Thankyou for your lovely review of the cottage it was lovely meeting you both and glad you enjoyed the cottage kind regards Fiona and David
Everything was clean, nice, and comfortable. Toys, books, and board games on site for the littles, and host was wonderful and helpful when we needed guidance on the local area. The location was perfect multiple grocery stores within 5 minute drive. Easy convenient access to the main road that led to multiple vacation hotspots. Was so nice to have a home like space to crash after long days of traveling and exploring Scotland. 10/10 would rent again.

The cottage itself was very comfortable, all the rooms were a nice size, very clean and well presented. The garden was lovely and we particularly enjoyed watching the wildlife in the burn from the garden! The area is fantastic for enjoying nature and family activities. We would definitely recommend staying here for a couple or small family.
Fiona was warm and welcoming and available when needed whilst also providing us our own space and freedom to come and go as needed. We stayed at The Smiddy for three nights. The property is excellent, so warm and welcoming. There was even a brand new kitchen! The property was stocked with everything we needed. Fiona was brilliant and took us through all we needed to know. It was very conveniently situated and we only wish we could have stayed longer.
