The Property

A beautiful, detached, stone-built farmhouse, next door to the owners’ hotel in the village of Whitchurch, close to Symonds Yat and the Royal Forest of Dean. This spacious and well laid-out farmhouse provides an ideal holiday home for a get-together with extended family or a large group of friends, offering welcoming and versatile accommodation over three floors. The entrance porch provides hanging and boot storage for walking gear and space to dry off dogs and children! Enter the gorgeous and very well-equipped kitchen with a range cooker as well as a solid fuel Esse range, which provides extra warmth and cooking space. The kitchen has everything the chef of the party could ask for to cook a celebratory dinner or Sunday lunch for the whole party. Through the kitchen is a large open plan area with luxurious sofas, a TV and a dining area to seat all guests. The farmhouse also benefits from a snug, perfect for guests wishing to curl up and relax with a good book in front of the woodburning stove. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, four on the first floor and the master en-suite bedroom takes up the second floor. All the beds are made up with crisp cotton bed linen, guaranteeing a lovely night’s sleep. Outside, ball games can be enjoyed in the large enclosed garden which also has a children's play area, garden furniture and a brick built barbecue for those balmy summer evenings. You can unwind after a day exploring the area in the outdoor sauna or hot tub, and in the evening, why not head to the owners’ superb hotel, serving real ales and excellent food? Many lovely walks and cycle rides can be enjoyed from the doorstep of the cottage; visit the nearby riverside towns of Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, or try one of the many activities on offer in the Forest of Dean. This is a wonderful cottage for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
