Comfortable gite in private nature setting / private pool / large garden

This lovely comfortable property consists of a large separate double bedroom, modern private lounge with TV and DVD's, kitchen and good sized bathroom. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Both the bedroom and the lounge have air conditioning. This is the only rented property of the house and you will have full access to the large private gardens, which are more like a small park almost in the Unesco National Park. The swimming pool is large 12.5 x 6.5 m and 3m at the deep end. When you use the pool and the seating area / terrace around it you will have sole and access and be the only people using it . This is a place which is ideal for nature lovers who want a quiet and peaceful holiday with all modern comforts. A great place for walking, you can walk straight out the door and discover the donkey paths, in the mountain; or go biking and sightseeing, or just relax by the pool and watch the abundant nature. From this location you can by car easily get within the day to the best of the places worth visiting in the region, There are plenty of things to see locally but if you want a day trip to the beach this is possible too. You will be pleased to return however because here you will find peace, see the milky way and stars at night and hear the cicadas during the day, as well as spot a great deal of wildlife. There is a huge variety of flowers, insects, African birds, wild boar, deer, foxes, even wolves and lynx are back in the area . Also available for your use are mini bowls and table tennis. Locally you will also find a wide selection of good restaurants ,which serve home made food and local wines at good prices. Despite the fact of being in nature and a very peaceful place only 5 mins away is a large town which has a full range of shops and services where you will find all you need. New note : the Cevennes Park here is now in the world wide Dark Sky Parks list , which confirms the unique nights skys we enjoy

All we hoped for

Very nice property in a beautiful environment. Chantel and Robin are ever so friendly and hospitable! We got some great advice on restaurants and activities in the area. The pool is lovely, as well as the different sunny and shady places to relax in the garden. We had a wonderful time!

Peaceful stay with amazing hosts

We had a lovely time staying at Robin and Chantel’s gite. The location is beautiful and very peaceful. If you like nature, walks and amazing night skies this is the place to be. The accommodation was well equipped and comfortable. Robin and Chantel are extremely kind and incredibly generous. They gave us some great tips on places to visit and walks to do, and even cooked us some delicious food (Chantel’s dessert was better than any restaurant we ate in!). We also enjoyed getting to know Ninon, their cat. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Das Haus und Grundstück, sowieso Pool sind zum Entspannen angenehm ruhig gelegen. Alles ist top in Schuss. Die Vermieter sind unglaublich nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Holiday to remember

The property was lovely just as described, able to park car under the trees to keep them out of the direct sun. The garden is well maintained by the hosts with a stone drive way from the property to the electric gates giving a secure feeling. Robin and Chantel are the most wonderful hosts who greet you with a very warm welcome and are always on hand with advice about the local area. The very large swimming pool was a joy in the late afternoon with the temperature in the high 30’s. The gite has air con in the main living space as well as the bedroom which was much needed at night. We cant wait to return to catch up with Robin & Chantel. We would highly recommend this gite to anyone looking for a quite and relaxing holiday.

Wir haben einen fantastischen Urlaub in dem Ferienhaus verbracht. Es ist klein aber gemütlich. Im ersten Moment waren wir etwas überrascht, dass man die Wohnung verlässt und 3 Treppenstufen nach oben zum Schlafzimmer gehen muss, hat aber im Nachhinein überhaupt nicht gestört. Die Besitzer Robin und Chantal haben uns einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt beschert und uns mit Wande-, Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps verwöhnt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ländlich, wer Unterhaltung sucht ist hier falsch. Zum Entspannen und Chillen ideal.

Nous avons avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux de Chantal et Robin. Et si le paradis existait...

Le gite est un petit nid au milieu d'un très beau jardin. Le chant des oiseaux, la piscine à 28°, le calme absolu, un ciel étoilé comme nulle part ailleurs font de cet endroit un petit paradis.. Peaceful Getaway from it all

I beautiful, clean property ideal for 2 to get away from the noise and bustle of life. Robin the host met us and was great describing the area and property and the entry to the huge pool for our use, bed was a great size big and very comfortable. The outdoor shower, if you preferred this, was superb the mornings. Had a great stay even had an evening picnic prepared by Robins wife Chantel at the top of the terrace to watch the harvest moon. All in all a great time with trips out to local restaurants and viewing great scenery. would visit again. Dean. PS. Hope Megs busking went OK.

Peace and hospitality in a wonderful location.

This gite is attached to the owners home is a beautiful garden with only the sounds of birds and insects to disturb you. It is well equipped with everything you could need. The pool is great. Robin and Chantelle are the perfect hosts. They are warm and so helpful suggesting restaurants and day trips. We were invited to an evening with their neighbours and to an evening of outdoor cinema in the garden and felt very much part of 'French living'. The location is wonderful for exploring, markets, hiking, festivals, night sky viewing and river swims. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We are a 60 plus year old couple, I am English and my wife is French . We like lots of types of music, art, film , walking , swimming and all things in nature. We like to meet people from around the world. Happy if I am free to take you out on some local walks / and discuss where the best things to visit are whilst we have a drink together.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the house when we saw exactly the location and the setting . It is so calm here and private with almost no noise. Nature is untouched and we are surrounded by it, animals birds, insects, trees and flowers. The night sky is amazing , sometimes we just lie down on the warm stone driveway at night and watch it and the shooting stars ( especially in August ) It is extremely relaxing. However there is a lot to see and do locally and the shops and other facilities ( doctor dentist ) are only 5 mins away in the car. Plenty of days trips are available too as we are in the centre of a variety of popular locations.
