Enchanted Forest Estate ~ Large Riverfront Property, Great for Groups!

The Enchanted Forest property features two 4 bedroom, 4 bath homes situated on three acres of riverfront property. The two spacious homes, Contente and Culture Blend, offer sleeping accommodations for 28 people. Each home features a 3 bedroom main house, a separate 1 bedroom suite, 2 kitchens, a recreation room and a spa. The main living spaces offer high ceilings, hardwood floors and a large open living/dining room. The fully equipped kitchens come complete with new appliances and breakfast areas. Many of the rooms, including both living rooms and 6 of the 8 bedrooms, feature glass doors leading out to large decks facing the river with outdoor dining and gas grills.

Both homes offer large garages with recreation rooms. Culture Blend has a pool table, ping pong, foosball, air hockey and video games. Off the patio is a spa with a gazebo. Contente has a pool table, ping pong table and a spa on the patio above the yard.

Enjoy excellent access to the Russian River from this riverfront property. Fishing, swimming and boating opportunities await just a short walk away. To access, walk down the custom rock stairway and across the tree-filled lawn to the short path leading to a large river beach. During the summer months, 2 boats are included (1 canoe and 1 kayak).

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Enchanted Forest Estate is 28. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 8 vehicles. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Rec/Game Rooms: The game rooms are uninsulated spaces without central heating. There is a portable electric heater in the game rooms.

A/C: The houses do not have air conditioning. Being near the coast, the night time temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house.

Location: The Enchanted Forest Estate is located approximately 1.5 miles east of downtown Guerneville on River Road, a busy two-lane road that connects Guerneville to Highway 101. Due to double wall construction, there is very little road noise inside the home, as well as on the back deck and lower lawn area.The driveway and front staircase face the road. All outdoor living areas are shielded from the road by the home, natural surroundings and a 10-foot high privacy fence (at the front of the property only). The neighborhood is a mix of residential and commercial. Neighbors include full-time residents, a local pub, a deli, a self-serve carwash and a gas station/mini mart. Be aware that though there is a visual privacy, the carwash can be heard when in use and noise from the pub may be heard. We have had very few mentions from guests about either of these establishements. Please contact our office if you have any questions about the proximity of the road or any other questions about the property. Members of our staff have stayed at this property and loved it!

Additional Amenities: Both homes provide televisions in the bedrooms and living rooms. Recreation room items: foosball, pool table, air hockey, ping pong, arcade basketball, karaoke and video games.

Please note that there is an annual event, the Russian River Beer Revival, that happens around the third weekend in August. This is a weekend event at the brewery immediately next door to Culture Blend. The event has live music, a BBQ cook-off, and a lot of people drinking beer. It will be loud on the Friday and Saturday of the event. The exact dates of the event will be listed on the Stumptown Brewery's website.

Great family compound

We had a family reunion at the Enchanted Forest Estate, and it worked beautifully. Everyone loved the playrooms. The teens slept down there to have their own clubhouse. Each open concept kitchen/living room/dining room was large enough to accommodate our whole group, yet there were plenty of spaces for people to get away for quiet time. Everyone had a bed or sofa bed for sleeping that was comfortable, and there were plenty of bathrooms. It’s a great property for a group gathering.

Family reunion

This property offered enough space for 24 of us to gather for a great meals in a comforably large room. It also had enough space for each of us to find a quiet room to escape from the crowd. The Massive game rooms were great for kids of all ages, the hot tubs a comfort after the competition! There were enough tv's, stereos, dishes and games. Winter offerings of hiking, beach combing, wine tasting, shopping and beer pong were all within a short drive. The location on the river is great, we'll be back for summer.

Celebration of life for Mom and Dad

We had a wonderful time here with three generations of family to celebrate the life of our Mom and Dad. The accommodations were perfect for an extended family. There were plenty of things for everybody to do, the pool tables, ping-pong, air hockey, hot tubs, large dining table, . This is not your average Vrbo, it is so well stocked for large groups that you don’t really need to bring any of your own from home. I would recommend this for any large group or family that wants to all get together and have a great time. We came in April, so the river was running to swift for us to use any of the summer activity items, kayaks, paddle boards, rafts., Lifejackets, etc, The place is stocked with everything you would ever need to have a fabulous week, weekend, or 2 day getaway

Great vacation home

Our stay at was wonderful! The property was spotless, beautifully furnished, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, plenty of furniture, kitchen had all the utensils and pans, bathrooms are great with enough towels, soap and shampoo. We didn't like the some of the sofa and chairs as the cushions were nearly gone and it felt like sitting on a rock. The suite bedroom in each of these 2 properties are actually separate like in law unit and not part of the main house which was something we didn't anticipate. Backyard was good running down to Russian river but with the off-season we didn't use it that much. Both the houses had lot of games, pool tables, table tennis as shown in the pictures. TV's were LED's and not the older Tube TVs which is what is shown in the pictures. The host was attentive and responsive, keys and other information was very well laid out and provided. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again!

The property was well equipped with plenty of "toys" (pool table, kayaks, ping-pong, hot tubs) for large family groups. Unfortunately, it was not well maintained. The several of the inner tubes had holes which weren't discovered until inflated. A pump for all the inflatables would also be helpful. The TV in the main Culture Blend room did not permit logging in to our personal Netflix or Hulu account NOR could you mirror a device through AirPlay (standard now in most VRBOs). The TV in the Calente basement did work OK for streaming. Also, the car wash next door was pretty noisy.

Awesome house on Russian River for reunion

We rented the two houses for a reunion weekend of 6 families (12 adults and 11 kids between the ages of 1 and 10). We all had a blast. There were plenty of space for all of us to sleep with multiple en-suite bathrooms that are convenient and provided privacy. We utilized the kitchen for both houses to cook our meals, as well as both grills on the deck, and ate in either dining rooms or on the deck. One day we did an oyster run to Hog Island and brought back oysters to eat raw and grill, YUM! It's only about a 40 min drive away. Some adults also went out wine tasting near by. The TV and sitting areas are nice with big sofas for the kids. The game rooms in the garage are great for slightly older kids and adults. There are plenty of outdoor space including the deck and back yard leading to the river. The appliances are clean, updated, and functional. The location is super convenient if you are driving up from San Francisco. Russian River is a beautiful and playing on the bank of the river was fun for the kids. I would highly recommend this place if you have a large gathering of families.

Reunion worked well here

Our group of 11 stayed in the two houses for a weeklong reunion. It met our primary criterion of having 6 bedrooms with 6 full baths, which is not easy to find. We appreciated the long tables, both inside and on the deck, where we could all dine together. The common rooms had enough space and seating for us to visit and share music together. The kitchens were roomy and well-supplied, and the facilities were clean. The attached garages for indoor parking were a plus. The backyard, which abuts the river, was lovely, although steps to the river were absent due to prior floods. There are many nice amenities like air hockey, ping pong, hot tub, boats, etc which we didn’t use, but which are a plus for many people.There were some negatives. It is right on River Road, so those with bedrooms facing the front had to contend with traffic noise. Noise from the car wash next door was sometimes annoying when we were visiting on the back deck. There were several maintenance issues, including faulty and insufficient kitchen lighting in one unit, and leaky bathroom fixtures. We reported the issues to the owners, and they were very appreciative of the feedback, and I expect them to be addressed. One other problem was two different foul-ups with the key codes for the front doors that we had to sort out with them. But despite these annoyances, overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Lots of space!

Our reservation mentioned that there were two units, and we thought they meant a main house plus the suite that it was attached to. The reservation actually included TWO complete houses each with main space and suite. Sleeping space was abundant and the four kitchens were super handy when cooking for the group. Hot tub, grill, and several pool tables provided plenty of entertainment when my friends returned from their activities in the area. Great value overall.

Perfect rental for you and your 27 closest friends

I rented the Estate for my birthday april 19-21 and had 24-28 people up over the course of the weekend, and I could not be happier with my choice. The houses are quite spacious, with well appointed rooms and comfortable couches so all my guests slept well. The kitchens and common rooms are set up for large meals, and all 28 gathered for a buffet dinner in Contente with room to spare. The game rooms are the best. Everyone at the party had a blast playing ping pong, pool, air hockey, and arcade basketball. I loved walking people through the property as they arrived, as everyone was astounded by the variety of entertainments and how nice everything was. Yet, the grounds are what made this rental shine. The back deck area was a great site for my friends to gather around the grill and keg, and people loved napping on the secluded, shady lawn during the day. The private beach access is great, and when we were there, we basically had the whole segment to ourselves. My boyfriend even caught a steelhead just fishing from the beach on our second evening there. Amazing! Many of my friends said that weekend was the best birthday party they'd ever been to, and I know it is in large part because of all the wonderful features of this rental. I would love to rent this property again (after I save up for another decade)! The communication from Russian River Vacation Homes was also top notch with every email responded to within the day. Their reps are friendly and honest, and the transaction could not have been smoother.

Tons of rooms, tons of fun

Booking this "Estate" (Combination of two homes that are side by side) was the best thing we could have done in this region. There are many rooms and plenty of privacy for couples and guests that may want to stay up later than others, etc. Each home includes an awesome space in the basement for playing billiards, table tennis and other games. We had a great time!

In 1980, D&G founders and owners Michael and Patty saw a need in the area for habitable, affordable housing. At that time, many of the little cabins along the Russian River, originally built as summer cabins, were unsuitable for year-round occupancy. D&G assisted property owners with fixing up and renting their cabins. As the largest property management company in western Sonoma County, D&G Equity Management continues to be a staple in the Russian River community.

Russian River Vacation Homes is an off-shoot of D&G. One fine day in 1985, Michael's client, Bob, asked "Hey Mike, can you rent my cabin out just for the week or weekend instead of by the month?" Michael said "Sure!" and Russian River Vacation Homes was born. As renting vacation rentals became more popular, Russian River Vacation Homes grew into a full-time business with its own office. Today, Russian River Vacation Homes professionally manages over 60 high-quality vacation rentals.
