About this property

Large charming cottage in Carpentras (prox. Ventoux Provence), calm of the countryside

On a "restanque" plot (= in steps), you will have 9 rooms, including:
1- the house with 1 large living room and 2 bedrooms,
2- an annex, overlooking the exterior, of 2 bedrooms and 2 small bedrooms, with a bathroom in the middle
3- a room / studio below (with its terrace).

The 11m x 4m pool, still below, is completely fenced, and includes a relaxation and pétanque area. Its size was intended to allow both ball games and swimming.
We do not control the weather, but for example in June the water temperature was around 24 ° in the early morning and 27 ° in the evening; and without using the heat pump which is possible with an extra charge!

Autonomous children can go and have fun in town: eat an ice cream, see a movie, play tennis club, ...

The new Carpentras station is 1/4 hour away on foot and puts Avignon at 1/2 hour by train.

So you can come without a car, and give yourself a week of idleness.

At 11 km is the first because France aquatic on 5 hectares: "Splashworld Provence" (800 Allée de Beaulieu 84170 Monteux).

Mont Ventoux and the Luberon are about a half hour away.
The sea is 1 hour away

We are unable to accept animals.

A deposit of 800 € will be requested upon arrival and will be returned 15 days after departure if no reason for partial or total withholding has been found.

Perfect stay with cycle friends!

Very nice accommodation for a big group of people near the centre of Carpentras overlooking green surroundings. With a central dining room and big swimming pool. From there we made cycle trips to the Ventoux and other nice places in the neighbourhood. We will surely return in the future.

Good location. Odd layout

We had a lovely week staying here. It is ideally situated to cycle to mount ventoux and the gorges de la nesque being very near to Bedouin. The swimming pool was lovely. The layout of the whole gite is a bit odd. The main house has two bedrooms. One of which is a double. But the other has a single, a bunk bed and then a mezzanine with another two singles. In another building there are four bedrooms and one bathroom. There are two doubles with single bedded rooms off of each. Then between the single rooms is the bathroom. You can lock the other door which goes into the other bedroom. But you would have to be a close family to use that building! There is also another building with a double bed and another bathroom. We we’re only given one set of keys so when we wanted to go out we had to make sure someone was there to let us in if we didn’t all go out together. We we’re a family of three couples, children, grandparents and uncle and aunts. So we didn’t all want to cycle up mount ventoux! Kitchen is also rather small if you are catering for 10 people. Outside table was a lovely place to all eat though and the views were amazing.

Très bon séjour

Location très bien située avec une très belle vue sur les dentelles de Montmirail et proche du centre de Carpentras. La location est idéale pour une grande famille car la disposition des pièces permet à chacun de trouver sa place. Nous avons apprécié l'acceuil des hôtes et le bon équipement du gite. A recommander. Nous avons passé une belle semaine dans cette maison . Nous n'avons pas du tout ressenti le fait que le gîte se situe dans le centre de Carpentras car il faisait très calme et très belle vue!

Maison pratique et très bien équipée pour grande famille (nous étions 12) à deux pas du centre de Carpentras. Environnement calme. Propriétaires sympathiques. Petit bémol : l'arrivée pas avant 18:00.

Vacances en famille au pied du Ventoux

Séjour parfait pour notre petite famille (3 couples). Gîte dans un état impeccable et correspondant parfaitement à la déscription du site. Coup de coeur pour la grande piscine et ses abords! Sans oublier l'accueil très sympathique de Monsieur et Madame Yvan.

superbe villa

location spacieuse idéale pour plusieurs familles, comme c´était notre cas (3 familles avec 3 enfants de moins de 2 ans). Nombre impressionnant de lits. Bien située à qq pas du centre de Carpentras et de la boulangerie "Au four des Halles". Des propriétaires fort sympathiques. La description des lieux m´a valu plusieurs échanges de mails avec Jeanne qui s´est montrée très patiente. Car pas évident de rendre par photos ou texte l´agencement très particulier de cette maison avec toutes ses dépendances et ses différents niveaux, qui offrent par ailleurs une grande indépendance à chacun. Piscine rafraichissante et grande, juste ce qu´il faut ! Avec deux marches bien commodes pour les petits. Côté équipement, rien ne manquait. Deux frigidaires bien précieux pour 10 personnes. Un fer à repasser simple mais performant. Une grande plancha très appréciée par tous. Petit bémol: le confort tout relatif du lit dans le studio... surtout pour les séniors ;) Je recommande vivement les lieux.

Bel endroit séjour très agréable la disposition des chambres est un peu particulière donc il faudrait préciser mezzanine et chambre traversante c'est a dire besoin de passer dans une pour accéder à l autre quand ce ne sont que des adultes qui dorment dedans mais sinon un lieu vraiment sympa des hôtes a l écoute nous serons pouvoir y revenir une autre fois

Génial !!

Un grand merci aux propriétaires. Accueil chaleureux et sympathique. La propriété est très agréable et suffisamment spacieuse pour ne pas se marcher dessus. Idéale pour une grande famille, un groupe d'amis... La vue est juste magnifique depuis la terrasse, la piscine est vraiment sympa avec la première marche idéale pour les tout petits. Je conseille vivement !!

Nice cottage with a super large pool

The cottage was very clean. The bedrooms are functional furnished, but you have everything you need for holiday. In the kitchen you have more than enough dishes etc. for a large group of people. The best thing about the cottage is definetly the very large, clean swimming pool! The cottage is close to the center of Carpentras but in a really quiet street. You can take a trip in less than an hour drive for example to Mount Ventoux, Avignon, Pont du Gard or Les Baux de Provence. Dominique and Jeanne are both very friendly and really try to make you enjoy your stay. There is only one thing you should be aware of: we stayed in August and had a lot of mosquitos, so take something against them with you. To sum it up: We had great summer holiday with the whole family!

Well-situated and pleasant property

Close to all amenities and yet on the edge of beautiful countryside. The house has superb views, a large swimming pool and plenty of rooms for multiple or extended families. It was comfortable and clean. The owners and friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. There are some minor things to watch out for: - Do read the contract carefully, for instance extra charges for linen and cleaning and check-in is 6pm, not 4pm as it says on the web-site - There are some trip hazards which are not well marked and my wife tripped on one of them. However, the owners were very helpful in seeking and medical attention for her Overall a most enjoyable stay and good value for money.

Grote prettige woning; met bovenal zeer vriendelijke eigenaren, die naast het huis wonen

De locatie is erg mooi, met veel zon. Carpentras is een leuke stad. Verder dicht bij de Mont Ventoux; prima fietsbaar allemaal. Maar vooral een mooi groot huis van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik zou meteen weer reserveren de volgende keer.

Oase van rust op loopafstand van centrum

Heerlijk ruim huis, veel slaapkamers/bedden. Verwarmd zwembad. Oase van rust. Prachtig uitzicht. Keuken is wat klein. Ruime woon/eetkamer. Flesje Rose stond klaar in de koelkast. Mooi ruim terras met grote tafel en veel stoelen. Prima verblijfplaats voor grote groep. Wij kwamen om te wielrennen, geen overdekte plek om de fietsen neer te zetten, wel beschut in de goed afgesloten tuin/terras.

Très agréable et fonctionnel

Gite vaste et fonctionnel, idéal pour une réunion de famille. Chacun y trouve son espace grâce aux chambres et studio annexes. Tout y est fait pour que l'on s'y sente bien. Décoration de bon goût, très belle vue et accueil très courtois. Nous avons apprécié la proximité du centre ville de Carpentras et des nombreux superbes villages à visiter dans la région. Excellent séjour.

Merci beaucoup d’avoir pris le temps de saisir ces quelques mots si chaleureux. Nous gardons nous aussi un excellent souvenir du séjour de 3 semaines que vous avez passé ici pendant que vous vous produisiez au festival Off d’Avignon 2014, avec 10 très sympathiques membres de votre compagnie internationale. Ces derniers ont pu à la fois se préserver des espaces d'autonomie ou se réunir, aussi bien pour le loisir que pour le travail. Même lorsque tous les véhicules étaient déjà pris, il leur était très facile de faire des courses ou de se promener à pied.
