About this property
Lightbluehouse in Sicily by the sea
Casazzurra is a charming retreat in the heart of Sampieri’s historic center, just a few steps from the sea, along a quiet street parallel to the lively promenade. Here, Mediterranean tradition meets modern comfort, offering guests an authentic and unforgettable experience.
Inside, the spaces are welcoming and bright: a living room with a sofa that can also serve as a single bed, two double bedrooms — one with an additional bed — and two bathrooms, one spacious and fully equipped, the other more intimate with sink and wc. The house can accommodate up to five people, with the possibility of adding cribs and amenities for little ones. The kitchen corner is an invitation to conviviality, equipped with everything needed to cook and share moments of flavor.
Every detail is designed for comfort: plasma TVs, ceiling fans, air conditioning, a safe, and even a humidifying fan in the living room. Families will find a stroller, high chair, and many thoughtful touches that make their stay easier and more enjoyable.
The inner courtyard is a Mediterranean gem: tastefully furnished, reminiscent of an Andalusian patio, shaded naturally by a lush bougainvillea. Here you can cook, dine outdoors, or simply relax under the starry sky, with the convenience of a hot shower. Free Wi-Fi keeps you connected at all times.
The landscape surrounding Casazzurra is enchanting: a pine forest, Mediterranean scrub, a dramatic cliff, and a long beach of fine sand enriched by rare dunes, all dominated by the ancient Pisciotto furnace, famous as the set of “Inspector Montalbano.”
The location is ideal: just steps away you’ll find shops, bars, restaurants, a supermarket, newsstand, hairdresser, nightclub, beach clubs, wellness center, sports fields, and the small harbor where you can buy the freshest fish. Marina di Ragusa, with its brand-new tourist port and vibrant nightlife, is also within easy reach.
Casazzurra is the perfect starting point to explore the Baroque Valley and UNESCO World Heritage cities such as Modica, Ragusa, Ispica, and Noto. From here, excursions can take you to Siracusa, Palazzolo Acreide, Caltagirone, Taormina, Agrigento, and Piazza Armerina, or into nature at the Ispica Caves and the Irminio and Vendicari reserves. For adventurers, there’s Mount Etna to climb, and from the nearby port of Pozzallo, a catamaran to Malta. Guided tours in the Val di Noto are available with licensed guides.
