"Il nido al Colosseo II" is a delightful apartment located in a 19th century building, in the heart of the historic center, along the road that the papal parades used to go from the Basilica of San Pietro to that of San Giovanni in Laterano.
Equipped with every comfort, easily accessible from airports and train stations, a few steps from metro, public transport and services, it is an ideal starting point for visiting the most important masterpieces of Rome.
Perfect for families, romantic getaways or couples, it is the ideal solution to spend a relaxing stay.
The attention to detail and a warm welcome will make your stay unique.
The apartment is renovated and furnished with taste and I personally supervised the restoration of the furniture, I have paintings and carefully chosen detail.
Tips and welcome kit: To make your stay as pleasant as I have personally selected a range of information and useful addresses. Upon your arrival you will find a list, divided by the area in which the premises are listed (typical taverns, restaurants, pizzerias, bars, pubs, wine bars, bakeries, etc.) that in my experience I think are suitable for you to spend in the best way your stay. You will be met by me or my husband and we will provide all necessary information also on means of transport, the attractions of the neighborhood, the advice for pleasant walks in the city center. This way you can give your holiday a very customized impression and experience Rome not only as tourists.

You will find a food welcome kit (pasta, tomato sauce, olive oil, vinegar, salt, sugar, milk, coffee, snacks, tea, fresh fruit), which will allow you to organize without haste in one of the very close supermarkets. Also available in the hygienic products (shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, toilet paper) and detergents, as well as a kit for cleaning shoes, a set for first aid and a hairdryer.
It 'also available a washing machine, including detergent, clothes pegs, drying rack, iron and ironing board.

L 'apartment is located near the metro stop "Colosseo" (Line B) and' San Giovanni '(Line A) and a short walk from the bus stops that allow you to reach easily and quickly the main attractions and popular areas for shopping such as Via Condotti, Via del Corso, Via Frattina, Via Appia, etc. Nearby it is also the economic Via Sannio market, very lively and famous for its stalls of clothing and footwear made in Italy.
The area is full of bars and entertainment venues and is characterized by the presence of numerous green areas equipped with games for children. Among these: Villa Celimontana and the Colle Oppio Park.
Strolling meet romanesche trattorias where to taste the typical kitchen, and other rooms for a snack or a tasty break, as well as shops where to shop in the relaxing local atmosphere.

Transportation from / to Airports: On request is available a transport service to / from the Fiumicino and Ciampino airports

Perfect weekend in Rome

This apartment is beautiful, spacious and very clean. It has everything you need. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom and kitchen. Amazing location-you can open the door and look down the street and see the coloseum! Marco is a gracious host, helping with maps, places to eat and sights on the neighborhood. He even arranged our taxis for us. The apartment is also well air conditioned-I would stay here again and highly reccommend it!

First of all, the owner was wonderful to work with. Responded quickly to emails and was extremely helpful. The apartment was small, but had everything we needed. Most importantly it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had fruit and a few treats waiting for us when we arrived. That was much appreciated. The apartment was located in easy walking distance to the Coloseum in a neighborhood where I always felt safe. Easy walk to a grocery store and to good restaurants where locals, as well as tourists ate.

Location! Location! Location! The apartment literally had the Colosseo at one end of the block and San Giovanni Laterno at the other! Antonella was the perfect host and no detail large or small was overlooked. From the kitchen and bathroom staples to the welcome basket of fruit. There was a first aid kit, fire extingusher and umbrellas. She even arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport! Antonella replied quickly and had maps, tips and directions ready for us. At checkout, Marco called a cab for us, so we didn't have to walk to the taxi stand. A great experience!

5 STAR APARTMENT!!

This apartment was the perfect place for my husband and I. It was decorated beautifully and the location couldn’t be beat. It was close to the Colosseum and the metro lines and some great little hole in the wall restaraunts, which we loved. Antonella was the perfect hostess. She went over everything thoroughly when we arrived and kept in touch by text during our stay. If I had a question, she responded immediately. You can tell she really loves hosting guests as she has thought of every little detail to make ones stay more pleasant. We especially appreciated the binder she put together of local restaurants and directions. She even arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport and take us back at the end of our trip. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Thank you, Antonella for the perfect place to make so many wonderful memories.

Another fantastic experience staying at this apartment in Rome!

Many thanks to Antonella and Marco for making our second stay here as warm and welcoming as our first. It is a truely lovely apartment, extremely well situated with all the sights of Rome within walking distance. They have helpfully provided detailed information about public transport, restaurants and places of interest to visit nearby and further afield. The apartment is decorated to a very high standard with lots of thoughtful extras - toiletries, a well equipped kitchen, tea, coffee, cakes and even a bottle of sparkling wine! The bed is also very comfortable which we were very grateful for after the many miles of walking we did. I've a feeling we will be returning next year as it really does feel like a home from home. Rome has so much history and is a wonderful city with so much more to experience. We also accidently took one of their umbrellas home (also thoughtfully provided!) which we need to return!! Looking forward to our next stay and thank you for making our stay in Rome so comfortable, warm and welcoming. Ciao untill next time xxxx

Wonderfuly Romantic

From the moment we booked this lovely apartment Antonella reached out with helpful advice, arranged for a driver from the airport and had sparkling wine waiting for my husband and I. Marco, her husband was waiting for us on arrival. Making us feel comfortable and helped us get settled. I can’t say enough about this apartment! Their apartment is all that it is advertised to be. Very charming, clean, well decorated and equipped. We wanted for nothing. The apartment is convenient to everything in Rome. When leaving Rome it is convenient to bus or train station. It is a friendly neighborhood and I especially liked getting to know the shop keepers and neighbors. There is a very good restaurant/baked goods just beside the apartment building, wonderful gelato on the corner and many fantastic cafe’s. Hosts with Amazing attention to detail

Antonella and Marco have great attention to detail. They answered questions before we knew we had one. Their listing is accurate, and indicative of their excellent approach. They contacted us well before our trip and gave us a great heads up on how, and, more importantly, WHEN to buy tickets (which is one to two months before you want to go!). They have a great binder of information, with many great recommendations, includinng Li Rioni, and Da Domenico restaurants, which were both excellent. The place was spacious, well decorated, well equipped, great AC in both the bedroom and the LR, has a very comfortable bed. The location is two blocks from the Colosseum. The neighborhood felt safe. We walked to the far side of the Colosseum/Forum at night to watch the full moon rise, and never felt nervous. There is a nice supermarket, Castoro, about 10 min from the place, and smaller markets closer. You could get to the metro in 11 min, either near the Colosseum, or in the other direction. And get where you want to in a short ride. Great place to stay in Roma!

Celio or Cielo?

The apartment was small but perfect as a base for visiting Rome. It is s few blocks from the Colesseum (which can be seen up th street) and the heart of the city, and just down from a "gay bar" area in one directions and Piazza San Giovanni in Laterno in the other so there are plenty of places to eat and drink within a couple of hundred feet. The photos are 100% accurate and the place is clean and has all needed conveniences including a welcome basket of fresh an delicious fruit. Though Antonella was not in town during our visit she connected with WhatsApp and is warn, friendly, and cheerful. (After all, her avatar on the site is a portrait of a cat). We did meet her Marco and he too was very nice and helpful about volunteering to keep our luggage until we left some hours after checkout time. The apartment is up only a few stairs and the building was pleasantly cool in the July heatwave, as was the unit even without the AC. If my Italian has not failed me "Celio" means "I jest" but I would just change a couple of letters around and call it "cielo" for "heaven." We would recommend Celio for a couple and it could even handle four people, though there is a single bathroom and bedroom with two having to sleep in the living room, as accurately shown in the photos.

A quiet, clean, and cozy apartment in the heart of Rome.

We highly recommend this apartment for those who plan to stay in Rome for a short or extended period. We found the apartment to be quite spacious. Antonella and Marco are wonderful hosts who made us welcome. Antonella showed us where we could find everything. Our hosts even provided coffee and milk! Antonella also provided information regarding sights, places to eat and other useful information. The apartment is in a perfect location for walking to everywhere you might want to go. The Colosseum is down the street and San Giovanni in Laterano is up the street. Both are served by the Metro if you want to get to a distant destination faster or want to go farther afield since both lines intersect at Stazione Termini. We enjoyed eating in the restaurants on our street. Rome has so much to offer. We recommend you stay in this apartment and make it your home away from home. Antonella and Marco take great pride in their apartment, and they also want their guests to feel at home. Thank you, Antonella and Marco, we didn’t want to leave.

A due passi dal Colosseo e non solo...

Siamo stati ospiti per tre notti dalla Signora Antonella nel suo bellissimo appartamento a due passi dal Colosseo, ma anche dal resto delle meraviglie di Roma. La zona è molto tranquilla ed a pochi passi ci sono bar, ristoranti e supermercati. L’appartamento rispetta perfettamente le foto, si percepisce la passione per i dettagli della proprietaria, e nulla è lasciato al caso e tutto agli occhi (e non solo) risulta molto pulito ed ordinato. La cosa che colpisce di più è la tranquillità della via e di come tutta la frenesia di Roma resti al di fuori delle mura di casa, abbiamo riposato benissimo dopo le lunghe camminate diurne! Preziose le indicazioni ed i consigli della Signora Antonella per vivere Roma senza sorprese! Sicuramente sarà il nostro punto d’appoggio per i prossimi viaggi a Roma! GRAZIE ANTONELLA

Spotless, very comfortable nest in Rome

Perfect little flat in Rome's Celio district near the Coliseum. Very comfortable double bed and everything else one could want, including basic supplies, good coffee and a big bowl of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. Very nice bathroom, and the fold-out bed our teenager slept on was also comfortable. Good quality bedding. Antonella and Marco are great hosts - we tried several of their recommendations for restaurants and they were all excellent. They arranged our taxis to and from the airport which was very helpful, and both were good drivers with nice cars. The area is very handy for the sights but also very quiet - we slept like a dream. As expected there is no view or outside space - this is on the ground floor and the windows open on an inner courtyard - but if you're in Rome you should be sitting in a piazza anyway! (There is a cafe / restaurant right next door, with seats outside, where we had breakfast every day.) Strongly recommended beautiful flat - we may come back as a couple (without a teenager quite so close next door) as it's also really romantic! Thank you A&M!

Séjour inoubliable! Unforgettable stay!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L’appartement est spacieux et confortable pour une escapade en couple. La majorité des attractions sont à distance de marche. Restaurant, épicerie près de l’appartement. Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par Antonella et Marco. Ce sont hôtes exceptionnels et pleins de petites attentions qui nous font sentir à la maison. Un petit merci à Ricardo qui est venu nous chercher à l’aéroport. We had a great time. Antonella greeted us at the property and she had lots of very useful information to help us with our stay in Rome. In fact we had spoken several times before our arrival and she gave us some great advice on making the most of our visit. The apartment was perfectly located for us near the Collesseum and within easy reach of the main railway station. The apartment was clean, tidy and well appointed and comfortable. Appartement aménagé et décoré avec goût, très bien tenu et très bien situé pour visiter Rome.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Rome dans ce logement à la situation idéale pour visiter Rome (en grande partie à pied). Les propriétaires, extrêmement sympathiques, ont arrangé avec goût cet impeccable petit appartement (très bien pour un couple avec un enfant), qui donne sur une cour. On y trouve en outre tout ce dont l'on peut avoir besoin lorsque l'on arrive avec ses valises ! Merci beaucoup donc à Antonella et Marco qui pensent à tout et à bientôt. Highly recommended

We have just returned from our first visit in Rome and would highly recommend staying in this lovely flat. It is ideally located for sightseeing with the Colosseum literally at the bottom of the road. Antonella and Marco were very welcoming and provided alot of information and a guided walk of the local area. The flat itself is beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful little extras. The bed was really comfortable - very important after a long day of sightseeing. We really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back next year! Many thanks to contributing to a wonderful holiday!

Superbe endroit!

L'endroit est superbe, magnifiquement situé à 2 pas (littéralement!) du Colisée, Forum, etc. L'appartement suffisamment spacieux pour 2-3 personnes, bien équipé pour cuisiner était propre et très bien entretenu. Nos hôtes, Antonella et Marco, ont été tellement accueillants! Ils nous ont même préparé une liste d'endroits à voir, à visiter, où manger et boire, dans le quartier et même ailleurs dans Rome... tout ça en français! TOUT était fourni: les produits de base en cuisine, de quoi se faire au moins un repas, quelques fruits, les produits de bain et pour faire la lessive. Génial! Si je retourne à Rome un jour, je rappellerai Antonella et Marco c'est certain! Grazie mile di tutto! Siete stati meravigliosi con noi!

Appartement très bien situé et agréable

Marco est un hôte très sympathique, souriant et parlant un français impeccable avec un charmant accent italien. Une corbeille de fruits frais nous attendait à notre arrivée. Ses conseils sont appréciables et utiles pour nous qui découvrions Rome pour la 1ère fois. L' appartement est agréable bien décoré et fonctionnel, que demander de plus pour des vacances ? Et la clim, c'est plutôt bien au mois d'août quand la température avoisine les 35° à l'extérieur. C'est un peu sombre mais on est au RDC... A quelques pas du Colisé, le quartier est calme au niveau de l'appartement et l'animation n'est pas très loin. Je recommande cet appartement et merci à Marco pour sa gentillesse

Great apartment in perfect location!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay in Marco and Antonella's cozy apartment Il nido al Colosseo 2. Perfect for what we needed. Marco met us upon arrival and was a wealth of information. Essential groceries were already stocked in the kitchen! And there were outlet adapters ready to use. Nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. We felt very safe and loved the short walk to the Colosseum. There were plenty of restaurants and stores to stroll by. During our stay Marco and Antonello kept us apprised of transportation strikes or other local shows and celebrations. They arranged a private car for us to the Vatican for general audience with the Pope and also to the Rome Airport. This made for a stress free vacation. We will definitely stay here on any future trips to Rome (we will be back!). Thank you so much, Marco and Antonella!

Semana Santa en Roma

Nos alojamos esta Semana Santa en este apartamento. Esta estupendo muy limpio, bien decorado y con todo lo necesario y más. Marco y Antonella son encantadores y siempre atentos respondiendo a todas tus dudas y además dándote y dejándote toda clase de indicaciones con mapas ,horarios etc.... Esta muy cerca del Coliseo de hecho se ve nada más salir y de todo lo interesante de esta maravillosa ciudad.El apartamento es amplio con camas cómodas y con cocina pequeña pero con todo lo necesario además los dueños nos dejaron cosas para picar y un súper bizcocho que estaba buenísimo. El baño es amplio y con plato , con todo lo necesario hasta para limpiar los zapatos. Tiene a/a con frío y calor que va estupendamente y muy importante la conexión de internet va muy bien. En fin lo peor de todo es que se nos ha hecho corto. Gracias por todo Marco y Antonella espero volver pronto

L'appartement est situé dans un endroit idéal, à 10 minutes à pied du Colisée et du métro; le quartier est bon; il y a beaucoup de restaurants, et d'établissements pour acheter de la nourriture. L'appartement est mignon, propre et équipé pour un séjour très agréable. Marco nous a accueillis avec un panier de fruits et du fromage Parmigiano, ainsi que les essentiels, même du shampooing, après-shampooing, crème...et il a même organisé notre transportation de l'aéroport à l'appartement. Il nous a donné des directions et des conseils pour un magnifique séjour dans la Ville Éternelle. Merci Marco

I have worked many years in various humanitarian organizations and I have traveled a lot, both for work and for pleasure. Since I love to travel and get in touch with people, I'm finally able to realize one of my dreams: to open a vacation home and be able to reserve my guests special care and attention. One of my passions is to furnish apartments and to this vacation home I have devoted a lot of care, attention and passion: from research, restoration, painting of furniture, to the care of every single detail.
