Charming property located on the borders of the Dordogne, Lot, and Lot-et-Garonne departments on a 6-hectare estate with a solar-heated swimming pool (child alarm), a spa/jacuzzi and sauna, an outdoor shower, and a screened-in hut for sleeping outdoors in summer, all private, with breathtaking panoramic views.
A pétanque court, outdoor games for children and adults, relaxation, discovery, and well-being await you.
The house is occupied off-season, so it offers every comfort and is very well equipped. It is air-conditioned with a Canadian well and heated by a wood-burning stove and additional electric radiators.
Less than an hour from Bergerac and Sarlat in the Dordogne (24), Cahors in the Lot (46), and Agen in the Lot-et-Garonne (47), all discoveries are possible; the property is ideally located near major tourist and scenic spots. You'll be 800m from the village of Lacapelle Biron, with all amenities (butcher, PROXI grocery store, pastries and bread), pharmacy, a small Sunday market, and two restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
Due to Covid, linens are professionally laundered and included in the rental price.

Thierry is an excellent host. A man of many interests. The house was well equipped and in a great location. Beautiful towns and villages nearby. Lovely animals on site and opportunities to see wildlife etc. Pool was very refreshing and Thierry kept it nice and clean. We made good use of the hot tub and the sauna. We’d love to visit again.

Heavenly week !

This property is exactly as described and more. Pool,hot tub and sauna in great condition. Place clean and well equipped for a family. Lots to do in the area, which is by the way stunning, but complete peace and calm. Local village has a great shop, butchers and 2 restaurants

Countryside Peace

Absolutely loved everything about the place. The hosts are fantastic, the few animals are enough to be amusing, the pool was large enough for us 8 the sauna hot-with a great view. Will return for sure.

great stay

The property is nice as is Thierry and Isabella. It is quiet and beautiful at the house. I was disappointed with the sauna not working and the hot tub not getting hot. I was charged a linen fee by the owner which was not shown on the usa vrbo listing and i feel that needs to be fixed.Overall a great stay

Very friendly families! After checking, the sauna and the spa work without worries, it is just that it is necessary not to press the red button which cuts the power supply but on the green which launches the systems, we are disappointed that our guests did not did not ask for or report this remark. We are going to create notices in English for the exterior fittings. The Abritel site in French clearly indicates the procedure to follow for all household linen which is apparently not translated on the USA version which is not accessible to us. Looking forward to receiving them again!

Heaven truly is a place on Earth

Thierry & Isabel are perfect hosts to what is one of the most peaceful and serene homes we have had the pleasure to stay in. The facilities at their beautiful home are abundent and would suit anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. It is mixed with rustic charm and views to die for. The silence at night mixed with the ambient lighting and a glass of wine whilst relaxing in the hot tub lets all the troubles of the world melt away. I would have no hesitation in returning to this wonderful home.

A beautiful location and property

We have just returned from a lovely stay in Lacapelle-Biron. The property has everything you could need and is so restful and quiet. Thierry was really helpful and gave some good advice about local shops, markets and canoeing on the Dordogne. Thank you also for the delicious honey and the fruit from the garden. We really enjoyed visiting the local parks and amenities; visiting the prehistoric caves, Monpazier, Parc en Ciel and Canoeing from Domme. It is a lovely part of the world and we hope to be able to return one day. Thank you Thierry for making us feel so welcome.

Amazing holiday home with a spectacular view

We had a lovely holiday in Lacapelle-Biron staying at Thierry & Isabelle’s lovely home. There was lots to do; hot tub, sauna, swimming pool, pool table, table tennis, badminton, boules, darts, bbq. There were llamas, a donkey and 2 cats to watch and enjoy on the premises. The house was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. We were advised to take our own pool towels but house towels and bed linen were all provided. There was no air conditioning but with the shutters closed during the day and windows open made it a comfortable temperature. Thierry was very welcoming and informative and was there mornings to look after the animals. The restaurants in the village were lovely and only a 5-10 minute walk from the house. Overall an excellent stay and would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Thierry!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Gelände drumherum lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Aktivitäten mit Pool, Federball, Tischtennis und Billard sind sehr vielfältig. Alles ist in einem top Zustand!Thierry und Isabelle sind sehr nett und freundlich und man merkt gar nicht, dass sie nebenan leben.Wir wurden mit Eiern, Kartoffeln und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten versorgt - einfach toll!Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Superbes vacances

Très belle propriété avec un bon équipement. Thierry et Isabelle nous ont accueilli chaleureusement. Nous avons pu profiter pleinement du jaccuzi, de la piscine Dommage aux moustiques tigres mais c'est le jeu. Je recommande à tous.

C'est toujours un plaisir de recevoir des familles qui profitent et sont respectueuses des lieux. Avec une avant saison très pluvieuse dans notre region, nous avons eu cette année comme tout le monde autour pas mal d'insectes ... nous allons equiper, en plus des chambres qui le sont déjà, toute la maison de moustiquaires, et voir pour des pièges à phéromones sur les terrasse et diverses plantes repulsives afin de limiter la pression des insectes. Au plaisir de vous recevoir à nouveau !

Maison de tout confort

Très bon accueil de Thierry et Isabelle. Nous avons passé un super séjour, la région regorge d'endroits magnifiques à découvrir. La maison es de tout confort, avec vue imprenable. Tout est là pour passer un super séjour : piscine, jacuzzi, pétanque, terrain de volley, ping ping... Et billard ! Top pour les jeunes et moins jeunes ! Un super coin repas à labris du soleil et un coin détente sur des petits canapés bien appréciéables. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Merci pour tout !!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison. La vue est magnifique coté piscine ! Bien apprécié aussi les 2 terrasses, mais aussi le jacuzzi et le sauna. Maison très bien équipée avec des équipements de qualité (plancha, frigo américain, machine à café à grains). Grande gentillesse du propriétaire qui prend bien soin de sa maison et de ses hôtes.

Fantastische woning met een rustige ligging

Fantastisch, zeer complete woning van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij, 2 gezinnen (kinderen 11 - 16) werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen door de eigenaren die naast de woning wonen. Het huis is schoon, heeft een complete keuken (vaatwasser, bonenkoffie, grote Amerikaanse koelkast). Het zwembad is in combinatie met de jacuzzi en sauna een echte toevoeging. Het huis ligt zeer rustig gelegen, 's avonds is het heerlijk stil en erg donker. Op 800 meter is in het dorp een winkeltje waar brood en andere levensmiddelen te koop zijn. Grote supermarkten liggen in Montayral (25 min rijden). De eigenaar geeft goede tips over activiteiten in de omgeving en is altijd bereid om te helpen of uitleg te geven. In de omgeving zijn tal van kastelen en vestingen te bezoeken. Aanrader is zeker Sarlat, Monpazier en het vlakbij gelegen wijndomein "de la Tuque" Daarnaast is het erg groen en bosrijk. Fietsen (mtb of race) is zeker goed te doen. Dit huis is zeker een aanrader!

Deux super familles qui ont bien profité de la maison, de la piscine et des installations exterieures meme si le mois d'avril etait un peu frais et pluvieux !!! Un vrai plaisir de les accueillir et essayer d'échanger malgré la barrière de la langue. Curieux de notre région et respectueux, nous les accueillerons à nouveau avec plaisir avec encore plein de conseils et de choses à partager !

Semaine au top dans cette maison tres bien équipée avec superbe vue sur la nature. Nous n avons manqué de rien. Merci pour le soin apporté à l’accueil que vous nous réservez : maison impeccable , produits de base permettant de s’ approvisionner, environnement soigné , fleuri et vue superbe sur la campagne et les petits bois quelque soit la fenêtre … sans compter la présence des animaux ( Lama ,chat , poules, oiseaux )! Idéal pour déconnecter !

Situé aux abords de Lacapelle-Biron, ce gite est un véritable havre de paix. Beau jardin (avec un jolie potager) et un équipement vraiment très complet. La maison est propre et bien aménagée, le puit Canadien apporte un peu de fraîcheur la nuit. Propriétaires au top, disponibles et très discret. Nous avons eu la chance de goûter à la production de miel du jardin (une tuerie) et profiter au quotidien de « Filou la patte », le Lama (qui raffole des carottes). Bref, avis unanimes du groupe, nous avons passé une excellente semaine.

Calme, accueil, plaisir et… pas envie de partir !

Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir profiter de la maison d’Isabelle et Thierry à 2 couples d’amis et 3 enfants pendant 1 semaine. Certes la chance de la météo était avec nous mais surtout la chance d’un gîte aussi agréablement aménagé, complètement équipé et très bien situé a été une splendide découverte. De plus, les propriétaires ont été de bons conseils dès l’accueil, nous ont fait profiter de leur récoltes fruits et légumes bio-succulents et ont été disponibles mais jamais intrusifs. Évidemment, quand le soleil et les étoiles sont de la partie, les espaces extérieurs équipés et les piscine/sauna/jacuzzi bien chauds sont juste ce qu’il faut pour profiter du matin à la nuit du calme et de la vue qui font un des atouts majeurs de ce gîte ! D’ailleurs, aucune photo ne rendra la vue aussi « waouw » que celle que vous découvrirez en arrivant ;-) Bref, n’hésitez pas louer et profitez !!! Merci Isabelle et Thierry

Prachtige woning op een mooi plekje

We hebben hier een heerlijke 2 weken gehad. Het huisje is mooi en compleet. Er is wel wat weinig opbergruimte voor de kleding en wat weinig zitplaatsen in de woonkamer, maar ja... het zwembad, de hot tub en het vrije uitzicht maken veel goed. De eigenaar verbleef in een afgezonderd gedeelte van hetzelfde huis, maar de beide gedeeltes zijn op een mooie manier van elkaar gescheiden en je merkt dus ook bijna niet dat hij wel in de buurt is. Dat is namelijk ook nog wel eens praktisch gebleken in de vakantie. Het voornamelijk engels talig contact was prima, zowel vooraf als tijdens de vakantie. Al met al een uitstekende ervaring.

Un havre de sérénité pour des vacances idéales!

Nous avons passé en famille une semaine revigorante dans la maison d’Isabelle et Thierry. Aux petits soins dès notre arrivée et par ailleurs des plus discrets, nous les remercions très chaleureusement pour leurs conseils et leurs nombreuses marques d’attention qui ont ponctué notre séjour. Nos enfants nous ont confié ne jamais avoir mangé des poires et des haricots verts aussi bons! Les moments autour du billard, dans le sauna, le jacuzzi, la piscine et sous l’auvent ont été des moments de grande sérénité! La vue est imprenable, le calme absolu et les allées et venues des lamas sous nos yeux ont contribué à rendre les soirées agréables. En un mot, un petit paradis! Un immense Merci à Isabelle et Thierry. On reviendra ;-)
