About this property
Seaside Bungalow Eleni, Eretria Evia Greece
Beautiful bungalow 50 meters from the beach, in luscious 500sqm green garden with olive, pine, fig and vine trees, a traditional ΄perivoli΄/seasonal veg garden, 1 bedroom, 1 living room with sofa/2 beds, 1 bathroom and a patio shaded by 50yr old cypress tree.
Bungalow ‘Eleni’ comprises of 2 double rooms – one picturesque bedroom with two single beds or one double (your choice) and a living room with a sofa (which can convert to two single beds) – an open plan kitchen and bathroom. It is equipped with a 32’’ TV, DVD and stereo system, air conditioning and two fans. The open plan kitchenette is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, cooking stove and Espresso machine, toaster and cutlery/dishes/glasses. There is also a small sitting area by the window and a book collection in French, English and Greek which includes anything from children’s books to classic literature.
Outside the bungalow there is a large patio with a garden table and chairs, where instead of an umbrella, a stunning 50-year old cypress tree will provide you with all the shade you need. Alternatively you can sunbathe on the lawn covering the garden for as long as your heart desires. The colorful oleanders that surround the garden are more than 3.5 metres high and offer you full privacy. The 500sq.m. garden is full of olive, fig, banana and pine trees, while a traditional Greek ‘perivoli’, a seasonal veg and plants grow area (tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, courgettes, onions, oregano, basil, parsley among others) with a small vineyard, sits within it. A traditionally colorful, discrete and very relaxing environment to immerse yourselves in the spirit of the area and discover the way the locals or the few Athenians who are lucky enough to own a summerhouse in this beautiful area enjoy their summers. Dive in the blue sea and/or bake in the sun to soak up on that vitamin D. Younger guests could play out in the garden and on the swings available, exploring local flaura and fona and breathe in the pure seaside air. When in need of a refreshing swim, the beach is only 50 meters away from the bungalow. A 2 minute walk will take you straight to the beach to enjoy crystal blue waters and swim your heart out, enjoying a view of a couple islands recently put on sale, in case you were looking for a summer investment!
Guests will have use of the 500sqm garden where they can sit in the patio and enjoy their breakfast, lunch or dinner under the natural shade of our dear old cypress tree, relax, meditate, read or confer with themselves on the numerous hammocks under the pine trees, while also being a blink of an eye's walk from the beach at all times. A swim will never be too far away.

Why they chose this property
Bungalow Eleni is part of a family summer house decorated with items collected over the years. Eretria is the place I have been lucky enough to call my summer home, where I have grown up and have also seen my family grow, is a place where fun and relaxation are in complete harmony and is a part of a greater area – Evia – with historical and archaeological importance.
What makes this property unique
Its proximity to the beach, the picturesque landscape throughout Evia Island and its important role throughout Greece’s history are just a few reasons to visit Eretria.
