This small castle of the XVIIth listed historical monument was completely renovated in 2013.
The door consists of a portal docked two pavilions gives access to a courtyard with the bottom of the house and garden.
With its old oak staircase, its whitewashed walls, floors covered with old tiles, period furniture, the castle of Chevennes has found the charm and warmth of the past, comfort and more .. ..
The house (7 people) comprises on the ground floor a living room (with a bed), a large kitchen / dining-room, a large bedroom with its bathroom, and upstairs two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Bathroom. Independent room in one of the pavilions (1 person)
 Trails lined with ancient oaks give access to three ponds classified Natura 2000 where we can surprise ducks, geese, herons, but also turtles of an endangered species called cistudes d'europe
This charming cottage can accommodate 7 to 8 people.
The Chateau des Chevennes is located 20 km from Moulins, in the Allier.

Séjour au calme entre campagne et patrimoine

Nous avons passé un séjour extrêmement agréable en famille au coeur de l'Allier, dans cette demeure si bien restaurée, pleine de charme et fonctionnelle en même temps. Nous étions, au calme, entourés d'une campagne magnifique ou l'on a pu prendre le temps de se promener, d'observer les animaux près des étangs, au détour des chemins qui les bordent et visiter cette si belle région (Moulins, Souvigny, Lapalisse, etc). Nous avons reçu un accueil exceptionnel de la part de notre hôte ce qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement des lieux.

Un havre de paix

Une demeure au charme d'antan (on ressent la présence de l'histoire de de notre pays) et au confort bien actuel. De l'espace et du silence : les adultes jouissent de la tranquillité des lieux et les enfants peuvent s'ébattre en toute sécurité sans gêner qui que ce soit. Ajoutons l'amabilité et la disponibilité du propriétaire.

Isolés de toute consternation et dès besoins de la bourgeoisie nous avons vécus notre séjour sans commotions et avec le savoir-vivre de la noblesse dans ce château charmant et plein d’art, d’ambiance mais aussi avec tous les fascilités modernes de haute qualité ! Sans exagérer, on se sentait très privilégié de pouvoir demeurer ici, même si ce n’est que pour une semaine seulement !

Wir hatten wunderbare Ferien mit unseren fünf Kindern! Die Natur war großartig und auch die Lage. Das Haus ist ein Traum und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Zwar braucht man wirklich das Auto um Ausflüge zu machen und man ist mind. 30 min. unterwegs, doch es lohnt sich, dieses bei der schönen Unterkunft in Kauf zu nehmen. Eine Bäckerei und ein ganz kleiner Supermarkt befindet sich im Nachbarort. Wir hatten einen perfekten Urlaub!!
