Casa El Molino del Vizconde KM0, Vejer - ideal for 4 people
Silent house in old Arab courtyard in the historical center of Vejer. Converted 20 years ago into a comfortable home on two floors, with bathroom, two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a large terrace overlooking the old town and the lagoon of La Janda, with the largest concentrations of migratory birds in Europe It was an oil mill during the Nasrid reign. The restoration of the property was made with Moroccan wood and clay materials, following the guidelines set by the Department of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía. There are archaeological remains in the courtyard that can be located between the 10th and 11th centuries. In one of the bedrooms there are six earthenware jars inserted in the ground where the oil from this mill was stored.

Un lieu à découvrir mais surtout à respecter et à préserver en terme de nature ou du contact !
Un lieu de paix et de repos mais également un point stratégique pour pouvoir visiter les alentours en peu de temps et d'argent. Très belles randonnées à faire. Belles plages. Découvertes gastronomique. On a envie de se taire et garder ce lieu secret, mais c'est tellement beau ! Merci Vejer, merci le moulin à l'huile un lieu unique, merci pour la gentillesse le professionnalisme la discrétion de l'accueil. A bientôt c'est certain !

Charming little casa in the old town
We had a wonderful week in Casa El Molino. This old property has been carefully renovated and the decor is beautiful. The property is comfortable and perfectly adequately furnished and well situated with easy access to the old part of Vejer. It benefits from being very close to a free carpark! The second bedroom is not enclosed and is in fact part of the sitting room, which is a slight disadvantage if there are 4 people staying. There is an excellent shop close by in Plaza Espana that sells all essentials and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The beautiful Hotel Casa de La Califa is an excellent location for coffee, tea, drinks and fabulous meals. We had glorious weather and spent many enjoyable hours on the beautiful local beaches. We can highly recommend El Palmar.
We experienced a minor plumbing problem on our first day, but the owner, who was in close contact with us throughout, was able to sort it all out very quickly and efficiently.
