Renovated traditional house with character

Old typical renovated 2 story house with very high ceilings (3.60m).
Well equipped, in Saint-Georges historical downtown.
Access to 2 public squares (cantons) , nice view on the church.
Small fresh market at 100m every day during summer time. Medium size supermarket, hair dresser, book store at 100 m as well. Bigger fresh market in Cheray (2km from the house) in season and except Monday off season.
We have front and back patio available. There are part of the town public spaces and available for the renters to enjoy.

Very nice beach at 15 mn bike ride on bike paths.

House inside is naturally cool during the summer time (stone walls).

EMPLACEMENT TRÈS AGRÉABLE

Gîte très bien situé au coeur de la ville de Saint Georges d'oléron près d'une très belle église romane du XI éme siècle. Le gîte conforme à sa description a répondu à nos attentes. Il est à noter que nous avons particulièrement apprécié la fraîcheur procurée par les larges murs de l'habitat en cette semaine de fortes températures.

très belle maison à Saint-Georges d'Oléron

Les autres commentaires mettent déjà bien en valeur la maison, je confirme que nous l'avons trouvé en très bon état de propreté, la cuisine bien équipée en ustensiles, la salle de bain avec un peu de lessive sur place était une bonne surprise. L'accueil était excellent, le départ aussi, nous avons eu une parfaite communication et avons pu poser des questions avant notre arrivée. Une bonne expérience. Pour éviter les difficultés que nous avons eues, venir en voiture plutôt qu'à "pied". Nous étions sur place sans voiture, et avons eu un peu de mal à nous déplacer : 2 adultes et 2 enfants en vélo+remorque ou en bus (passage toutes les 90 minutes environ l'été), il faut bien s'organiser à l'avance pour toute la journée. A savoir : le clocher de l'église est juste en face de la fenêtre d'une des chambres, les cloches sonnent de 07h00 à 20h30, les enfants ont le sommeil assez bon mais le matin quand ils sont bien reposés, ça les a réveillés plusieurs jours de suite, adieu la grasse matinée jusqu'à 7h45 ;) Nous n'avons pas trouvé s'il y avait du wifi, mais nous n'avons pas demandé. Le réseau mobile Orange (donc aussi Sosh, Free etc) est faiblard dans la maison et autour.

Schönes Appartement auf der Ile d'Oléron

Schönes kleines Appartement zentral gelegen im Ort St. Georges. Fußläufig ist der Marktplatz mit Restaurant, Frisör und Supermarkt zu erreichen. An einigen Tage sind dort auf Marktstände. Apartment war sehr sauber und der Vermieter hat immer prompt geantwortet.

Une magnifique maison traditionnelle bien équipée et idéalement placée à Saint-George's d'Oléron

La maison avec murs en pierre, deux chambres avec plafonds peints d'origine est très calme et un bon point de départ pour la visite de l'île, les ballades à vélo avec belle plage de Plaisance à 3km. Située juste derrière l'église, la maison est tout près du marché et petits commerces. Les propriétaires et la personne qui nous a remis les clés sont charmants.

Charming Place for well being

The apartment is situated in one of the most beautiful places on the Island: in St. Georges. It is directly in the center of the village with an idyllic view on the old church and close to a bakery, a supermarket and a newspaper-shop. The old buidling of the apartment is very well renovated and because of the historic atmosphere inside and outside very charmful. The equipment offers all you need and wish - could not be better. From the apartment it is easy to discover the nice Ile d'Olérons, the beaches, the nature or other places. A nice and most recommendable place to stay for relaxing holidays.

aussi belle à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur.conforme, à la description, propreté impeccable, super bon accueil, avec de tres bons conseils pour les balades.il est tres rare de trouver une location si complete; rien ne manque, c'est comme à la maison! tres belle restauration, les proprietaires ont beaucoup de goût. bien sur, je recommenderais cette location à un ami

Confortable et agréable, on s'y sent bien.

La maison est très agréable et confortable, avec un équipement très complet ! Les photos donnent réellement une bonne idée de la location. La température à l'intérieur de la maison reste très agréable même lorsque les degrés augmentent dehors. La proximité du petit marché permet d'éviter régulièrement l'engorgement dans les grandes surfaces ce qui n'est pas négligeable. Les cloches rythmaient gentiment nos journées plutôt que nous gêner. L'accueil a été très cordial. Attention aux très jeunes enfants qui ne sont pas encore à l'aise sur leurs 2 jambes car l'escalier est très raide. A conseiller.
