while staying there. Florence had a list of supermarkets, restaurants, and other things on the bulletin board available for anyone staying there. She provided plenty of ideas and local things going on for us to do. Dominique was great at always keeping wood available and stocked, we had a fire every night. They're attention to detail in providing a stress-free stay was the best we've ever had. Dominique and Florence, my family and I want to personally thank you for you're generous hospitality during our stay. You're the reason we continuously choose to book with VRBO/Booking for all family trips. If you're looking for an affordable stay in the Normandy region, BOOK THIS PROPERTY! You will not regret or be disappointed. Great house, great location, and the BEST France has to offer on a personal level.

Sympathetically converted barn offering modern accommodation whilst maintaining the traditional feel and ambience of an older property. Ländlich idyllisch

Die Bilder und die Beschreibung geben die Unterkunft exakt wieder. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es geht nicht ohne Auto, aber viel Sehenswertes ist schnell zu erreichen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und immer ansprechbar. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

After two cancellations due to Covid we finally got our break in Normandy. The accommodation was immaculate and very central to all that we planned to do and see. Florence and Domenique were very welcoming and the service of fresh pastries each morning was delicious. We stayed in one of their Gîtes so catered for ourselves, but there was plenty of kitchen equipment to satisfy this including a BBQ. We would definitely recommend staying at Le Chaufourniers to all our friends and family.

Superb property in beautiful gardens

Our Gite was superb - it had a real rustic charm throughout and provided a very comfortable and exceptionally clean enviroment in which to stay & relax. Its location to Normandy beaches was great & also it was close to a good supermarket in Le Molay Littry. Our hosts Florence & Dominique were very warm & friendly and at hand to provide useful advice on local places of interest.

Heerlijk plattelandsgevoel op ideale locatie

Florence en Dominiq beheren een bed en breakfast (circa 10 personen) en 2 vakantieverblijven. 1 geschikt voor 4 personen en 1 voor 7 personen. De eigenaren zelf zijn ontzettend gastvrij, beantwoorden al je vragen, geven tips over uitstapjes maar geven je ook privacy. Zeer aardige mensen die oprecht hun passie uitoefenen! Geen personeel, doen alles zelf voor de volle 1000%. Elke morgen kun je broodjes van de warme bakker bestellen, heerlijk. Wij verbleven in het huisje van 7 personen. Heel veel ruimte in een voormalige verbouwde paardenstal. Heel erg leuk! Door een soort van tussenschuur hoor of zie je de andere gasten niet. Lekkere bedden, ruime keuken, wasmachine ook erg handig. Apart een douche en dubbele wastafel enerzijds en een bad en dubbele wastafel anderzijds. 3 ruime slaapkamers, wat wil je nog meer? Tot slot de locatie: op het platteland dichtbij mogelijke uitstapjes naar Port-en -Bessin, Omaha Beach, st Mere Eglise, Le Mont Saint-Michel, Honfleur-> perfect. Daarnaast nog een terrasje op het zuiden met een grote speelweide waar kinderen lekker kunnen spelen. Enig verbeterpuntje: het adres kan duidelijker op de website van vbro vermeldt worden. Hier hadden we wat moeite mee. Echt top, mooie herinneringen gemaakt!! Hartelijke groeten en ontzettend veel dank aan Florence en Dominiq!! Familie Milder, Bemmel

Idylle pur!

Das Haus ist Teil eines umgebauten ehemaligen Gehöfts, wo die Vermieter auch ein kleines Bed-and-Breakfast betreiben. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und idyllisch, die Vermieter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Zahlreiche Sitzmöbel sind vorhanden, sodass man auf der hübsch bepflanzten Terrasse der Sonne folgen kann. Super für einen erholsamen Familienurlaub!
