Beautiful Riverfront Home-Quiet and Private-Leavenworth-Family Friendly-WI-FI

Wake up to nothing but nature. Watch the sun rising in the morning, with the glistening reflection of the flowing river sparkling on the walls. This unique property is located on a private road very close to Leavenworth, that even some of the locals don't know about. The property provides easy low bank access to the Wenatchee River. You will even enjoy watching occasional kayak and rafters passing by.

The natural setting provides opportunities to view wildlife, float the river, hike, bike, ski, and/or just relax and take it all in.

This home has three separate sleeping areas, a bedroom with a queen on the main floor, a queen bed in the loft, and there is a double bed in the lower level bedroom. This home is equipped with everything you'll need to enjoy a perfect get away.

**Note-Due to Chelan County codes we are set to a FIRM maximum limit of six people. The county mandates we follow the guidelines and limitations based on our septic system and our Tier 2 status. Six people includes children of ANY age. We will strictly adhere to this policy.

Family getaway

Fourth time staying here at this fantastic river cabin. You can walk across the bridge and launch your tubes to float down the river. We love this place and will be back again!

Beautiful Home and Property on the River

We keep coming back to this beautiful cabin on the river. Private, peaceful, clean and very comfortable. We love spending time on the deck watching and listening to the river. It is close to town and so many hiking choses. Hosts Traci and Werner are wonderful.

Perfect cabin on the river!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It’s in the best location - 5 minutes to town and all the fun of Leavenworth, but you feel a million miles away from it all. Wake up to the peace and quiet of nature and the river sounds along with beautiful views. We loved the cozy wood stove, ping pong table and game collection, the large dining room table, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Tracie and Werner were kind and accommodating hosts and quickly helped with any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Beautiful cozy home for our family vacation

The house is beautiful and on a great location, 5-minute drive to downtown Leavenworth but you still get all the privacy. Tracie and Werner were great hosts and replied to my questions instantly. We definitely have plans for another stay in the near future!

Amazing Christmas

We absolutely loved staying in this cabin on the river. The views were amazing and the cabin was so cozy! It was perfect for our party of six. The owners are wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay magical!!! We will definitely come back!!

Great Place to Relax with Family

Very comfortable home. Loved being right on the water with an area to get in and cool off in the river right there! Beautiful view from the floor to ceiling windows. We were able to walk with our tubes to where floaters get into the river - great location!

Beautiful and Clean

This home is so clean, the furnishings and decor are amazing. The riverfront property is spacious, and the river was lovely to sit by and relax. This home is easy to find, private, but not far from town. The many stairs were challenging, but gave us lots of exercise.

Beautiful luxurious cabin in an awesome location. Was very well stocked and had everything you'd expect plus so much more; the available table games and books about local wildlife were a nice touch. The backyard area to the creek was also beautiful and much bigger than the photos show imo. Tracie was also an awesome host. I actually booked the wrong dates initially, and she quickly adjusted them for me no problem. She is on top of things and is very fast to respond.

My wife and I were chatting that this is our fourth (or fifth) stay at this cabin. What Tracie and Werner offer is precisely what we need in a mountain town. Close enough to the town, yet quick and secluded. The property description is 100% accurate - right down to the ping-pong table. We will be back!

Wonderful location!

Very convenient location for visiting Leavenworth and the surrounding area, just a couple of minutes away from downtown and some excellent hiking trails. The river was mesmerizing! There was plenty of space for our group of 6, and we had everything we needed. The hosts were excellent and very responsive. The river was a bit cold and fast for swimming or floating at this time, so it would be nice to come back for that some time in August. Overall very highly recommended!

Simply the Best!!!

This is the third year in a row that we've booked time to stay in Leavenworth over the Holidays and hands down was the best thus far thanks to the location/condition of this property AND thanks to Werner and Tracie. From start to finish, Tracie was super communicative, accommodating, and just plain helpful in assisting us w/ the planning of our trip. Check in/check out was seamless and the property itself was EXACTLY as described.....great size, clean, charming, and excellent location being right on the river and only a 5-minute drive into town. Bottom line, if you and your family are looking for a Grade A experience, this property and its owners will NOT disappoint. :-)

The Perfect October Weekend

The privacy of this home is incredible and must be experienced to be believed. The beautiful home is nestled against the bank, quiet except for the sound of the Wenatchee river and the wind blowing through the Ponderosa Pines. The morning sun comes through the two story windows revealing the flowing river and filling the great space with warm light. The rising of the full moon was dramatic. Outdoor seating by the river or by the fire pit is lovely. Again, so private, only the sounds of nature. Inside the home is equally awesome. Lovely dishes, glassware, silverware in abundance. We could tell it was a 'cook's kitchen.' It had everything, even foil, saran wrap and parchment! The house was shiny clean and bright. Even my 13 year old grandson commented on the rooms being 'covid clean.' Thick, white towels abundant, snuggly warm covers. Couches were big and comfy and cozy - natural indoor gathering place. The home is decorated with family pieces - art, quilts, wooden sculptures. We look forward to returning for the spring thaw with the river gushing, a warm summer evening by the fire pit, and this winter for snow. We think this private riverfront home, minutes from Leavenworth, a wonderful, retreat like space for each season.

Werner's parents migrated from Switzerland and have owned vacation property on this quiet secluded road since the 1970's. Back then the family put on many kayak races on this stretch of the river, and have shared their rustic cabin (next door) with many local and international guests.

Werner Jr. and Tracie were married in 1986. We were fortunate enough to purchase this property in 1999, and create additional family memories, while raising our two beautiful daughters. We built the home ourselves on weekends while living in Mukilteo. Every spare moment was was spent in Leavenworth creating lasting memories for our family and friends.

Werner Jr., with his father, started Werner Paddles (manufacturing canoe and kayak paddles). He moved on from Werner Paddles and Werner and Tracie started a home based Screen Printed business together. At the end of 2021 Werner and Tracie retired and moved into the original family cabin upstream of Haus am Fluss. We enjoy nature and the outdoors; running, kayaking, x-country skiing, hiking, and traveling, You'll be able to tell by the hand made furniture and wood trimmings, Werner likes a good project.

We've named our home Haus am Fluss, which is Swiss German for 'House on River.' We genuinely hope you enjoy your time at our home. We welcome you to absorb the tranquility of this natural setting, and at the end of your stay, wish you didn't have to leave. That will mean we've succeeded in sharing our traditional Swiss families' values; sharing, caring and welcoming others.

Why they chose this property

Werner and I were fortunate to have enjoyed the little rustic family property next door (upstream) while growing up. Werner even proposed to me in the family cabin on a cold, but beautiful winter day!! Now we own and live in the little family cabin as well, opening up the "big" cabin (Haus am Fluss) to others to enjoy. This peaceful area has been the one place that has grounded our souls. Everyday we wake up feeling fresh and rejuvenated; ready to tackle the busy week ahead. The sound and easy access of the river, the wildlife, and the remoteness (but very close proximity to Leavenworth), makes this property unique and special.
