BEACHFRONT HOUSE WITH MAGICAL SUNSETS

The magical sunset house is located in a quiet and private location next to the sea on the west coast of Rhodes island. The house was built as an country home for my family on a 4000sq meters plot with flower garden and grape Yard and it is suitable for 2 or 4 people.Between the traditional village of Kalavarda and the ancient city of KAMEIROS it is the perfect base for families and couples . Is ideal for those who seeking absolute privacy next to the sea, away from the busy tourist areas.It is perfect for a comfortable and relaxing holidays with your family.
Perfectly situated on the beach the house offers unlimited sea views and beautiful sunsets
The house has two bedrooms with aircondition, one double bed room and second with two single beds, w.c with shower, living room ,full equipment Kitchen with everything you wil need for self catering, satellite T.V , wireless internet, washing machine and at the exterior of the house there is spacious terrace facing directly the sea offers a view to the deep blue of Aegean sea.
All windows and doors are fitted with mosquito nets
Within a short distance from the house are ::
-Τhe traditional village of Kalavarda with traditional Greek tavernas and mini market for your first shopping
-The town of ancient Kamiros which was one of the three ancient cities of the island. Public buildings, temples and many private residences are saved. At the highest point of the archaeological site is the acropolis of Kamiros
-The mountain of Profitis Ilias with a beautiful forest, the path in the forest is unique. Close to the top dominate hotels “Elafos” and “Elafina”
-The Kamiros Scala port where you can catch the ferry for daily cruise to the island of Halki
-The valley of Butterflies, area of natural beauty
-The traditional village of Empona where you can sample exceptional local wines and foods
If you are a Kite lover you can find an organised Kite center in Kalavarda beach just five minutes driving.
From this location it is very easy to explore also the south and east coast with car

12 days in a paradise

We spent 12 wonderful days in the holiday house. It was perfectly equipped, even better than we experienced in Danish holiday homes! The surroundings are fantastic: Only a few steps to the sea with a sandy beach, and not far to the village of kalavarda with a greek tavern. It was absolutely quiet, away from the usual tourist crowds. The house is a perfect place to explore Rhodes. We can highly recommend the house and hope to come back one day!

Getting away from it all

It was everything we had expected and more. it is so refreshing to see that the description and pictures are so accurate. We had an amazing relaxing holiday in this idylic, tranquil little bit of paradise. Having our own beach was rather lovely. We wanted to get away from it all and that is exactly what we got, Fabulous!. The restaurants locally were very authentic and the staff very friendly. I can't recommend this property highly enough. We enjoyed lying in the hammock on the veranda looking up at the canopy of colourful flowers, shielding us from the sun. We look forward to returning to your very aptly named Magical Sunset beach house.

Fabulous place to stay

We loved this house, very clean, good sized rooms, wonderful terrace with lots of flowers, and a two minute walk to the beach. The welcome basket was VERY welcome! The owner came round several times with gifts of melon and grapes. The nearest taverna is pretty much next door, but you have to drive to the supermarket or mini-market in Soroni. A short drive away is a great taverna, The Sea House. Wonderful at sunset. We often had the beach to ourselves. The water was ridiculously warm, though this is the windier side of the island so the sea was rough at times. We had them to be content with wallowing o the shallows. The only nicer swimming we found was at lovely Stegna- we really recommend you go there. It’s a lovely quiet resort. The Gorgona restaurant there is great, as it comes with excellent food, free parking, sun beds for ten euros and the quietest part of the beach. The taverna at the Seven Springs was great too

A fairly enjoyable experience

We arrived on a Sunday evening and the owner had got provisions for us for the next day which was very kind. The house was spotless-clean. It is a spacious property and has everything you need. It is next to the road and not far from the airport so not as quiet as we thought but quiet enough for Rhodes and the windows are double-glazed so it is fine during the night. The western part of the island gets the wind which means that the sea is choppy most of the time but by the same token you do get spectacular sunsets. The beds in the second bedroom are very squeaky but both bedrooms have good shutters providing proper blacking out and we slept well most of the nights. We have reasons to believe that security of valuables in the property has been compromised because of an incident that has now been reported to the police. The owner dismissed our concerns on the grounds that it had not happened before. All in all, it is a spacious, clean and comfortable property in a beautiful and fairly quiet location. If you don’t mind the choppy sea and keep your valuables with you at all times it can be an enjoyable experience.

Wir waren zu zweit für zwei Wochen im Oktober im "Sonnenuntergangshaus". Die Lage ist traumhaft, wie Andere ja auch schon beschrieben haben. Das Haus ist gräumig und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Ich würde es als "zweckmäßig" bezeichnen. Von der Terrasse, über die sich eine große Bouganvillea erstreckt, hat man einen unvergesslichen Blick aufs Meer.Das Haus liegt ca. 50 m vom Meer entfernt und wir hatten den Sand/Kiesstrand für uns alleine, es kommt auch niemand vorbei. Es gibt zwar ein direkte Nachbargebäude, dort ist aber fast nie jemand und diese beiden Gebäude sind die einzigen am Ende eines landwirtschaftlichen Weges. Dass das Haus unterhalb einer Straße steht und sich in der Flugschneise des 20 km entfernten Flughafens befindet, stört kaum, da beides nicht stark frequentiert ist und immerhin sind wir ja auch mit Flugzeug und Auto angereist.Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und kümmern sich umgehend, wenn das nötig ist.In Kalavarda gibt es nur einen ganz kleinen Laden am Dorfplatz, ohne Obst oder Gemüse, einen Supermarkt gibt es nicht. Im nächsten Ort Richtung Rhodos gibt es auf der rechten Seite einen "Green Grocer", der zu empfehlen ist und etwas weiter, auch auf der rechten Seite, den Supermarkt "Bazaar", der alles hat, was man braucht. Der EASD-Supermarkt kurz hinter Fanes auf der linken Seite ist nicht zu empfehlen.Direkt vom Haus aus kann man schöne  Wanderungen durch die Hügel machen. Alles in Allem: Klare Empfehlung.

Super! Schönes Haus mit Meerblick und "eigenem" Strand. Tavernen und Strände mit Liegen und Schirmen um die Ecke, wenige Meter über den Strand zu Fuß zu erreichen. Nicht unwichtig bei der Hitze, sehr gute Klimaanlagen im Haus.

Ein wunderschöner erholsamer Urlaub

Das Sonnenunterganghaus ist der perfekte Ort, um einen ruhigen, erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen. Die Lage ist grandios. Gleich nach dem Aufwachen eine Runde im Meer schwimmen. Gute Tavernen einen Katzensprung entfernt. Kulturelle Aktivitäten in der Nähe. Die Betreuung vor Ort optimal. Sehr nette Vermieter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wunderschön ist das Ferienhaus. Ruhe und Spaß beim Baden, da es bis zum Wasser nur ein kleiner Weg von 60 Metern von Haus entfernt ist.Badeschuhe empfehle ich. Man ist alleine am Strand. Ein Stück weiter sind zwei Restaurants mit guten Essen. Vermieter sehr nett und schnell erreichbar. Alles war super.

Sehr schönes Haus am Strand

Wir hatten einen schönen Spätsommer an einem absolut ruhigen Strand, ganz für uns allein. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Haus ist sauber, zweckmäßig und typisch griechisch. Die Ruhe, die abgelegene Lage und die Nähe zum Meer machten den Aufenthalt in der Nebensaison unvergesslich.

Weg vom Urlaubstrubel

Hervorragende Lage , sehr nette Vermieter, zum Abendessen kann man zu Fuß gehen, Westküste ( dass dort sehr oft der Wind weht ist bekannt) nicht überlaufen. Saubere, gepflegte Unterkunft.

Ein Häuschen im Paradis

Das Haus hat eine ruhige Lage und liegt nur ca, 50 m vom Sand-Kiesstrand entfernt. Es ist sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Alle Türen und Fenster sind mit Fliegengittern versehen, und das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Vor dem Haus gibt es einen überdachten Eßplatz und davor eine große Terrasse mit Hängematte und Liegen unter einer wunderschönen bewachsenen Pagode. Nebelndem Haus gibt es eine Außendusche ä, hinter dem Haus einen schattigen mit Wein bewachsenen Stellplatz fürs Auto, eine Wäscheleine und einen Grill. Die Vermiteter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Panogiotis kommt 2x in der Woche vorbei und gießt die Blumen und bringt jedesmal sehr leckeres Obst mit😋. Das Haus verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und zwei Einzubetten, einem Bad mit Dusche (sehr guter Wasserdruck!!!) und einem großen Küchen-/Wohnbereich mit einem kleinen Eßtisch. Die Küche ist mit Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Toaster und sogar einer Waschmaschine ausgestattet. Mit der restlichen Ausstattung kommt man sehr gut zurecht, wir haben nicht wirklich was vermisst. Für den Strandbesuch darf man die Liegen vom Haus mitnehmen. Am Strand selber gibt es ein paar Bäume, die etwas Schatten spenden. Für empfindliche Füße sind Badeschuhe aber ratsam, wenn man auf Kies nicht so gut laufen kann. Ansonsten hat man hier wirklich seine Ruhe, den Strand hat man so gut wie für sich allein, vereinzelt verirren sich mal Touris ans Haus, die dann aber sehr schnell merken, dass sie hier falsch sind 😄. Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen und können das Haus jedem empfehlen, der Griechenland liebt und aus dem Alltagsstress aufsteigen will und entschleunigen will. wundervoller Aufenthalt in kleinem Paradies

Wir können dieses Ferienhaus sehr empfehlen! Vor allem denjenigen, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen. Das Ferienhaus ist bestens ausgestattet und die Sicht von der Terrasse aufs Meer atemberaubend. Zum Glück sind es nur ein paar Schritte zum Meer und wir können uns anderen Bewertungen nur anschließen: Wir haben unseren "Privatstrand" sehr genossen! Zwei Restaurants befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe (100 und 150m), was sehr praktisch war. Ich möchte, was die vorherigen positiven Bewertungen dieses Hauses und den Kontakt zum Vermieter betrifft nicht auch noch einmal wiederholen: Es stimmt zu 100% mit unseren Erfahrungen überein: Also volle Empfehlung und vielen Dank, dass wir 2 so schöne Wochen in diesem Haus erleben durften! Es war ein kleines Paradies auf Erden!

Wunderbares Haus abseits des Massentourismus

Sehr schönes Haus am offenen Strand (Kiesel u. Sand, zumindest im August oft mit Wellen und Wind); einsam, doch verkehrsgünstig gelegen; mehrere Tavernen und das antike Kamiros zu Fuß erreichbar; sehr freundliche und fürsorgliche Vermieter.

Ein Traum

Wir waren 2Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Es war alles genau so schön wie auf den Bildern und noch viel viel schöner. Der Vermieter hat uns mit einem Korb mit Wein, essen, Kaffee usw. begrüßt, so das wir nicht sofort einkaufen mussten. Es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt, sogar Duschgel , Spülmittel, Waschmaschinentaps usw. waren vorhanden. Alle paar Tage kam er zum gießen und hatte immer eine leckere Melone o.ä. dabei. Die Nähe zum Sandstrand (50m) ist unbezahlbar und wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Am Morgen mit einem Kaffee am Strand oder am Abend mit einem Cocktail den traumhafter Sonnenuntergang genießen... herrlich. Abseits vom Massentourismus konnten wir den Alltag komplett hinter uns lassen. Ca. 200m weiter gab es ein tolles Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Fisch . Auch Liegen konnte man wenn man wollte kostenlos benutzen. Wir haben , wenn es hochkommt in der ganzen Zeit , 20Menschen an „unserem Privatstrand“ gesehen, wir waren also immer für uns. Der leichte Wind war sehr sehr angenehm. Es war nie zu heiss oder zu kalt . Wir waren einen Tag mal an der Ostküste, es war viel zu warm und wir waren froh, wieder an „unserem“ Strand zu sein. Wir können dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen und kommen ganz sicher wieder.
