What a Haven - back again !

This was our second visit to Thimios and Maria's house. It has a lovely homely cared for feel and very relaxing place to stay. Thimios and Maria are great hosts and would definitely recommend this holiday rental

Lovely house!

Absolutely loved the house and the location. Very quiet and peaceful. Quick and easy walk to the beach. The hosts are very friendly and were quick to respond to all of our messages. We had a great time in Eretria.

Very Relaxing

The house and garden have a lovely relaxing feel about them Thimios and Maria kindly left us a light meal on our arrival and some goodies of homemade marmalade, olive oil ,Olives and wine. Nothing was any problem for them, a lovely couple. Coming back next year !!

Wonderful Time

Our hostes Maria and Thimios received us with great hospitality. The house is situated between Eretria and Chalkidia and due to that ideal for excursions. The house itself is furnished very tasteful and with love. We felt familiar and welcome. The equipment is very good, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is nice. Fantastic!

We enjoyed the stay in the house a lot. Bakery, restaurant and beach bar within walking distance. The beach is small pebbles with some free umbrellas and people there are mainly Greek, so it is peaceful and calm. Some great restaurants within few kms and some fantastic beaches for day trips if you want to explore The house is big and spacious and well equipped. Thimios and Maria are fantastic hosts, they welcomed us with dinner and a bottle of wine. We thoroughly recommend the villa and the Evia island. We hope we can come again.

Excellent choice

We have been in the house 4 weeks in August 2019. The house is large and confortable, very well equipped, and quiet. Countryside style with a flock of sheeps as neighbour and cicadas as soundtrack, but at walking distance from an equipped beach including beach bar. Good position also for tourism, 75 min from centre Athens by car, 2hrs to Delphi, in addition to Evia destinations. Excellent hospitality, warm welcome despite large delay (we arrived at about 3 am due to ferry lateness) with homemade dinner. An excellent choice, for us.

Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schon der Empfang, um Mitternacht!, war sehr herzlich. Sogar für die 1. Verpflegung (Obst, Gemüse, Milch, …) war gesorgt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, auch Gewürze, Nudeln… sind da. Ansonsten ist alles so, wie beschrieben. Wir haben die Zeit in dem sehr liebevoll eingerichteten Haus sehr genossen.

Très agréable séjour au bord de la mer

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Thimios et Maria, qui est très joliment décorée, bien équipée et située idéalement. Rien ne manque. Les pièces à l'intérieur sont toute équipée de ventilateurs, ce qui permet de maintenir le frais malgré la chaleur estivale. Nous y étions en pleine canicule... La maison est entourée d'un charmant verger d'oliviers qui préserve l'intimité et qui permet des siestes dans les hamacs, ou des douches en plein air quand il fait chaud. Nos hôtes ont été charmants, très disponibles et très soucieux de notre confort. Nous les remercions encore pour l'excellente salade grecque et la bouteille de vin à notre arrivée. Pour les achats quotidiens, il y une boulangerie et un marchand de fruits à quelques centaines de mètres de la maison. Le supermarché est à Eretria même (env. 5 km.), avec un étal de boucherie et un stand de fromage. La plage n'est pas loin à pied. On y trouve des chaises longues et des parasols à disposition du public pour autant qu'on commande une boisson au restaurant voisin. C'est très pratique. La plage est peu fréquentée, essentiellement par des Grecs et nous y étions en plein mois de juillet.

Empfehlenswert!

Besonders gut haben uns der weitläufige schattige Garten gefallen. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und hat alles was man braucht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich mit frischem Obst und Gemüse und einer selbst gekochten Mahlzeit begrüßt.

fabulous hide away

We had a great time staying at Maria's and Thimios' place. The island is the perfect spot to get away and relax. We stayed at the place with our 2 boys who enjoyed the space of the house and garden so much. the beach is so close by which is perfectly comortable just taking a quick dip if you need it. The house is really cozy and Thimios and Maria made our stay just perfect. They were really nice hosts and we'd love to come back one day. Thanks again for having us!

Un vrai havre de paix sur l'ile d'Eubée

Maison très agréable, bien équipée. Mais nous avons surtout profité de la terrasse et du jardin avec les oliviers. Très calme malgré les maisons autour. Juste à côté de la plage avec très peu de monde. Thimios et Maria sont adorables. Nous les remercions de toutes leurs attentions. De belles vacances reposantes. Proche, malgré tout, des grandes villes. Je recommande vraiment cette maison et vous souhaite de un bon séjour dans cette maison.

Plus d'une trentaine d'oliviers, beaux arbres de paix et de sérénité mais aussi d'autres remarquables arbres et rosiers... Maison des plus confortables et des mieux équipés. Accueil exceptionnel de Maria et Thimios, personnes des plus agréables, de conversation sympathique et conviviale de fort bon aloi, intellectuels cool, amateurs éclectiques de bonne musique et grands jardiniers: Pur bonheur! Ajoutons bien sûr ce ciel azuréen et cette mer pure, ce musée d'Eretria remarquable, ces producteurs de vins souvent naturels très doués!

Sehr empfehlenswertes Haus

Es war ein erholsamer Aufenthalt in diesem Haus. Die Lage ist ruhig und doch zentral. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Bedanken möchte ich mich die Hinweise des Hausherren zu den Ausflugszielen, sie waren sehr hilfreich. Ein sehr entspannder Urlaub.

Une maison parfaite pour un séjour reposant et permettant beaucoup d'excursions

La maison de Thimios et Maria est très bien équipée, dans un environnement très calme et tout proche de la plage. Sa situation permet de multiples excursions : Athènes, Delphes, Corinthe ne sont qu'à quelques heures de route. L'île d'Eubee en elle-même est pleine de petites criques très agréables pour profiter de la mer. En somme, un excellent séjour !

Wonderful house, place of desire

Dream vacation

Thimios and Maria's house and their hospitality have made this holiday the best one ever. We were greeted on our arrival with such hospitality, that we immediately felt at home, even after our long journey. The house is situated in a quiet residential area, very close to the beach, as described in the ad. The whole space is wonderfully designed, with large patio area in the shade and a magnificent olive garden with different vegetables and herbs you can pick and eat fresh. There are different corners of the garden where you can sit and enjoy the fresh breeze, and even a shower in the open. We were two families with children, but we never felt crowded in the house. The rooms are spacious and Thimios and Maria have even given us a beautiful baby cot. The kitchen is honestly more equipped than the one we have at home, there is nothing that you will miss. The open-space kitchen-living room area is filled with such beautiful details and art pieces together with an impressive collection of music that made the days and the evenings so enjoyable. There is a bike that you can use to go to the beach, or to the nearby bakery or the fresh produce shop. The beach is not crowded and is frequented by locals. For the price of a drink you can use the sunbeds and the umbrellas for free. All of this has made us stay most of the time at the house, although it is situated in the part of the island close to the main town Chalkida (well worth the visit) and other parts of the island. Our hosts have given us plenty of advice and maps for interesting places we could see. So thank you again Maria and Thimios, we hope to return soon, we absolutely recommend your house to everyone!

Bellissima casa nell'ambiente incantevole

Il soggiorno a Eretria è stato estremamente piacevole. La casa (6449041) di Maria e Thimios, villa Timaria, e'indipendente, pulita e in buon stato e si trova in un posto bello, pacifico e silenzioso a soli 250 metri dal mare, esattamente come e' indicato. La casa e' accogliente e fornita con tutte le neccesita' per un soggiorno perfetto e molto piacevole. L'abitazione e' molto prattica, libera dai molti mobili, ma comunque addatta ad ospitare la gente. Tuttavia, il piu' importante e' lo stupendo giardino con le olive e orto biologico con i pomodorini, peperoncini e le piu' profumate erbe aromatiche. Poi c'e' un portico molto confortevole dove si comincia la giornata godendo il canto degli ucelli e i grilli e che amplifica la percezione dello spazio e del paesaggio. La casa è fornita di ogni confort e assolutamente adatta per una famiglia grande, anche con cane. Siamo stati accolti sia all'arrivo che alla fine del soggiorno dai gentilissimi Maria e Thimios che ci anno fato sentire come a casa nostra. Insomma consiglio assolutamente questa casa e ringrazio per la bella vacanza che ci e' stata organizzata dai carissimi e simpaticissimi proprietari. Grazie, cari Maria e Thimios e tante belle cose.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour sur l'île d'Eubée grâce à l'accueil de Maria et Thimios et à la mise à disposition de leur charmante maison. Nous sommes immédiatement tombés sous le charme... Les pièces agréables et lumineuses, une propreté impeccable, une déco nature, chaleureuse et personnelle, un grand jardin avec des tables, des fauteuils, des hamacs, le barbecue... Tout, pour profiter pleinement de l'extérieur comme de l'intérieur. Enfin, tout proche de la mer, d'une boulangerie très achalandée et d'un petit producteur de légumes...Le rêve ! j'aimerais vraiment faire découvrir ce petit coin de paradis à mes parents, mon frère et ma belle sœur car je suis sûre, que comme nous, ils passeraient de superbes vacances, apprécieraient l'immense gentillesse de nos hôtes...Qui ont absolument tout fait pour rendre ce séjour chez eux, juste parfait ! Qui sait ? Peut être pourrons nous y retourner ? J'attends la visite de Maria et Thimios chez nous dans le jura...

Une maison tres agreable

La maison de Timios et Maria est tres vaste, tres propre , beneficiant d'un jardin typiquement grec(sous les oliviers) et aussi tres calme. L'accueil excessivement chaleureux des proprietaires fait qu'on se sent vraiment chez soi, comme si des amis vous pretaient leur maison de vacances; Il doit etre tres agreable d'y sejourner entre amis ou en famille et d'utiliser le vaste barbecue. Nous n'etions que 2 et avions surtout envie de nous reposer. Si vous n'hesitez pas a prendre la route ,,la visite d'Athenes et du sanctuaire de Delphes peuvent faire l'objet de 2 excursions. La ville d'Eretria toute proche ne peut certes pas etre comparée aux ports des iles mais elle offre tous les les approvisionnements possibles: restaurants, cafés, commerces, supermarches et meme pharmacies; Commerçants tres accueillants dont certains parlent français; Timios nous a d'ailleurs gentiment laissé des cartes detaillées de l'ile en nous expliquant les endroits pittoresques; Bref un excellent séjour;
