About Valancy and Steve Harlow
Steve is a Chartered Financial Consultant and Valancy is a dental hygienist and a certified group exercise /aqua fitness instructor. Steve is a native Mainer and Valancy grew up in New Brunswick, Canada. We have one son, who is a recent college graduate in Civil Engineering. Our son has played hockey since age 4 so these are our first winters in a long time, not spent living at the rink! We love skiing and we love the beach.
Why Valancy and Steve Harlow chose Old Orchard Beach
Steve's connection to Old Orchard Beach began before he was even born. His parents met and fell in love at the end of the old world famous Old Orchard Beach pier dancing the night away to the sounds of Benny Goodman. Growing up, Steve and his large extended French Canadian family from Lewiston, Maine did day trips to Old Orchard nearly ever summer weekend. When the opportunity to purchase a beach house here came up it was an easy decision. He has owned the property at Beachwalk Four since 1985 and, with Valancy's help, continues to improve it every year.
What makes this House unique
Our beach house is located on a section of the 7 mile beach called 'Grand Beach'. It is thought by all of the real estate gurus to be the most desirable location because of the fine sand, the gentle slope with no steep drop off and the wide expanse of beach available at low and high tide. The roof top deck addition is our favorite place to enjoy morning coffee and happy hour. It's always 5 o'clock somewhere!
