Hector Cave House Oia Santorini

Hector Cave House, carved into the unique caldera cliff for more than 250 years, was originally used as a wine cellar.Then It became a family owned house, which then opened its doors to share its unique character to travelers from around the world.

Since 2016 two more cave houses have been renovated on top of the Hector Cave house.

THE HECTOR CAVE HOUSE

Indoor

Hector Cave house (60 square meters) can host 2-5 people, ideal for one couple or a company of 2-5 friends. The house includes one bedroom, two bathrooms and a living room area. The bedroom has one built-in King size bed LOCATED ON THE LOFT and one single sofa bed 200 cm x 80 cm. In the living room area there are two built in single sofa beds. The kitchen is equipped with all the facilities for self catering holidays, including microwave, refrigerator, electric hot plates, toaster, electric kettle and an espresso machine.

Outdoor

The private veranda offers a private space for relaxing, dinning, or even sunbathing, having as a background the most breathtaking views of Santorini: the Volcano, the caldera cliff and Thirassia Island.
Outdoor non heated Jacuzzi for two is also available from APRIL 1-NOVEMBER 1

Hector Cave house was a amzing! Faye and Demtri were great hosts, They will arrange transportaion and meet you at the meeting point and Demetri will carry your bags all the way to the apartment. The apartment is in an AMAZING loction. Steps from the stairs to Amoudi Bay and all the shopping and restaurants. The pool was great to cool off and to sit on the balcony after a long day. The shower in the main bathroom had great water pressure and the bed was very comforatble. I highly reccomend Hector Cave house for a stay in Santorini!

Wrong booking

On the date checking in. House keeper will tell you not to do this, not to do that. For example, do not splash water from swimming pool… I guess she doesn’t want to clean it. would complain you delay her routine….( we waited for a while to get the taxi they arrange for us). she will makes you feel you have done so many bad things to her…..miserable house keeper. Horrible experience for the money we paid.

The most beautiful place in the world to stay. I truly enjoyed staying at Hector Cave House. It has left a very memorable experience to my visit and I can’t wait to return. Hector House gave us the best experience while staying in Santorini. The location can’t be beat in Oia! The house was stunning and very clean with great amenities! The hosts were amazing with communication and helped with anything and everything! I would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful stay in perfect location!

We had a wonderful stay in Oia, and such a perfect location in the middle of the pedestrian walking area of the village. Fantastic views from the patio to enjoy every evening. Owners and Dana and Dimitri were a great help in all aspects, and in meeting us for arrival and departure. Definitely recommend this home.

Best stay, location location location!

We had a great time at Hector’s place. The communication was super easy with Anastasia and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighborhood is very conveniently located and although it’s a lively neighborhood the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Amazing Place!

I can't say enough good things about Hector Cave House. You're located in the heart of downtown Oia, within walking distance of everything the neighborhood has to offer. Giannis was a great host and very proactive with providing information and taking care of our needs. The pool is amazing. It's hard to describe how beautiful looking out over the Mediterranean in your private pool can be. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking in Santorini.

Spectacular!

Giannis (girlfriend too), Dana and her husband were the friendliest and most accommodating people your could ever imagine! Best service ever! Location was perfect with amazing caldera views. My hard to impress husband's words when we arrived were "WOW-nice job"! Happy hour on the deck every night and easy walk to restaurants and shops. Thank you for a memorable stay! Jodi and Bryan

Our stay in this beautiful home went far beyond our expectations. It was the first time that a rental property was even more beautiful than the advertisement photos. This typical cave house has been painstakingly renovated with great attention to detail. You will find all the comforts of home combined with all the amenities you'd expect in a five-star hotel. The kitchen is well equipped including a Nespresso machine. The owner Giannis is welcoming and attentive making sure that guests are comfortable and satisfied. The house is impeccably clean and the plunge -pool type spa on the terrasse will help keep you cool while enjoying the extrairdinary view over the caldera. Despite the touristy bustle of Ia you are far from the madding crowd in this tranquil nest perched high above the sea. I highly recommend this property.

I am Giannis, 36 years old and I grew up in Athens.
After studying and working abroad (UK and Switzerland) for 5 years,I decided to come back in Greece and work for a family business.

In 1998 my parents visited Santorini Island and they fell in love with Oia village where they bought that picturesque cave house…
Since then all about my summer vacations is to lay back at that terrace and admire the spectacular view.

Traveling is to share…
There is no better way of doing this, other than sharing the experience with other travelers.

Of course I will not lose any chance to discover unique destinations like Santorini around the world…
