The location was great for hiking-Eight Mile, Lake Valhalla, Lake Colchuk, and the wall at Index were completed. A nice cold plunge in Wenatchee River with a hot tub amongst the pines off a deck with outdoor seating. Close enough to Leavenworth to enjoy a night out and come back to some quiet. Comfortable and clean inside with a nicely stocked kitchen and great island. Coffee delivery options as well. The couches were meant for relaxing and group movie night. We’d love to return to enjoy outdoor fire when the ban is off. Would also bring kayaks to get on the river. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Much kindness. Gwen

Very comfortable home with great proximity to both skiing and dining/shopping in Leavenworth. The main living/dining area was spacious and well equipped. The hot tub was fabulous. We enjoyed that trail system that snaked thru the community as well.

This is a hard review for me to write because I overall genuinely enjoyed the property. The property and house itself- 15 out of 10. The house is super cute and clean and the location is PRIME. We relaxed on the hammock in the sun and it was so beautiful and relaxing. My family loved the access to the river as well. But it’s important to know #1 don’t rely on the pictures for planning your headcount and #2 you will absolutely be watched/monitored. The house has 8 beds- but you’re only allowed 6 guests. When I realized this I was upfront about how this affected my plans and scrambled to plan around the discrepancy. We made it work shuffling around my guests and sending 2 guests away to a separate location at 10pm. But around 5pm the owner tried calling my cell twice and when he couldn’t get through he called the land line in the home to get me to answer. He then started his sentence with “I see you…” and called out the vehicles we had parked. This definitely made all of my guests uncomfortable for the trip. Outside of being watched/monitored and the discrepancy in beds to guests allowed- the property really is wonderful. Just be prepared

Melanie, You booked the home for 5 guests. Our home has 3 bedrooms with a maximum occupancy of 6 guests. The guest count has nothing to do with the number of beds. The county of Chelan caps us with 2 guests per bedroom. Had you requested to book with 8 guest and not 5 your request would have been denied. When you contacted us, the day before your arrival we told you that we could not accommodate the extra guests. You know this is true because you called Chelan county to conform. They called us to warn us that you would likely try and bring extra guests. This, was why we checked the camera that covers the parking area. You not only had extra guests, you had a dog. We tried twice to call to discuss this. You ignored both calls. We could have evicted you at that point for violating the occupancr rules. We didn't. We made a choice to allow to stay and did not even charge for the dog. Choosing to write a negative review because we were adhering to rules established, and enforced by the county is your choice. Hopefully, in the future, you will rent a property that can legally accommodate your party.

Great place!

We loved the house, the outdoor fire pit and the hot tub. There are good views of the river from the deck and the trails throughout the community were fun to explore.

Super relaxing cabin stay

This cabin had everything we needed! There was a well stocked kitchen and great decor throughout.We loved sitting on the deck and walking to the beautiful river for a relaxing afternoon. We highly recommend a stay here!

Whiskey River Retreat
