Large space but very tired feeling

First, Melanie was very good with communication which I appreciated. I was very excited about staying here and the pictures made it look great but all 4 of us were very disappointed when we stepped inside, the entire house was very dated & tired. Someone had left a bucket in the middle of the kitchen floor. Our bed was uncomfortable & the bedding was very sad. The overall impression was how cluttered the kitchen was with stuff. I had expected to love it so understandably, I was so disappointed.

Thanks for you review. The Old Coach House is an ancient building & has been sympathetically restored and renovated to retain its period charm. It was re-decorated in 2017. This is the first feedback we have received about the uncomfortable bed as mattress choice is a difficult one when it comes to meeting everyone's needs. I can only imagine our cleaner had accidentally left the mop bucket in the kitchen as this is the last floor to mop before leaving. A recent client had suggested we have more stuff in the kitchen to cater for large groups, (such as a pan with the capacity to cook mussels for 10 people!), so we feel we have the balance right with the kitchen equipment. The house sleeps 10 so we need to cater for maximum capacity.
