Delightful villa in rural location with own private swimming pool and garden

Our villa is for rent for holidays only. We do not accept long term bookings or bookings for under one week.
Please note that the villa is in a quiet hamlet with a few other houses most of which do not overlook the property at all. However there is one property behind it that does overlook the pool and garden.

Set in its own private grounds including swimming pool and garden with three patio seating areas, a pergola and a gas barbecue. Comprising of a large lounge and dining area, kitchen,3 bedrooms: 2 double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. There is a separate family bathroom with full sized bath and shower over.
A shaded net fly enclosure overlooks the pool complete with table and chairs for alfresco dining. The pool also has a paved patio area adjacent to it with sun loungers and table and chairs, shaded by palm trees. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen with a full size fridge freezer, washing machine, gas hob, electric oven and microwave, and all the necessary kitchen utensils. Digital TV channels, DVD player and WIFI are included. The gardens, which include orange,lemon and palm trees are completely enclosed with a gated driveway.
The lounge diner and master bedroom are air conditioned, and all rooms have heaters and electric fans if required. All 3 bedrooms have large wardrobes. There is a large driveway with parking for several cars.

Location

Almeria airport is just over one hour away and Murcia airport one and a half hours. Both are easily accessible by motorway. There are budget airlines flying into both airports on a regular basis. Malaga is approximately three and a half hours and Alicante is approximately a two hour drive away offering a larger choice of airlines and flight times.
Although the property is set in a peaceful rural location surrounded by olive trees, it is within easy reach of the town of Albox, which is about a five minute drive away. The town has several supermarkets including a Lidl a Dia and a Mercadona,a wide range of shops,bars and restaurants, and a large street market selling everything from fruit and vegetables to clothes and household goods held every Tuesday morning. The small village of Almanzora is about the same distance, and has some small bars and two small shops, a farmacia and a bank. The small town of Arboleas is also within easy reach with a range of bars restaurants and small supermarkets and its own markets.
There are 17 kilometres of unspoilt sandy beaches in the area. Mojacar and Garrucha are 35-40 minutes drive away on excellent uncrowded roads. There are many small restaurants, bars and cafes along the seafront and well as children's playgrounds. Vera Playa is a slightly livelier resort with a Water Park. Mojacar Pueblo is well worth a visit, a traditional Spanish Pueblo Blanco high on the hillside with great views and small shops and restaurants.
An hours drive away is the national park area that includes the large fresh water Lake Negratin. There is a small lakeside beach area with a restaurant that affords spectacular views across the lake.
Families will enjoy a visit to the nearby Wild West theme parks of Fort Bravo Texas and Oasys. Due to the dry desert like landscape of Almeria, it has often been used to stand in for the Wild West in movies and TV Shows. You can visit authentic looking Wild West towns and watch cowboy demonstrations and shows such as gunfights and bank hold ups. There are also restaurants and pools in the parks. Oasys also has a zoo.
Further away but possible for a day trip is the historic city of Granada, with its wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as historic sites such as the Moorish Alhambra Palace with its beautiful gardens and water features.
Almeria is about an hours drive away and has a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants, and the ruins of the Moorish Alcazaba. If you are feeling adventurous there is a ferry service from Almeria to Morocco and Algeria.
