The property is in a beautiful location although a car is needed. The property was clean tidy comfortable and well equipment. Ideal for a get away from it all break.
Dollydrops cottage is very clean and beautifully presented. We only stayed one night because I had an appointment in St Neots the next day, however I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Wouldn't recommend this cottage to anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are very steep and the bathroom is downstairs.
Great place to stay with excellent access to Cambridge and local attractions. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well equipped and ideal for a couple. We appreciated the breakfast provisions and good communications with our hosts.
Dollydrops Cottage is absolutely perfect! I felt like I stepped back in time. This cottage is loved and cared for. We felt safe and cozy. Communication with the owners was clear and easy. Would stay here again!
What a gem of a place. So warm and comfortable with everything you need. The log fire was amazing. Lovely big bath with plenty of hot water. Look forward to booking again.
This is a very small, very cosy cottage. We got helpful directions, from a very friendly landlord. The cottage is Impeccably tidy, with comfortable beds.
The stairs are very steep, but it is of course a very old cottage. We liked our stay!
Loved the cottage, such a charming retreat. Hosts were very friendly. Stairs are a little steep and narrow and the bath downstairs, so as seniors, we elected to leave our suitcases downstairs. But that in no way detracted from our visit. Would love to come back.

Cosy little cottage
- the hight of the ceiling should be mentioned, as my husband, with his 1.83 meter needed to bend the whole time, which isnt healthy for the back. He was very careful not to bump his head to the rough beams as it could cause serious wounds.
- whenever water is used, the kettle fills itself very noisely, which can be quite disturbing
- two of us had a sore throat the 4 days of our stay, possibly connected to the ventilation of the cottage.
- please add scissors for in the kitchen

Dear Maria,
We do make it clear in the cottage description the low ceiling and exposed beams and they are included in the photos.
Whilst it is never pleasant to catch a cold, I’m not sure blaming a cottage is fair. Every room has a window not sure what further ventilation you would expect in a 17th century cottage.
Whilst we are sorry your stay was not to your expectations we pride ourselves on providing clean and comfortable accommodation in a rural cottage.
Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach London und Cambridge
Das kleine Cottage wird von freundlichen Nachbarn betreut, es eignet sich wegen seiner Lage gut als Zwischenstopp für Ausflüge nach London und Cambridge.
Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable, everything we needed for a short stay with our dog. Particularly liked the enclosed paddock available to exercise dogs in, and Milo very much enjoyed it. Would love to return later in the year. Hosts very friendly and helpful too.

Nice, but under-equipped
The cottage was warm and comfortable, but we found a few basic items missing that would have made life a bit easier. There was a table to eat at, but only one chair so we had to use chairs from the garden to have a family meal. There could also be a few more items to stock the kitchen area too, such as a small supply of bin bags or oven proof dishes for cooking.

Sorry you did not find all the amenities your wanted. Oven proof dishes are kept in the corner cupboard and extra foldable chairs are under the stairs.
Stayed here with my teenage twin daughters and our dog. The back garden was perfect for sitting enjoying a coffee in the mornings, the cottage is well equipped, and lovely and warm. The only thing I would recommend is a rubber slip mat for the bath….one of my daughters fell over as the bath is very slippery and landed on her ribs on of the roll top.

Very steep stairs. Very busy road 3’ from front door
Property excellent apart from steep stairs. Location so close to very busy road meant very noisy from 6am to 9 pm, also bus parked outside window so no privacy in lounge. Need great care leaving house due to fast traffic only inches away. Great shame, it spoilt lovely house otherwise.
Had a good time at the cottage. Weather was good so used the back garden a lot. House had all we needed. Travelled locally and did some walking. Enjoyed the area and would come back.
Very good booking service (first visit to the site). Information given good and clear. Finding cottage from the A1 was abit tricky when you do not have satnav, but once found a different route out was ok. Most enjoyable stay in lovely cottage.
Although we only stayed a night 5pm to 10am, we felt very welcome and it was exactly the break we needed... A nice touch was the little attention to detail bits like a milk, croissants etc... Made all the difference to our stay! We will definitely visit again...
