Good location & very responsive

Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward.

Thank you for your comment, but there must have been a misunderstanding, we said that you could not leave the door open, so that the air conditioning would work properly. If the air conditioning is turned off, the door may be open.

No cleaning after grill party in court

There were three flats and ours did not have the 55m2 said. It was about 32m2. When 16 young spaniards did have a grill party Friday night, there was no cleaning afterwards. I was afraid of rats so I spend one hour Saturday morning to clear up the left mess (with bones on the floor and bread in beer lakes). Wednesday someone cleaned the court. The advertisement said the hosts would speak English. At place there was the mother of the host who only spoke Portugese. We had communication problems. I could not reach the English speaking hosts.

We were met by a lovely lady that spoke only Portuguese. We used Google translate the best we could to figure out where we park. The cleaning lady was there and she spoke some English. Parking is down the hill and around the corner on the street. It is a short walk to the place where we parked. We never had a problem finding a spot. The apartment we were given only had a few pictures in the listing. Most of the pictures must be for the other unit. The unit we had would be better suited for 2 people, not the 3 we had. My sister got the futon in the living room to sleep. From another review there are 5 Spanish bachelors living in the other unit that are still there. They use the shared patio area every night and are quite loud until midnight or 1:00 AM. My husband and I were in the bedroom and didn’t hear them. My sister was kept awake by them. The apartment was clean and had enough for us to prepare our own meals. The price per night is good. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel. The listing said it had a washing machine but it has a washing service for an additional fee. We were counting on the washer and were disappointed it wasn’t true to the listing. Our host was very kind and responsive. A good budget place to stay.

Thank you for your comment, but don't live on-site, in another accommodation, a group of five Spanish singles. The ones who were there were also tourists. The house we assigned to you was the one you reserved; we don't exchange rooms.

Nous avons passé 10 nuits a porto.Le logement était conforme a l'annonce d'un calme absolu proche de tout d'où on peut faire tout a pied ou prendre le bus a proximité .notre voiture était garée a proximité sur un immense parking a 5mns a pied.Encore un voyage dans ce pays où l'on se sent bien nous reviendrons !!Muito obrigado

ancien quartier en sursis probable

Petit logement (35 m2), très petite chambre car les deux lits de 90 cm de large sont assemblés (il y a à peine la place pour en faire le tour), la terrasse agréable pour petit-dejeuner ou dîner. Le grille-pain est en fait un grill à panini/croque-monsieur et la cafetiere une cafetière à dosettes. Il manque un ou deux vrais couteaux de cuisine pour que ce soit parfait (pour trancher les viandes fumées et autres). Les rues environnantes sont très étroites, le stationnement donc difficile. En tout cas, dépêchez-vous car vu les immeubles en construction aux environs, il est probable que ce petit quartier encore authentique est condamné à plus ou moins brève échéance.

Unacceptable.

In the beginning there were some technical problems which were solved at the same day. The central heating didn’t function during our stay!! There was a stand alone heater but that was only enough for the living room. It was too cold in the bathroom and the kitchen. We asked for another heater but that would give problems with the capacity of the electricity. The owner shouldn’t rent the house in winter without a functioning central heating!

agréable

appartement bien situé pour visiter porto à pied( pour les bons marcheurs). appartement propre et décoration moderne,super douche hydromassage,terrasse très agréable. la dame qui nous a accueilli, sympathique et bienveillante malgré la barrière de la langue. les matelas surement à changer ,et un peu plus de vaisselles.

Paulo/teresa are very friendly and helpful. Local grocery store up the street with super food, reasonable wine prices. Large super market 15 min walk. Apt is close to the port factories, river cruises and within walking distance of the old town. Great restaurant just down the street. You must be in good shape for walking, Gaia & Porto are quite hilly. All in all a good visit . paul/wendy, lambton shores, ON canada.

Porto est magnifique,tout les jours des choses a faire et a voir

une petite cour commune aux autres appartements. le logement est petit mais trés bien pour deux; un lit gigantesque, une tv;mais un frigo qui fuit et qui est moisis, le four ne fonctionne pas et attention aux fuites de gaz avec le 2 ième bouton . Il n'y as pas beaucoup d’ustensiles de cuisine et de verres ce qui est dommage,ni de bouilloire. La machine a laver est dans une autre pièce et on doit régler 5€ pour un lavage. mais ils m ont offert la table a repasser et le fer pendant mon séjour car j avais pris 14 jours. Il vaut mieux connaitre la langue ou l anglais car ils ne parlent pas Français La dame qui vous reçoit est très charmante,malgré qu elle ne parle pas au français.. .

Merci pour votre commentaire, car nous ne parlons pas français, nous utiliserons google translator, nous nous excusons s'il y a des erreurs dans la traduction. Nous nous excusons parce que personne jusqu'à présent n'a signalé ces défauts. Nous avons confirmé que le poêle est défectueux et nous appelons le technicien aujourd'hui pour le réparer. Aussi, nous allons mettre plus de vaisselle dans la cuisine. Merci et bonne chance.

Superbe vacance !

Ce petit bout de tranquillité au milieu d'une ville comme Porto est tres appréciable. Le lieux se décompose en 3 logements distincts. Nous avions celui du fond, très agréable, suffisamment grand, très propre avec toutes les machines nécessaire ( frigo, micro onde, four et plaques ). La petite cour commune est très agréable pour dejeuner et malgré que les 3 logements soient occupés nous étions très souvent seul à profiter de cette espace. Cette maison ce situe en pleins coeur de Porto dans le quartier des caves ( ce qui est parfait ) et a 10min du fleuve Douro donc du quartier actif de la ville avec restaurant en pagaille et concert. Teresa et Paulo sont des hôtes géniaux toujours au petit soins pour leurs invités et très disponible. Bref des vacances parfaites ! :) PS : Ne laissez jamais les clefs sur l'interieur de la porte. JAMAIS ! On en a fait les frais et Paulo a du utiliser une radiographie pour ouvrir la porte... c’était gênant car il nous avait prévenu dès le départ

Très beau séjour à Porto

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Paulo et Thérésa, hôtes très accueillants et chaleureux, qui disposent en plus de cet appartement des appartements plus grands. L'appartement était très propre et calme, à proximité de toutes les caves de dégustation de Porto, et du fabuleux quai de Gaia, où on traverse à pied par le pont Eiffel, pour nous emmener au quai de Ribeira et donc de Porto. Quartier où il est facile de se garer gratuitement et en toute sécurité. Merci pour ce séjour.

Un quartier authentique mais un logement trop petit pour 3 adultes

J'ai apprécié l'authenticité du quartier et l'accueil sympathique de la maman. Le logement était très propre ainsi que le linge fourni. Par contre, j'avais sélectionné ce logement sur le critère de 2 chambres indiquées dans l'annonce, pour préserver nos intimités respectives. En fait il n'y en n'avait qu'une et l'une d'entre nous a dû dormir dans le salon. J'ai trouvé que le logement était trop petit pour 3 personnes adultes.

O casal é extremamente simpático. A casa é muito pequenina e aluguei pensando que a área externa era privativa. Uma vizinhança barulhenta... O rádio é ligado pela manhã em alto volume e, na última noite as pessoas conversavam como se fora dia, isto à 1 h da madrugada, sem a mínima tentativa de falar baixo.

Bien situé et terrasse agréable

Un séjour très agréable dans ce petit appartement au sud de Porto. Nous allions au centre à pied en empruntant le pont et en passant par le quartier des caves de Porto. Un séjour en famille agréable et un accueil sympathique. Un bon souvenir!
