Beautiful villa, panoramic views of sea and mountains, close to town

We are glad you enjoyed your stay in the villa and thank you for your comments and for giving the villa a 5* rating. We are a little disappointed with the 'shop worn' comment as we have just spent a considerable amount of money having the villa prepared for the summer season and painted inside and outside. We have noted your recommendations and will remedy as appropriate.

Desafortunadamente, a veces, hay un ligero olor a humedad. Creemos que esto se debe a que la villa se coloca inmediatamente sobre el mar y también debido al clima cálido. Hacemos todo lo posible para controlar esto con deshumidificadores. La villa también se limpia extremadamente bien, pero nuevamente, debido a la posición, puede ensuciarse / ensuciarse muy rápidamente después de una limpieza a fondo. Desafortunadamente, las hormigas son un problema aquí y en todas partes en España y hacemos todo lo posible para controlarlas. Tenemos un contrato anual con una empresa de exterminio que viene regularmente y también colocamos trampas para hormigas, pero si las personas que se quedan dejan comida o no limpian adecuadamente, obtendrán hormigas. ¿No entendemos los comentarios sobre los sofás ya que se lavan regularmente?

Thank you very much for your good review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay but sorry you had a problem with ants. We have the villa fumigated against ants regularly so are disappointed that you had this problem. In view of this, we have arranged for the villa to be fumigated on a more frequent basis to try to eradicate this problem!

We are very upset, indeed, about this review as, obviously, all we want is for people to have a lovely time in the villa. Fortunately, most people do and ALL OUR OTHER REVIEWS ARE 5* but every once in a while you come across someone who is determined it is no good and wants money back. This person asked us if he could have 14 people stay in the villa. Normally, we only allow 12 but, as it was a special occasion, we arranged for the rental of 2 extra beds and allowed him 14, and at no extra charge, except for the beds. He never paid us for these beds. He also didn't pay the laundry charge nor the final cleaning charge, leaving us to have to pay our property managers the money which he owed for 14 people. Our property managers had told us that they had a feeling he wasn't going to pay these charges, even before he arrived at the villa as he was saying he knew nothing about them even though they were on his contract. In answer to his comments, all we can say is that we have property managers who open the villa up on a weekly basis and, of course, thoroughly clean the villa and check everything in the kitchen before a rental. We checked with them that they had done this to a good standard and they assured us that they had. We pay a gardener a lot of money to maintain the gardens. We have an annual contract to get rid of the ants. The property manager would have checked for ants before their arrival but, obviously, the ants just turned up. All they needed to do was to call the property manager about the ants and they would have been eradicated immediately. We had just had the villa painted, both inside and out. We leave light bulbs in the villa just in case they are needed while people are staying there. Again, our property manager would check they were working before people arrive. There have not been any cats in the villa. The patio/terrace furniture is good. I stress to people who enquire that the villa is situated on a mountain, so if you do walk into town, it is very steep. People are welcome to take our lighter sunbeds down to the pool and bring them back to the villa when they are finished. There are, of course, heavier sunbeds at the villa which cannot be moved. There is a shade by the swimming pool. My last comment is that on the day this rental left, the people who moved in the same day have rented our villa for the last 4 years and love it there! Glad that you enjoyed your holiday in Villa Mimosa and that you will recommend it to your friends - Thank you. I am sorry you would have liked a different cooker. I must be honest and say we actually like the cooker and have found it quite adequate in cooking for 12 people. If anyone found that they needed another oven then the microwave is actually an oven as well and there is, of course, the barbeque, outside. Regarding the sink. We recently had a little storage room built on the front terrace and there is, in fact, a sink in this room. Unfortunately, they have not, as yet, plumbed this in but this will be done very soon.
