Il Palazzetto is built on a magnificent property of 3.5 hectares surrounded by olive groves, situated only 500m away from Pergine Valdarno, a village at the heart of the culture and art triangle of Florence, Arezzo and Siena. The fantastic unspoiled panorama surrounding the villa has been painted by Leonardo da Vinci, and today these paintings belong to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's private collection.

Decorated with exceptional taste and attention to detail, the property has been completely restored in 2004 and has been equipped with all modern facilities. On the ground floor there is a very large entrance leading to a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace and a grand piano, opening onto the garden. On this level there is also a twin bedroom and a bathroom.

Stairs lead up to the first floor where one will find a Tuscan kitchen, a large dining room with an old stone fireplace, four doubles and a single bedroom with two bathrooms, a TV room with satellite TV, and a corridor leading to a covered panoramic terrace. A pool house with an open sitting plan and a barbecue is situated near a fantastic infinity-edge swimming pool (12m x 6m) surrounded by fruit trees.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Ages 2 - 62. There was something for everyone to enjoy. The folks who manage the property were always close by and helpful. 10/10 would stay here again. Amazing place.

We (6-7 persons) had a wonderful stay in Anna’s beautiful house. Great charm and authenticity, but with modern conveniences. Beautiful sunsets from the balcon area, short walk to a small lovely village and close to the major attractions in Tuscany! And great contact with Anna and her support team.

The property was spectacular, and we really enjoyed our time there. We stayed for 12 nights this summer, and found that it exceeded our expectations. The location for exploring the nearby area was great, and the host was very accommodating. We would recommend this property. The covered deck is outstanding, and we spent most of our time there.

Anna was a fabulous host - incredibly quick and helpful in her responses to our questions and requests. Her home is stunning with amazing views of the countryside. We spent 90% of our time out on the beautiful patio and by the pool. Would definitely use her recommendations for chef and driver, as they were also great!

Beautiful Rustic House

We loved our stay in Pergine Valdarno. The house is very rustic but has everything we needed. Anna was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions. Fabrizio made us some delicious meals and we had a great cooking class with him too. The location is nice to walk into the village for dinners too.

There is no way to fully describe the magic we discovered when arriving at Anna's villa. Nine of our family members stayed three weeks, and we didn't want to ever leave. The villa itself could have been a movie set with its well-curated antiques and intimate touches. We relaxed on the covered porch and by the pool for hours on end. We nested in perfectly and lacked for nothing. Three cooking lessons with Fabrizio capped off each week with trips to Firenze, Rome and countless fortified hill towns in Tuscany and Umbria filling our days. We long to return and will hold the memories forever in our hearts. Thank you, Anna, for sharing your magic with us!

A wonderful house in a fabulous location. We enjoyed every room, from the library to the pool area. the open sided dining and sitting area was where we spent most time. The view is spectacular and it always had a cooling breeze.Had it not been for the neighbouring dogs running around the property in the morning and barking at night it would truly have been paradise.

Great Tuscan Villa In A Central Location

The Old Tuscan Farmhouse was perfect for our family and is exactly how it is described. The villa is old but charming and appreciated the modern updates that were completed several years ago. Every bedroom in the villa was unique and very large in size. Of course, the best room was the outdoor patio with breathtaking sunset views over the Tuscan hills. This is where we spent most of our time and expect others will too. Thanks to Anna and the team for a wonderful stay!

Truly a Tuscan Dream

Our extended family gathered here for 1 week last week, from all parts of the globe. We were thoroughly enchanted with the Villa..and wished we could have stayed longer! Very spacious and well laid out..Anna has thought of everything..Plenty to do for all ages. A great base to explore the surrounding villages, Arezzo,Siena, and Florence..we could have done more, but time was limited and we also wanted to spend time enjoying the villa. The covered patio has magnificent views of the area along with incredible sunsets. We spent many evenings here enjoying the tranquility of the area. The pool was also a favourite with all during the day. We would all thoroughly recommend this and hope to return one day.

Unforgettable experience

We stayed at Anna's villa for two weeks with family. It was magical. The property is stunning, and equipped with everything you could ask for and more. All bedrooms have air con, and the villa itself was quite cool even during the heat wave we experienced. We spent hours in the pool and on the gorgeous terrace. It is an ideal location for trips to Arezzo, Siena, Florence etc. And we highly recommend cooking classes and private dinners by Chef Fabrizio. The town is just a short walk away for a cafe, or play on the playground. Thank you Anna, Bruno and Fiorenza for everything. We can't wait to come back!

Just Wow!

My family of 9, across three generations, stayed at this beautiful villa in July. Everything about it was simply amazing. The views were gorgeous. Despite the extreme temperatures, we never felt too hot inside or outside. The air conditioners all worked beautifully in the bedrooms and the rest of the home always felt cool. As the pictures illustrate, there are a lot of indoor and outdoor spaces for people to spread out - though, we tended to congregate on the covered balcony, in the pool, or by the pool table. It was hard to leave at the end of our stay. Everyone absolutely loved it. Thank you for sharing your special home with us. We hope to return one day.

Big House

We enjoyed our stay but I was surprised that none of the three bathrooms was directly connected to any of the four bedrooms on the main floor. This was okay because our group was old friends but might be less comfortable for less informal gatherings. This floor was also a bit noisy (thin walls, hard floors and loud door closings). The kitchen is workable and the view from the covered porch is magical. The downstairs bedroom in the main house is the least desirable but the annex bedroom is lovely.

We are sorry that the layout of the house didn’t meet your expectations - it was built in 1600 and we have tried to preserve its original charme and features as much as possible, which do not include en-suite facilities for the bedrooms on the first floor. In terms of noise, there are thick stone walls throughout so we are surprised you found it noisy. The view is indeed magical and we are glad you enjoyed your stay nonetheless!

Incredible location and stunning property

This is one of the loveliest places I have ever visited. The house, the garden, the pool are all amazing. It's a short walk to the town where there is a restaurant, pharmacy, bakery, bar and cafe. My only criticism (and this is a very minor one) is that the owners did not provide some very basic essential items like adequate toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, surface cleaner/disinfectant, soaps etc. so it was necessary on the first day to shop for these. The bedding, towels and pool towels were all fine and the kitchen is well stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans. The location is perfect for visiting Florence, Siena and Arezzo. Overall, I can highly recommend this property, but take the above comments into account.

A lovely, peaceful villa

Our family of six had a lovely stay at Anna’s old Tuscan farmhouse. Like any rental, there are pluses and minuses to consider, but it all comes down to the type of experience you’re looking for. For us, we wanted the quintessential Italian villa experience and this rental was just absolutely perfect for that. The home is beautiful, but of course old, so you have to accept its rustic charm and all of its character and history with a little dust, cobwebs and a few bugs. The location is great too. We wanted something quietly situated in the countryside, away from the tourist crunch, but close enough to reach most of the major cities and villages in Chianti and Val d’Orcia. The location was perfect for quickly getting in and out for easy day trips in both directions, but secluded enough that you could enjoy the peace and quiet once you got back. There were many times during our stay where it felt like we were the only people for miles (when in reality we were just a short 5m walk from the lovely local village, Pergine Valdarno). One last thing I’d like to mention is the terrace and the pool. Both are absolutely stunning for their commanding views of the valley. Many mornings (and nights) were spent on the terrace, watching the quiet valley wake, or the sun setting. Likewise, our kids really enjoyed the pool. It was bigger than we expected, clean and again, just amazing views. I hope someday we’ll be able to return. I highly recommend staying at this property.

Wonderful villa

We had a very happy week staying in Anna’s beautiful old family villa. We were lucky enough to be greeted by her and shown around. The setting is beautiful and just the right walking distance to the village where you can eat, have a drink and buy prepared food if you wish. The villa has lots of space and charming living areas so we ate in several locations from by the pool in the ‘loggia’ with the large open BBQ to the outside dining table but most enjoyed was the ivy clad open sided terrace on the first floor with huge seating and dining areas and heavenly views. The villa is old and has immense charm which Anna and her family have kept just right. The bathrooms are modern and the kitchen is well stocked. Thank you Anna

Heaven, beauty, history and charm in Tuscany

We stayed in this beautiful villa for 1 week with 3 other couples. It was stunning! To drive up and see the gorgeous vines in this lovely farmhouse, surrounded with olive grows and perched high on a hill overlooking the Chianti region was a dream come true. Being in the house was like stepping back in time yet we had everything we needed, lovely comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, a complete kitchen and many places to sit and enjoy the house and each other’s company. We made a lovely dinner one night and sat outside in the patio with candles and moonlight. The pool area was breathtaking and a great place to relax and the outdoor patio amazing. We took a fantastic cooking class one day with Fabrizio at the villa! Anna was extremely kind and always got back to me immediately with answers to my many questions. We were sorry we didn’t get the chance to meet her in person, but Fiorenza and Bruno were helpful with everything. It was a magical week in Tuscany,one of the most beautiful places in the world. We will never forget our time here and hope to come back soon! Thank you Anna for everything!
