This premiere property is perfectly situated on Honolulu’s famous Gold Coast. It is on the 8th floor of a small, exclusive high rise building and only a short walk from the beautiful beaches of Diamond Head and Waikiki. Hard to come by parking is included for 2 full-size or 3 compact cars.

There is no air conditioning in the entire 3056 Kalakaua building. 2nd bedroom has a room A/C if requested. Freshly updated October 2024 but pictures have not yet been updated. I met my husband, James MacArthur, as the first LPGA teaching golf pro at Waialae Country Club when he came for a lesson. He even carried my bag in LPGA tour events. That's when I knew he'd "made the cut"! Soon our son was old enough to join us golfing throughout the Hawaiian islands and in far away countries. We also watched our son through binoculars grow up surfing the waves at Tongs from our condo livingroom. My husband died in 2010 leaving us many years of happy memories of good times shared in our beloved Hawaii.
Why they chose this property
James MacArthur purchased this property because it was everything he wanted. The private, secure building with unparalleled views in a quiet, residential neighborhood provided easy access to the Hawaii Film Studios, home of Hawaii Five-0, and a short walk to Tongs, his favorite surf spot. Time spent here with family and close friends was always special. Over the years his love and respect for Hawaii, the land, the culture and, most importantly, the people, never waned. James was accepted by the locals as ohana...family...an honor he treasured deeply. He described this condo, this link to so much he cared about as, "The best investment I ever made."

The condo is an oasis overlooking the cosmopolitan hub of activity known as Waikiki. A quick glide down the elevator and you're out on the street, soaking up the surrounding beauty as you walk by Kapiolani Park and the enchanting Waikiki Aquarium on your way to a myriad of possible destinations. Wherever the day takes you, the road will eventually lead back to the peaceful haven from whence you began. The view of Waikiki at night is breathtaking, as is the looming presence of Diamond Head, but the darkness of the water, broken only by the lights of passing boats, is almost mesmerizing.
