The house is just in the Perigord Pourpre (purple the color of the wine) and on the edge of a small "hamlet" called Lentignac which is part of the municipality of Sainte Alvère.

The more well-known places in the area are Le Bugue, Sarlat, Perigueux and Bergerac.

Transavia flies from Amsterdam almost all year in Bergerac at very attractive prices. A car you can also rent it for 200 euros per week.

The house is quiet but not isolated, but in the immediate vicinity is a lot to do, such as visiting caves like gouffre the Proumeyssac, gouffre the Lascaux and gouffre the Rouffignac, or chateaus, such as Castelnaud, Beynac and Milandes (Josephine Baker) .
