Beautiful house with garden and private pool in Cantabria

The house has 3 rooms and areas to watch TV, play or work. This beautifully decorated and with many details that make it very pleasant.
The living room has a fireplace to make your stay more comfortable. The heating is underfloor, which makes it very pleasant in winter.
It has a magnificent porch to enjoy pleasant gatherings or devote to reading.
In the Garden we have mounted a net to play volleyball or badminton.
The area is very quiet and ideal for taking a few days of rest and relaxation, with roads can stroll and enjoy the countryside.
They are spas and Lierganes and Solares Spa Villas Pasiegas in Hoznayo nearby.
This is 15 minutes from the beaches of Somo, Loredo and Langre where you can surf.
At the same distance is the golf Pedreña, home of Severiano Ballesteros and also the nature park Cabarceno.
For around the house there are fantastic walking paths and near a riding center and paddle tennis.

The house and kitchen are very well equipped and fulfilled our needs. The bed was comfortable, the terrace and patio areas are very pretty and relaxing after travelling around Cantabria. The pool is smallish, but only an issue if you want to swim laps! Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

We had a terrific week in Gonzalo & Ana's villa. It had everything we needed, plus a excellent pool in the garden. Gonzalo & Ana were very welcoming when they met us and the property was very clean and well equipped. It's a great base for exploring the Northern coast of Spain. We went to Bilbao, Burgos and Haro during our visit, each providing a different experience of Northern Spain and its culture. Thank you so much Gonzalo & Ana.

Best holiday ever!

We had such a great holiday here and were sad to leave. We booked 18 months ago and eagerly counted them down and the house didn't disappoint in the slightest. The communication with the hosts was excellent (thanks for accommodating our lack of Spanish!) and the house had everything we could imagine to make it a home away from home, with all the utensils and equipment we needed to cater for a week-long family holiday. The region is beautiful and perfectly set between mountains and beaches, with loads to see and do for all ages. It's the only rental accommodation we've been to that we can genuinely say we'd come back to (I just wish it could be with a cheque book!). Thank you all so much for your hospitality and memories of your lovely house and holiday!

Summer 2019

Great welcome from Gonzalo and Ana, everything was explained perfectly. There was only the two of us but the house can easily accommodate two families of 4, there is bags of room. Lots of little extras around the house that you normally expect, like access to Gonzalo's vegetable plot where we were free to pick our own lettuces etc. and; the huge cake as a welcome gift. The garden is lovely and really well kept, loads of games including lawn badminton. The pool was very welcome after long hot days exploring, a nice size and temperature. There is a load of information in the house to help you explore the surrounding area, in both English and Spanish.

Fantastic villa in a fabulous location

The villa is clean, spacious and airy. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. The quiet away from it all location was just perfect but civilisation is just a short journey away! To sit in the tranquil garden in the evening watching birds of prey circling overhead was absolute bliss. The pool was spotlessly clean but a bit chilly,.....early in the season. We enjoyed fresh bread delivered to the door and eggs from the neighbours. The local cake left as a welcome gift was truly delicious. My only criticism as a tea loving English person....there was no kettle! A small price to pay for such a wonderful place. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a get away from it all holiday.

Fabulous house

Beautiful house in quiet neighbourhood, with easy access to Santander, lots of amazing beaches etc and only an hour to Bilbao. We enjoyed the Hunters Tavern in eating dinner at Entrambasaguas (they were very accomodating with our poor Spanish) & having coffee on the terrace in the many nearby cafes. The kids enjoyed the basketball court just a few minutes away. House is very comfortable, well equipped and is tastefully decorated. We particularly enjoyed the courgettes in the veg patch and the peach tree, the fresh baguettes delivered each day and the neighbours eggs & potatoes - all making for a great holiday. Pool is well maintained and we enjoyed 3 relaxing days in the sun at the pool. The rest of the time we visited the lovely town of Santilla del Mar, spent time in Santander, Bilbao and went to local beaches to swim, surf etc. Our favourite beach was Playa de Neja a short drive away. A very pleasant holiday...thanks you Gonzalo.

Experiencia inmejorable, tuvimos un percance familiar y el trato de Ana y Gonzalo fue exquisito. Sin duda, si quieres alojarte en Cantabria, es el alojamiento ideal, ubicación de la casa céntrica y tranquila a la vez, casa con mucho encanto y funcional y sobretodo los propietarios amabilísimos y atentos. Urlaub in landschaftlich schöner und ruhiger Umgebung

Das Haus und der Garten bieten viel Platz für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Was in der Anzeige nicht erkennbar war ist, dass sich die Waschbecken ausserhalb der Bäder befanden. Separate Handtücher für den Pool wären wünschenswert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

A Part of Hidden Spain

A little gem in a very quiet, rural village. Unique and quirky. The pool was a haven as this area was suffering from a heatwave. Maybe we could have benefitted from AC at this time! Baker delivered bread every day (large baguette style) but you must remember to put the money in the postbox along with the number you want hanging from a nail. Supermarket only 6 minute drive on the main road, but a smaller one in Entrambasaguas and a lovely restaurant called Hunters. A couple of bars in Navajeda itself. Beaches a 20 minute drive away. Somo Beach was lovely. Surrounded by mountains in the distance it is an area of Spain I'd never have imagined. Very green and verdant pastures. Visited by buzzards and kites on a regular basis. Highly recommend ALBIR.

La casa preciosa y el propietario nos facilitó que todo fuera estupendo

La casa es ideal, el jardín, la piscina, el huertito, todo estupendo. Si le tengo que poner una pega es que no tiene cama doble en la habitación de matrimonio, sino dos camas individuales juntas. Gonzalo, el propietario un señor encantador que nos hizo todo muy fácil. Gracias.

Propietarios y casa excelente

La casa está genial, no le falta detalle, en cuanto a vajilla, ropa de cama, toallas, mobiliario de interior y exterior Increible, (la piscina y el jardín con su huerta), electromesticos hay hasta secadora.Todo muy limpio y ordenado. Los propietarios de 10, siempre a la escucha y muy amables. Nos comentaron como ir a la playa más cercana con niños, paseos por los alrededores ect... Por poner un pero, qué no tiene, diría que no hay persianas ni contraventanas, la casa es muy luminosa, y aunque hay cortinas, entra la claridad, y a eso de las siete y media u ocho los niños se levantaban al ver la luz .Pero para repetir seguro!
