We chose this place for Myself, my husband, our kids, dogs and my inlaws to stay while we explored yellowstone park. It was perfect. The pool table was the best. Property owner was amazing and communicated better than any cabin we've rented.

Thank You so much! You guys were wonderful and so glad you came! Thanks for taking great care of our cabin.
If you want a place in the deep woods this is the place. Nice quiet place that lets you enjoy the sounds of nature including the nearby stream. We loved the ping pong table.
The house is in a beautiful location, but you need some ground clearance. The road is almost "unimproved". It was very peaceful and a great deck for early morning coffee. We saw saw mama and baby moose just off the property, a nice surprise. My wife would have liked more towels and washcloths, and working screens on the sliding door and windows.
This cabin was perfect to fulfill our needs. A great central location if you’re wanting to explore Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons if you don’t mind a little driving in this beautiful part of the country. The cabin was clean and well supplied. My family didn’t want to leave when it was time to go home! Thank you for everything!
We had a great stay at the cabin. It was a great location with a half hour drive to Yellowstone Park. The additional use of the hot tub and ping pong/pool table in the rec room was a plus. Bringing water in is a must, so be aware. The washer and dryer and dishwasher was a godsend! Thanks!

It was a big cabin that had everything we needed. there are enough rooms there to fit 8 people but it will be hard to do it with only one bathroom. iIt is is a bit tough to get there and it is a good 40-minute drive from the west entrance to Yellowstone but it was nice to stay so deep in the woods. The owner's instructions were very detailed and clear and we had a great time.
Our stay was confortable. Unfortunately there has been a problem with the veranda. It was collapsed, It was severely damaged, so that we could only sit in a row outside the balcony. Also the hot tub was not available. The owner had warned me, so I was aware of that. Nevertheless it would have been neat that we had a little discount for the inconvenience...
The cabin is not far away from Yellowstone and we visited it 3 times.
Despite the damaged cabin, we`ve had good times here.

Not great for small kids
The home was spacious and clean when we arrived. There were a few issues…the railing on the outside steps was completely detached at the bottom and was quite dangerous for my 70 year old father. The deck was in rough shape - definitely some rotten wood, chipping paint, lots of splinters.
I would not recommend this for people with small kids who aren’t adept at stairs. The stairs to the basement are open with no way of blocking them at all, making them pretty dangerous for our toddler.
There was an issue with the water when we were there, caused by the flooding. The owner told us to bring drinking water, which we did. I would not recommend anyone using the hot tub until the water is better, and don’t brush teeth or even shower in it, as my dad and daughter both got severe stomach issues from it when we first arrived (vomiting).
Be aware if you rent this place - it is extremely remote. It’s 45 minutes west Yellowstone and over an hour the opposite way to Rexburg Idaho if you need anything like healthcare or a pharmacy or whatnot.

I am so sorry that you had issues. I wish that you would have contacted me as I am more than willing to resolve any issues within my abilities.
We haven’t been on a vacation in many years the cabin was warm and inviting fully furnished clean and very quite our stay was wonderful we seen lots of moose a few deer and lots of quite hot tub was very nice
We found the cabin to be clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked and everything works. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms roomy. The tv worked great! The kids loved the ping pong and pool table and the darts. The only drawbacks were the need to take your trash to the local dump , and the distance from the park. But the rental rate made the drive worth it and the landfill was actually very interesting—exceptionally clean and high tech. Overall a nice place.
The cabin is rustic, but comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. Lots of spices and cooking implements in the kitchen. The oven is small (we cooked one frozen pizza at a time), four-burner range. Plenty of towels and blankets and extra pillows. Large shady wooden deck. Note that it is at the end of a bumpy dirt road, so a high-carriage vehicle is necessary to access it (Jeep and Ford Explorer did well). Can see neighbor’s house from the cabin; neighbors were quiet.
The location, the cabin, the experience had us hooked from the beginning so much so that we have now spent our second Christmas here! Everything is perfect here! Highly recommended!
A couple of blips didn't stop us from having a great time. We had a party of five and fit very comfortably. The hot tub was on the fritz, but Tristaen got it fixed and it was wonderful after a long day exploring Yellowstone. We would definitely visit again. Thanks!!
We had an overall great experience! It was nice to be able to have our pets with us, sit in the hot tub and it was back far enough we explored a little too. We have a 1 1/2 year old we had to watch a lot with the stairs and We had to block off the big stairs but I think that was the only thing that was tough. The place was clean and pool/ping pong table kept the kids busy while it snowed and the process/requirements were reasonable!
Would book again!
This cabin was just as described - clean, multi-bedrooms - just as outlined in the description. We had quick access to Grand Tetons National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Mesa Falls. Tristaen replied quickly and pleasantly to all of our communication. We will stay here again if we ever visit Island Park again!
This warm, secluded cabin was perfect for our small family gathering with four adults and three children. We loved the game room! Kids often played on their own downstairs while adults visited and prepared meals upstairs.
Comfortable beds. Nice linens. Well-stocked kitchenware and spices. Beautiful setting for walks in the woods. Close enough to Yellowstone that we went to the park three days in a row.
The owner was very responsive and helpful. The space is non-luxury, but very comfortable and an excellent value for the price. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
We saw a young moose just down the road from our cabin, highlight of our trip! Tristaen's cabin was comfortable and clean, we enjoyed it. Thank you!

About the host

We have been visiting as a family the Island Park area for years. We are here either snowmobiling in the winter, hunting in the fall, or fishing, boating, and four wheeling in the summer! We have such wonderful memories in this place and are excited to help others enjoy it as well!
Why they chose this property
We purchased this cabin for its peaceful location close to all our favorite recreational activities, and were excited that we could update and put our personal touch on our cabin! Keep checking for updated pictures of our cabin!
What makes this property unique
We love our the Mural on the wall and the thought of sitting by the fire after a long day of snowmobiling! Although the rest of the "That 70's show" decor had to go!
