Playa Caribe 7 offers a refined third-floor stay with panoramic views of Half Moon Bay. Located in the north tower, this corner condo overlooks turquoise waters from its spacious terrace while also offering jungle views from both bedrooms.

The Master Suite includes a king bed, ensuite bath, and private balcony. The guest room has two double beds, its own bath, and a balcony with a tranquil jungle outlook. With space for six, it’s ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends. Central AC cools all bedrooms and living spaces.

The living and dining areas are open and comfortable, leading to a large furnished terrace where guests can dine, read, or simply enjoy the view. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals at home. Professionally decorated, the condo balances elegance with a relaxed coastal feel.

Amenities include daily housekeeping, concierge support, purified water, beach towels, parking, and 24-hour security. Guests also enjoy access to a pool, BBQ grill, loungers, and an outdoor shower.

The condo is set in Akumal’s gated Half Moon Bay community, walkable to Yal Ku Lagoon, Akumal Bay, restaurants, and shops. The shoreline is a mix of soft sand and coral reef, great for snorkeling. For exploring ruins, cenotes, or nearby Riviera Maya towns, a rental car or private driver is recommended.

Half Moon Bay’s reef means water shoes are recommended for swimming. Playa Caribe is a non-smoking property known for its excellent service and comfort. Daily housekeeping service is provided. Parking, beach towels, and purified water are provided. No elevator.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

Perfect for Us

We loved the vibe of this place...colorful, tidy and relaxed. It was great having access to the bikes and the go cart. We would 100% stay at Playa Caribe again!

A lovely very large suite with 2 large bedrooms and 2 large full bathrooms. Nicely furnished large living areas with a beautiful balcony that could seat 4 to 6 comfortably overlooking the pool and the ocean. Great management, responsive staff and amazing daily housekeeping.Location is great. A short drive or a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and shops of Akmul. But even better, a couple of great restaurants within a few minute walk. Just to the south is Buena Vida. Beach front restaurant with great ocean views, swings at the bar, and great food. A short walk of a couple of minutes to the north is Cowboy Surf. A great terrace, super food and service.All accept credit cards, but tips in cash are best.And almost directly across the road is Midway. A small grocery store that has a few of everything. Beer, wine, liquor, snacks, groceries, etc. All at very reasonable prices and at much less than the General Store by the resorts in Akmul. But if you walk the 15 minutes to Akmul you will find many nice little restaurants offering everything from pizza to fresh seafood.Be aware that the apartment is a 3rd floor walk up, but worth it for the ocean view.The pool is small but lovely. Never crowded and we were mostly the only ones there. No silly reserving chairs with towels or such!Highly recommended!Rick and MaryThe Blue Mountains Ontario, Canada

Not sure how the area is going to deal with that, but it really impacts accessibility to the ocean. It was the only thing that was disappointing. Everything else was fabulous.

The water got to Luke warm for the shower but with the heat outside it was not bad. We have 4 kids and the 6 of us were very comfortable. Plus games for the kids. I wish the seaweed was cleaned up more often but that is normal for the area.

Perfectly situated in the middle of Half Moon Bay, walking distance to the lagoon, La Buena Vida and La Lunita restaurants and right near the little convenience mart. Condo #7, where we stayed, was beautifully appointed, immaculate and the view was outstanding. The staff was so friendly and helpful too! Did not want to leave!!!

The main suggestions for improvement to the condo would be to add blackout draperies for bedrooms and a handrail for the steps in the building. He was always asking if we were good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our unit was well stocked, super clean, and beautifully maintained. The beds were SO comfortable. I’ve never slept better in a rental. We were walking distance into Akumal Bay and Yal ku. The beach area is plenty big and had nice areas to lounge. The pool was large enough for our kids, and never too busy. We would absolutely return to Playa Caribe!

The property is exactly as the pictures show. The property is gorgeous. We felt very spoiled. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning from the front deck and the sunset from the back desk. There is daily housekeeping service, which we did not expect and the welcome basket was a really cool touch. This unit is decorated beautifully and the layout very comfortable. The pool is cozy, perhaps a bit cloudy, but every effort is made the keep the property spotless. The beach was littered with seaweed but should be expected here. There is a small story across the street and there are several restaurants within walking distance. The community is gated so you will feel safe, and the property has a security person at night in the event you need anything. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Pool was enjoyable with great sunlight. My only negative comment would be to clean the beach daily. We picked up alot of trash and placed it up by the wall and let them know. It wasnt plicked up for 2 days. There was little sargassum, but still could have been cleaned up. They just moved it around. The beaches next door in either side were cleaned daily.

A pool and snorkeling right outside your door is great and only about a mile walk into town. Best onion rings ever at Turtle Bay Cafe! Our unit had everything - lots of towels, blender, juicer, coffeemaker, storage containers, good knives, hair dryers, coolers an even some sunscreen. Not crazy about the tons of Sargasso seaweed. It really got heavy on the shore towards the end of our week much earlier in the season than expected - it doesn't stick to you & the water is great once you get beyond the seaweed. Think of it as a free skin exfoliation treatment.hehehe. Playa Caribe staff was super nice and helpful, too.

The property management team is friendly, accommodating and caring. The unit is clean and inviting. There is a beautiful cross breeze that moves through the unit when you choose to keep the sliding doors open. You also have the option of AC which keeps everyone cool and happy. The kitchen is fully stocked. It has every kitchen appliance you would want to use for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is free parking with the unit. You are walking distance to great restaurants, stores and shopping. Thank you for a wonderful holiday stay.

The rooms were spotless, the kitchen well stocked, the staff was fantastic to communicate with and responsive to requests. They all went above and beyond to make sure our stay was absolutely top notch. Pool and beach were well maintained, the golf cart we rented was fun, the tour they arranged for us with JP for a Cenote was the highlight of our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

We traveled with our two teen girls and enjoyed every second of it. Bedding and towels were luxurious. Staff so helpful. Sunrise yoga and coffee on the front balcony overlooking the ocean and a drink on the back deck watching the sun set over the jungle in the evening. Did not want to leave. This was our 4th trip to akumal, first stay at this rental and we will be back for sure. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us.
