Villa La Castellina is an old farmer’s home known as “casa colonica” from the late 1800s. It boasts panoramic gorgeous views and sits on 12 hectares (29 acres) of land which includes about 1200 olive trees and a small vineyard. A swimming pool with a BBQ area is available to all guests.
An extensive restoration project began early January 2017 and was completed in summer 2019. Much care and attention to detail has been devoted to bringing back to life a little part of the Tuscan landscape.

La Castellina

A wonderful property with beautiful rooms and views in a tranquil part of Chianti. Excellent communication with the owner (Julian) and his representatives (Mirella and Alan) who were all very helpful in arranging a great stay for us. Make sure to book Rosa to cook food for you - she's great!

Family friends

Hands down one of the beautiful places we have ever stayed! Our stay here in late June way exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 11 - 3 families and the set up was perfect with each bedroom having its own bathroom, a lovely pool, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need to make a meal. We spent most of our time together at the outdoor table overlooking the valley below. The property is well maintained and you can tell the owner put thought into every little detail. The highlight of our visit was a delicious dinner by Rosa including making homemade pasta together. Only wish our stay was longer. Cant recommend enough!!

I worked in the aviation industry most of my adult life (27 years) The events of 2020 led to an early forced retirement from being an airplane Captain. I am now learning and dedicating my time to making wine, olive oil from the land around Villa La Castellina and becoming the best host I can possibly be.

Why they chose this property

Villa La Castellina has spectacular views, offers the utmost in privacy and has been renovated with passion and love for the Tuscan ways, yet maintaining a contemporary feel. While it is located in the countryside, it is only 15 mins away from Montevarchi, 50 mins away from Arezzo and an hour from Florence by car. However, it also offers a group of friends or relatives the opportunity to enjoy the tuscan landscape secluded from crowds in the comfort of the Villa and its surroundings.
