This is NOT A CONDO! The Nook is a brand new one bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, living room and dining room oceanfront hideaway. It is perfect as a honeymoon spot or a couples retreat. It can also be combined with the main house to support a large family or party of 8-10 people (see listing #500826). The Nook has 180 degree ocean views. There is a deck in the front and a private deck off the bedroom. It is a fantastic spot and will provide memories to last! At times the main house and the apartment may be rented at the same time.

Experience the roar of crashing waves and the delicate mist of warm saltwater as it crashes along the coast. This is a secluded piece of paradise overlooking turquoise water with turtles, rays and starfish. Walk to your own private beach where you can snorkel in privacy with waters all to yourself. The ocean may change daily. Some weeks it is like glass while others you can surf on the waves! If you're looking for a bustling tourist destination, this is not the place for you.

Ocean Overlook is only 10 minutes from Red Hook Harbor where ferries can take you to other islands, including Virgin Gorda with its beautiful rock formation and caves, St. John with prime snorkeling and hiking, and Jost Van Dyke with its sleepy Caribbean fishing villages.

Great ocean front location

The location was very secluded away from tourist areas. The beach wasn’t a good swimming spot but very private, and the turtles in the cove were active during our entire trip. Our hosts were great with suggestions and really responsive. We would recommend!

Relax with an Amazing View

The view is worth the stay. The location is remote, but still easy to find and not too long of a drive to other locations. The host was great. Very easy to communicate with, very quick to respond to any questions and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Breathtakingly beautiful views

Ocean Overlook is exactly what we were looking for in a vacation. The view is unbeatable. The host, Helene, was very helpful and responsive. The house has everything you need for a stay. The bed is comfortable. We spend hours on the balcony and walked down to the private beach a couple of times. Highly recommended!!

A Gem

This is a sweet spot—quiet, secluded and with an amazing view and everything you need to set up a base camp for exploring or hunker down and never leave. Loved watching the turtles from the deck.

Absolute Paradise

This stay is an unbelievable treasure! The views are the best we've ever had at a VRBO. The lower level apartment had everything needed for a perfect stay. It is a very private place with a gated entrance and a short trek down through the rainforest to a private beach for the adventurous, which we took full advantage. Thank you for opening your home and letting us experience a little piece of St. Thomas! We will be back!

Slice of Paradise

Location location location! Beautiful views! Peaceful & secluded. If you’re looking for a place off the beaten path, this is it. We had an idyllic week. Our only disappointment was not being able to snorkel off the beach, but the ocean didn’t cooperate. Even so, the waves were beautiful. Thank you to Helene for her gracious hospitality.

Private slice of paradise

When looking for an escape from the winter cold we discovered a listing that seemed to hit every checkmark. What stood out the most was that this is NOT a touristy location. We were looking for solitude in paradise and we certainly found it!The property was gorgeous and exactly as advertised. There were lots of amenities that made for a seamless stay. Having access to laundry was a huge benefit! We were equally close to Magens Bay, Red Hook, and all sorts of phenomenal beaches and sights/sites. We spent our days exploring beautiful St. Thomas but came back early every night to enjoy the view from the porch. I could have sat there for hours, just enjoying the ocean and the peace (actually, we did just that!)We couldn’t recommend this stay any more. Everything was top notch. Our only issue was that one week just wasn’t enough!

Phenomenal

I am hesitant on leaving a good review.. only due to my own greediness of keeping this little gem hidden! This houses location is unparalleled to anywhere we have ever stayed throughout all of the Virgin Islands! The seclusion, the incredibly breathtaking view, the experience of having your own private little cove to explore at your leisure was stuff of fantasys.. dreams made real! The house was super cute and clean.. we never ventured away for too long, everything we could want or do was all right there! We can not wait to go back! Thank you for letting us experience your paradise.

Wow, what a fantastic

Wow! We stayed at this oceanfront place and were very glad we did. First, let me say it was cozy, decorated beautifully and the furnishings were very comfortable. But...it was all about the view! Unobstructed 180 degree views and the ocean feels so close I wondered if I could throw in a line and fish right from the deck. We sat on the leather sofa and could see sea turtles without going outside! We have stayed at oceanfront places before and were nowhere this close to the ocean. We walked to the beach and did beach combing every morning. We counted the hermit crabs on the way. We only saw one other person on the beach while we were there. When the ocean was calm, we walked to the beach and snorkeled right in front of the house. One thing is for sure, we were never bored with the view. The waves changed daily from rough and roaring when we arrived, to soft and soothing, then pounding and thunderous. We slept under a mosquito canopy and kept the doors open all night listening to the surf. Restaurant, grocery stores and a K-Mart are very close by. Most people want to dine at an oceanfront restaurant. We knew we had the best seat in the house, right where we were! I should mention that the owners were great, always wanting to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I highly recommend this place. owners

Stunning!

First, I would like to say dealing with Helene(from beginning to end) was first rate! She not only answered all my questions, but gave more info than asked for because she knew exactly the questions I would be asking next! Obviously, she knows her property and guests. She had several books there that helped give some direction on things to do and great places to eat. The property is a little difficult to get to, but once you are there, the only thing you will say to yourself is...'Sooooo worth the trip!'....The journey is part of the fun isn't it? Her directions are spot on! The house is equipped with anything you could possible want.....including a food processor and french press for my favorite coffee! The bed and furniture are stylish and comfortable. I think it truly represents the culture and surroundings. The upper deck is to die for. But, the bottom part of the house has equally impressive deck. The internet was a little whacky, but we made due and who wants to look at the internet with a view like this anyway! We only noticed due to a couple of days of bad weather. There are a couple of small things that could use a little attention, but this really is a wonderful place to stay and get away from it all (or, take a short drive and enjoy the cities below). We Loved our stay at your beautiful home. Will definitely visit again! Tammy and Mat

Wow the views!!!

Beautiful space overlooking Tutu bay. We really enjoyed our stay. Making meals in the the well appointed kitchen, exploring the beach and counting sea turtle from the deck. If you want to get away from crowds this is the place. Can't wait to return.

Magnificent inside and out

If you are lucky enough to be reading this, you should grab this place now. This is a truly special place, both the location and the living space. We would rather be here than the Ritz. Very different places, this one is unique and far removed from the madding crowd.

Awesome place

The St Thomas Ocean overlook is great! If you enjoy privacy and seclusion with a great view, then this is the place. There are a couple houses around but we never saw anyone besides our hosts. The road down is windy and steep. The beach is rugged and the path down is steep. Lots of geckos, iguanas and pelicans. They fly right by the big windows. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, frying pan and a crock pot. Bed is comfy and bathroom is nice. Our host, Helene was very friendly and helpful with tips. Also helped us out in a jam!! We would definitely stay here again!

A retreat in paradise

This is a house with beautiful views from every room, with windows looking out at turquoise water and mountains across every room. It’s the main floor of a house with the owners upstairs but you never hear them and feel like it’s your private slice of paradise. There is a private beach you can easily hike down to. The owners are friendly and share tips about things to do on the island. We wish we were still there, sitting on the deck looking at the stars as the warm breezes wash over us…

Just wonderful

Absolutely lovely place. The pictures do not do it justice. It’s certainly a little challenging to get to at first but then you get used to the steep roads. You have an ocean view everywhere you look in the home. Just stunning. We kept the doors open during the day and night and not once did we need the AC. The breeze was just marvelous. The host Helene was so nice. We relied on her a few times and she always came through. In fact, I had a medical emergency and when we called her in a panic she knew exactly where to direct us. Such a kind person. I can’t wait to stay here again!
