Enjoy this charming lakefront cottage located on the desirable West Side of Cedar Creek Lake on private Lovers Lane, only 60 miles from downtown Dallas! The home is an entertainers dream with covered redwood decks cooled by ceiling fans and a breeze off the lake! Steps lead to a stone fire pit and gas grill overlooking a beautifully treed and landscaped yard sloping down to the lake. This home boasts a fantastic boathouse with large party deck to tie up your boat/jet skis, stargaze, or to watch the gorgeous sunsets over the lake! The two decker boat dock can comfortably hold the entire family. While some may want to relax on the decks with a cup of coffee or a cocktail, or swim and fish off the dock, others can enjoy a family adventure on the calm waters in the complementary canoe, or launch your own personal water toys off the private neighborhood boat launch.

Inside you will notice the breathtaking, panoramic open water view through the large wall of windows, while enjoying the ambiance set by the vaulted cedar ceiling and beams, wood-burning fireplace and beautiful decor. The open concept living/dining areas lead directly to the outdoors, so you are only steps from the lake! The living area is airy and comfortable with plenty of seating for a crowd, movie or game night, yet has a few separate areas for reading, eating or relaxing. The well-stocked galley kitchen has plenty of storage and is open to the living and dining areas, including an eat-in bar all while showcasing the gorgeous view of the lake! There is a laundry room with full-sized W/D for your use. Three large bedrooms are designed with comfort and function in mind, with chairs, hooks, lighting, soothing colors, and spots to put your clothes and suitcases. The master has a view of the lake, private entrance, reading nook and private bath while the second bedroom has a queen bed with a peek-a-boo lake view, comfy chair and plenty of storage. The bunkroom is set up for kids or a second family with a day bed/trundle that pulls out as a second twin bed or pops up to make a king bed, as well as two full sized bunk beds complete with designer linens. There is a large closet, and a TV/DVD/Wii available for entertainment. A main bathroom with tub and shower is located off the hallway.

In addition to all of the water views and activities, this cottage offers a great location to venture off to Canton for a day at the flea market, Malakoff for antiquing, or Seven Points and Gun Barrel for a night out for dinner, bingo or the recreation park for the kids (big and small). The wonderful, private location and calm waters can provide the backdrop for a romantic anniversary or couples getaway, a holiday retreat, or a nice family vacation any time of the year. Either way, you'll make unforgettable memories at the Cottage on Lovers Lane!

Weekend Get Away

I was looking for a weekend get away with the family and ran across this gem of a lake house. The cottage is warm and welcoming, it was perfect the kids and I to relax before school started. Love the view and the time we spent here.

This was my second stay at the Lake house. I just love it here, it is so homey and peaceful. The owners updated all the kitchen appliances and they look great. Just like last time we had everything we needed, this one of the best stocked rentals I have rented. Neal was a pleasure to deal with. We had a perfect weekend and I highly recommend you give this Lake house a try! I will be back, thank you.

Girls or Family retreat at lake on Lovers Lane

Ohhhhhh take me away, back to this precious lake cottage! Plenty of room for a girls or family get together. Sun, shade, water, fire pit, beautiful sunrise and breathtaking sunsets can be yours. The house is very clean and comfortable, and the owners are fabulous too! Come make your own memories soon!

Canton Visit

House was in a great location on the lake and is very well kept. Everything we needed during our stay was available and put to good use. We enjoyed the deck on the dock for beautiful sunsets every evening of our stay. As an added bonus we were only 35 minutes or so away from the Canton Flea market, which was a big hit with my wife. Perfect for a family getaway!

We stayed at the house for a long weekend and were so happy we choose this property. The house had everything we needed to make this a great weekend. They included every thing we needed and many extras, not found in most rentals. We used the double deck of the dock, the canoe and the water daily. We grilled out and cooked our meals in the kitchen which was stocked with everything we needed right down to spices. The owner Neal was a pleasure to deal with and checked in with us to make sure everything was what we expected. Will definitely rent from them again. Thanks for a great family getaway!

Perfect Lake Cottage For Relaxing!

We had a great long weekend at the cottage! The cottage is nicely decorated, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing escape! We enjoyed grilling/cooking our meals so we could savor every moment of the beautiful lake views! Grocery stores and bait shops are close, if supplies are needed; restaurants are also in the area. The owners are detail oriented and just a text away if anything is needed. Everything was ready for our stay! We didn't want to leave this beautiful rental!

Perfect house for a weekend getaway!

We loved staying at this house! The house is spacious, the beds are VERY comfortable(the sheets are very nice, better than my sheets at home). It rained most of our weekend, but we were able to sit on the porch and relax and talk! It was very cozy. There's also a dock with hammocks and the owner had kayaks for us to rent as well. I would definitely reccomend this house for your vacation!

Lovers Lane Cottage

We rented this property for a 50th birthday girl's getaway - The accommodations were absolutely perfect! The house was very comfortable and clean. The view of the lake is beautiful. The patio/dock and fire pit added to our fun on this beautiful January Weekend. The owner Neal kept in touch with us and made sure we were comfortable and wanted for nothing. Thank you again for a beautiful cottage and fantastic weekend! We will definitely be renting again!!!!

A Wonderful & Fun Family Weekend!

We fell in Love with this beautiful "Cottage on the Lake"! The View of the Lake from the Front windows is Incredible! The Home is inviting, cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with lots of room. We had everything we needed - it was the perfect setting for a Fun Family Weekend with my 3 Adult children. Enjoyed every moment, and created some wonderful memories...playing Board games, cards, fishing off the dock, cooking together in the well equipped kitchen, enjoying a glass of wine on the top deck watching the most stunning sunsets, steaks on the grill, coffee & conversation on the patio overlooking the Lake. We will definitely be coming back. I can't wait to book another Family Weekend here!

A Week at the Lake

Took the family and had a great time. The lake was a blast. We were able to tie our boat to the dock in the backyard. There was very little traffic, we had the lake to ourselves. The house is very nice and comfortable. I would recommend it highly.

Even Better Than Advertised!!

Spent a glorious weekend at this outstanding lake house! Superb lake location with deep, clean water right at dock. House itself extremely well-appointed and decorated - felt like a large bed & breakfast! Each room and bathroom VERY clean and well supplied and stocked with necessities. Owners obviously it significant thought into making there guests comfortable. There were 4 in our party and the place was HUGE for us - and could easily accommodate large groups. We loved our stay and look forward to booking another trip to this perfect lake house getaway in the future.

Organizing the stat was very simple as Neal does a fantastic job of making sure you have everything you need to have an enjoyable experience. The dock is everything you would want for a lake house dock with hammocks, plenty of chairs and layout beds. The interior of the house could not be more of a comforting environment. I can't express enough how highly I recommend you choose to stay at this location.

Great family getaway close to Dallas

My husband and I brought our two grown sons, their wives and three grandchildren for a family weekend getaway. The beautiful house had everything we needed in every room. Everyone caught fish off the dock. The swimming was fun, great deck and bbq area, smores on the fire pit. The owner was very helpful and always responded promptly. An awesome time was had by all. I highly recommend this house.

Wonderful lakehouse

Wonderfully maintained house, in a great spot on the lake -- close to Dallas (on the west side), with open water views, yet a protected (ie calm water) part of the lake. Great back deck, and party deck over the dock. We shared the house with another family, had a wonderful weekend. Owners are very helpful, and easy to reach. Would come back again anytime.

Perfect Couple Getaway

This home was perfect for our anniversary celebration! The minute we walked in it felt warm and inviting. We loved relaxing in this very clean, comfortable place. Canoeing, hanging out on the decks, barbequing and cooking (in the well stocked kitchen) made the stay pass too quickly. The view is beautiful and the party deck makes it even better. The social spaces were great as we are big card players and could play inside or outside with plenty of room. We even fished off the dock and caught a few catfish. The owners are very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. We will definitely be back! With the kids …….. OR just maybe without them. ☺

Sister Time at the Lake

Spectacular water views and charming house! Decorated with a designer touch, house has everything you need and more for a great vacation or weekend. Kitchen has whatever you need to cook, bake or grill your meals. Great deck to either grill out or to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. The owners provided a canoe to use and boy did we! It was so much fun exploring the lake. The house also has a boat dock and an amazing party deck with views that go on forever. I can only imagine how much fun it would be during the summer. Can't wait to go back and try out the party deck! They even left firewood which came in handy for the cooler evenings. Lastly, I would highly recommend this property as it was beautiful, clean and the owners were a pleasure to deal with, thank you so much.
