Artist Franco-Portuguese, I welcome you to Casa do Beco, impasse in Portuguese, located in a typical area of ​​Lisbon: Graça neighborhood located on the highest hill of Lisbon and offers a superb view of the city.
Casa do Beco Beco do Monte is located on the 1st floor of a renovated building on a quiet street and provides comfort and high quality services.
The unit can accommodate up to 2 adults. It is ideally located for its proximity to the small businesses, shops and other tourist places.

The apartment consists of:

You can easily reach the city center on foot (20mn) or by taking the famous tram number 28 (10mn) through some tourist areas of the city.
You can walk in Alfama, the São Jorge Castle, Baixa, Chiado and Bairro Alto.

Lovely flat in great location

My friend and I had a lovely time in this flat. It's got lovely tall ceilings, it was super clean, good balcony, all necessary appliances in the kitchen. We were able to communicate with the owner to get in and leave our bags before check in. Easy to get to from anywhere in Lisbon and to and from the airport.

I stayed at this apartment in Lisbon, and unfortunately, someone broke in through the window during the night while I was sleeping and stole my phone. The intruder left a cap on the balcony, which I found in the morning.It was a very scary and unsettling experience. I reported it to the host, but I hadn’t called the police yet at that moment. The apartment is in the historic center, but it seems that the window can be easily accessed from outside, which makes it unsafe for guests.I hope the host and VRBO improve the security of the property (locks, balcony access, etc.) so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Post grad trip across Europe

This was a great unit! Perfect unit for 2-3 people. The views outside were awesome and it was close to a lot of restaurants and shops. It was a 30 minute walk down to the main Lisbon area which is perfect for someone trying to get some steps in! The kitchen was very functional in case you wanted to make a meal in. Would absolutely recommend this unit!

Not bad, but better communication

We just got back from spending 4 weeks at this apartment during January/February 2025. There are some things I wish I had known ahead of time. One: Many Portuguese apartments do not have heating. This was an assumption we made, that it would have heat. There were two electric radiators, but not very helpful. Two: the neighborhood. We were unprepared for the extreme hills that lead to the apartment on both sides—especially taking our luggage in and out. Younger folks might not mind them. Three: better communication from the host. Knowing where to take the trash ahead of time would have been helpful for long-term renters. Our query was answered quickly, but I wish we had known. The WiFi worked well. But the electricity was suspect. If too many things were turned on at one time, the circuit breaker would trip. We found out that we couldn't make coffee and toast at the same time. Sometimes, we didn't know what tripped the breaker, but we had to reset it at least a dozen or more times during our stay. Maybe a note as to where the breaker box is and how to reset it would be helpful. We figured it out, but it would have been helpful to know in advance. The decor was very nice. The furniture in the dining area and the bedroom were very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there, but a few things would have helped. Honestly, had we known about the heating issue, we would have found someplace else. When the evening temperatures went down, the apartment became cold.

Gastgeber war bei Ankunft sehr freundlich. Ich habe 2 Schlafzimmer gemietet, Bettwäsche war nur in einem Zimmer. Spülmaschine defekt , wurde nicht gesagt. Zeitweise kein Strom , wenn der Herd und gleichzeitig anderer Strom genutzt wurde. Hauptsicherung ein - und ausgeschaltet, dann ging es wieder für wenige Minuten. Zu Fuß Anstieg zur Wohnung von der Metro Station sehr steil und mit Koffer eine Katastrophe. Schlecht beschrieben, um dies zu vermeiden. Bad stinkt die meiste Zeit nach altem Abfluss, Toilettendeckel war nicht fest , musste ständig repariert werden. Toller Blick vom kleinen Balkon Richtung Stadt und Sonnenuntergang.

L'appartement est très bien placé et spacieux, le balcon est un gros avec une vue imprenable sur la ville. Le propriétaire était réactif. Petit bémol : le compteur électrique est très capricieux et présence de blattes dans l'immeuble !

Un véritable confort

L'appartement est très propre, très bien agencé et proche du centre pour fournir un confort rare. L'accueil a été très efficace malgré le retard du vol, et très chaleureux. On se sent bien dans cet appartement à tel point qu'il y avait des matins où on ne voulait pas sortir! Merci à nos hôtes, c'était super.

Point de vuesur la ville, visite dans le quartier de Graca, à proximité. Le vent a dominé lors de notre séjour, ce qui rend le logement moins confortable car les vitres ne peuvent pas rester ouvertes. Bon séjour dans l'ensemble.

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit, weil recht zentral gelegen…nach kurzer Zeit haben wir uns in der Gegend gut zurecht gefunden… …die Unterkunft war okay…wir hätten uns mehr Geschirr gewünscht, das bisschen, was da war, war leider angeschlagen…zwei Handtücher pro Person für eine Woche war auch etwas wenig…leider gab es im Bad jede Menge Schwarzschimmel, das war echt nicht schön…und der Tisch auf dem Balkon sollte mal getauscht werden oder wenigstens den abblätternden Rost beseitigen. Für eine Woche mit zwei Leuten ist die Unterkunft okay.

Akzeptabel trotz Mängeln

Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt okay. Allerdings hatten wir für 2 Erwachsene dieses Quartier mit 2 Schlafzimmern extra ausgewählt,. Es stand nur ein Doppelbett im Schlafzimmer zur Verfügung, das 2. "Schlafzimmer war eine Durchgangskammer mit 2 Liegen ohne Bettzeug (das haben wir uns dann selbst gekauft!). Ein weiterer Mangel war der fehlende Code, um sich in das Netz einzuloggen. Trotz Nachfrage erhielten wir nur den Wlan Handyzugang, also unsere Laptop`s konnten nicht genutzt werden! Im Badezimmer ist alles etwas wackelig.

Die Wohnung ist auf der Website nicht mit 2 Schlafzimmern angegeben, aber in der Beschreibung wird nur eines erwähnt, wobei das 2. Zimmer ein Wohnzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten ist. Wenn Sie uns gesagt hätten, dass wir nicht zusammen schlafen sollen, hätten wir das zweite Bettzeug für Sie vorbereitet und Sie hätten es daher nicht kaufen müssen. Bezüglich der Codes, nach denen Sie mich gefragt haben, habe ich Ihnen die WLAN-Codes per SMS geschickt, um Fehler zu vermeiden, da ich nicht sehe, welche anderen Codes Sie zum Arbeiten an einem Computer benötigen. Wenn es nicht gepasst hätte, hättest du es mir sagen und fragen können, was du brauchst.

Beautiful space in a great location.

The apartment was clean with high ceilings and a small porch. It was a great place to go back to and relax. It was also a great location for getting around and seeing Lisbon. I would recommend it!

great location, but...

The apartment is in a very central location, we were able to walk to most parts of town. Many grocery stores and restaurants close by. It is near the top of a hill so the view was great. There was usually a nice breeze which keeps the place cool. There are two large couches, which we liked. Unfortunately, there was a very noxious odour coming from the bathroom. Apparently because of the old pipes in the building sewer gas can come up therm. The smell often got so bad it would pervade the whole apartment. The mattress was very uncomfortable. You can feel the springs. We had to put extra blankets on top to provide more cushion. The kitchen was well appointed but the wiring is poorly done so if we had more than two appliances on at the same time the power would shut off. Sometimes it would shut down when we just used two stovetop burners at the same time! Toilet paper was provided but no other necessities like soap. So you have to go shopping when you first arrive just to get the basics.

Schöne Wohnung mit großer Aussicht

Insgesamt recht gut. Leider hat es im Bad schlecht gerochen, zwischen den Fliesen überall Schimmel. Wir haben uns selbst an die sofortige Reinigung gemacht, um den Schimmel einzudämmen.

Gemütliche Wohnung mit Innenstadtblick

Wohnung liegt fußläufig zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Wohnung ist sauber und gemütlich. Das Badezimmer ist optimierungsfähig ( keine Seife, WC wackelt, Tür schließt nicht richtig). Den Vermieter haben wir leider nicht gesehen und dementsprechend keine Wohnungseinführung gehabt.
