A mountain house nestling on the banks of a river ***

In the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées, you'll be staying in a mountain house on the banks of the Neste du Louron river! Ideally situated if you're keen on white-water rafting, hiking & cycling, skiing and fishing.

The gîte is 300m (5mn walk) from the centre of ARREAU, an authentic mountain village at an altitude of 730m .
Very well placed at the confluence of the AURE and LOURON valleys, whether you are sporty or a walker, you can choose between 4 ski resorts (Peyragudes, Val-Louron, St.Lary/Espiaube, Piau-Engaly) and a multitude of hiking trails!
Situated between the two Nestes mountains, Arreau is a gateway to the mythical ASPIN and PEYRESOURDE passes (famous thanks to the Tour de France).
ARREAU is a village with all shops and services: Doctors, dentists, chemist, physiotherapist. Veterinary surgeon, tobacconist and newsagent, post office, bookshop, banks, restaurants, café pub, tearoom etc...
On Thursday mornings, market day, you will have a wide choice of good regional products.

PS: Children may only swim in the river under adult supervision!

Des hôtes attentionnés et discrets, avec leur adorable chienne Lou. Une maison spacieuse, bien équipée. Une très belle vue sur les montagnes. Un accès immédiat à la rivière avec la possibilité de se baigner... Tout était parfait !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. La propriété est très bien située, et il ne manque rien. Nous accédons au bourg d'Arreau en 5 min à pied. Arreau, France great road cycling

The property was as described. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom large with a bathtub. The location was easy walking distance to the village. We had a lovely patio with table in a garden area. A short walk took us to a river. We sat in lounge chairs enjoying the river and the sun. When we arrived our host and hostess were very attentive. I would stay here again.

Très jolie surprise

Très bel emplacement, tout y est pour passer un bon séjour sans compter un accueil très sympa. Mon toutou s’est régalé dans la rivière, avec Lou et les nombreuses randonnées aux alentours.

Les propriétaires sont charmants et toujours à l’écoute des locataires, plein de bonnes adresses et et de beaux endroits à indiquer, très pratique pour les visites quand on ne connaît pas le coin. Tres jolie petite maison, y a tout , c est tres bien entretenu,exterieur comme interieur, rien a dire .La riviere juste a coté de la maison, la nuit s entend a peine . Nous avons fait qques visites,la commune a tout ce que certains petits villages manquent cruellement, quasiment tous les petts commerces sont au village .Tout est vert et tres beau aux allentours.Tres bon sejour dans l ensemble, je recommande tout de meme de bien reserver et prevoir ou on va au resto car sur un w end de pentecote .......soit c etait fermé soit sans reservation vous ne rentrez pas......ce que je trouve dommage pour un endroit accueillant du tourisme . Un accueil particulièrement chaleureux par des propriétaires très agréables et sympathiques. Un gîte confortable, où rien de manque, à proximité des petits commerces d'Arreau, et avec la fraîcheur de la rivière en prime au retour des escapades en montagnes...Bref, un excellent séjour. Nos sentimos como en casa. Jacqueline y Marc, súper amables, encantadores y buena gente. La casa tiene todo lo necesario para sentirte muy cómodo. Nos ha faltado tiempo para disfrutar más del entorno. Un placer salir de la casa y escuchar el sonido del río tan próximo. Arreau, pueblo precioso, y para hacer excursiones, el emplazamiento perfecto. Han sido 3 noches, y se nos ha hecho muy corto. Termino como el titulo: ¡¡No nos queríamos ir¡¡ . PD. Simba (cocker), tampoco.
