An absolutely lovely flat in the heart of London...
Four of us (myself, wife, and two grown children) rented the property for a total of 10 days during the beginning of August. Location: The location was really great for providing access to the rest of London. There is a seven minute walk to the Fulham Underground (tube). The location let us keep from renting a car. Parking would have been very difficult if there was a need for a car. We were able to book tours for the South of England and France just by accessing the tube. The downside of the location is that the lovely 2 level flat is on a major thoroughfare for commuter traffic which means lots of inner city noise, all day and all night. The street sweepers begin at 5:00 am promptly. Weather and Heat: When we first arrived it was quite warm outside and the flat was hot. However, once the windows were open, there is an amazing cross breeze which cooled off both floors. The advertisement for flat says that it has air conditioning. While that is true, the unit is in the main bedroom and we were never able to figure out how to turn it on. The host that checked us in, told us that the unit did not have air conditioning. It looks like the unit may work with a hand held remote, but it was no where to be found and the thermostat was not set to be able to switch over to cooling. That being said, there was enough of a cross breeze and cool evening temperatures that we did not need unit. Check in/out and communication with the rental office, Veeve, was lovely. The folks were warm, responded promptly and were very helpful. Thoughts on the property. It's a lovely space for no more than 4 adults. Great location, had the basics of most everything a family would need. The deck off the back of the flat is just wonderful for early evening wine and cheese and quite spacious. The beds, linen, towels were clean, new and wonderfully comfortable. The couch is a little worn, but good enough for three people to really stretch out. An additional chair would be an added luxury for a long day of shopping in the city. Concerns: The only major concern we had with the property is that there is a defined leak in the shower. Could probably be due to the need of some caulking, but only a plumber could tell. If you take light showers there will be a bit of a wet spot in the hall carpet outside the bathroom. If you're a heavy shower user, you could see a steady stream of water coming through the kitchen smoke detector. There is a bucket in the bathroom should you need

Two week stay in Fulham London
The property is well situated in a relatively quiet area. The property condition and furnishings are very good and the external terrace expeptionally large. I would recommend the property but note the following issues which are irritating. The cooking pots/pans were so bad we went and purchased our own to use. The cupboard space is very limited for guests as most areas taken up by the owner. There are three levels with narrow steps to each which is not described on the website. This could be a major issue for anyone with a disability.

The place was filthy, smelly and noisy. We selected this place for the AC and it did not work.
Horrible. Property description and photos mislead you. No AC. Dishwasher did not work. Leak in the shower, so all the carpet was wet... and smelly. Property management (Veeve) unresponsive and pretty rude. We left the property and went to a hotel. Never again.
