About this property

Quiet and Comfortable Condo Near Turtle Beach on Siesta Key

Cozy Cove is a small condominium complex of six total units, located on the south end of Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida. The complex is on the Gulf side inlet along Blind Pass with a dock at the back of the property where you will often see fish jump and sometimes a manatee floating by.

Turtle Beach is approx. 10 minute walk down the street and offers a public boat launch, picnic and children's areas. There is a trolley stop for the free Siesta trolley. We have a 20' boat dock available for your use with the rental of this unit at no additional charge.

The pool is not heated.
Due to association rules, renters and guests are not permitted to bring pets.
Fishing is allowed off the pier; you have to check licensing requirements.
Boat trailers are not allowed to be parked in the lot, but trailer parking rental is available nearby. From the pass you have access to the Gulf and the intercoastal.

I mostly love how small the complex is, giving it a personal, private feel. The value in this rental is the location, the privacy, and the waterway. It is important to us that you know what to expect when you arrive because this unit is clean, private, and well stocked but this is not a luxury condo and our rates remain beneath those of newly remodeled units.

***Please note - Florida temperatures can reach extremely high heat indexes. Florida summers regularly have 90-100 degree days in the summer and even though our system was replaced in 2025, our HVAC contractors have advised us that 20 degrees below outside temps is a reasonable expectation for this condo. There are fans installed in every room to assist with cooling.***

Paradise getaway

What a great place to stay!Its cozy,clean and in the best location in the key.We loved the pool and had so much fishing right in our back yard.We rented a boat walking distance from the condo.Highly recommend!

Fun in Seista Key

Place was a perfect location. Only 400 yards from the free trolly stop. We used the trolley and Hopper service to get around. It was great since there is virtually no parking in the village and what parking there is is very pricy

Great condo for adults or families

Great spot stocked with extras for the kids and beach gear! Great location, 3 minute walk to the free trolley to go up the key, 10 minute walk to turtle Beach, dock on the property if you rent a boat/kayak (or want to fish?). Easy/shaded parking, and walking distance to a couple restaurants too. Pool was a bit cool in early May, but was comfortable after a couple 80 degree days. One consideration, all of the units in this building require going up a floor of stairs, no elevator. So accessibility could be a challenge for elderly or little kids on the stairs.

Could have let me know I was missing a step before I showed up to check in and you cancel me after

Did not get to see it. You cancelled me after I was there and called for my code to get into property. You could have emailed me the lease agreement when you requested my payment instead of letting me pay in full and cancel me after I show up. Was not aware I had to sign a lease. Why didn’t Vrbo let me know I missed this step? Hosts did try to help us find something else though.

Place needs some real TLC. Well stocked with all the necessities.

The area is really nice with the water at the rear of the property. The unit itself is in need of some TLC. There is floor molding missing, furniture is scratched and there was supposed to be a working TV in the bedroom. This was important to me because my husband had just finished radiation for cancer treatment and needed to rest periodically, and resting in the bedroom with TV was a preference in the choice of accomodations. The TV did not have a cable box. It had been damaged, but not replaced. Several lights did not work and one of the burners on stove didn't heat up well. On a positive side, the kitchen was well equipped with the necessities. While they were not brand new, the small appliances worked well and there were a lot of grocery staples already stocked. Also, the air conditioning worked very well and the unit was well cleaned. Internet access was easy to log onto and had a strong signal. I would consider staying again if some of these items received the attention they deserve.

Great location, great weather, the rest not so much.

I am a 77 year old college educated veteran, my wife a partially disabled 72 year old . We have been traveling for years and have never felt the need to review a place . We do now. We have been coming to Siesta Key since 1989 and love the area. It breaks our hearts to see the devastation that was left behind by the hurricanes and construction going on along with the poor people that can’t rebuild. My wife fractured her hip a week before we were supposed to make the trip and we contacted the owner to see what our options were. She was very gracious and said we could move our stay back if need be. Our orthopedic surgeon encouraged us to go. Since we are old fashioned I thought dealing with the owner was the best way. Big mistake! We first noticed there was debris on the deck from new gutters being put up To summarizeincluding a downspout. Minor problem. We cleaned it up, the view was great. Next the TV ‘s did not work and it was important for me to have on because of my wife,s condition needing rest. I called the owner and she walked me through fixing it for about a half an hour but it didn’t work. She said we were the first to have rented since the hurricane and this was Feb. To summarize it took us 14 days to get TV service with the owner finally coming and taking 31/2 hours to put in a new modem and bad connection. Next, no fire alarm - it was disconnected and on shelf. After 4 days I called Vrbo and an old man came out and I helped him put it in .Issues of cleanliness , sto

Great Stay!!

This place is in a great location walking distance from Turtle Beach Park and campground. The pool is nice and clean. We had plenty of beach needed stuff and towels. Overall I recommend this place and will come back every year as we stay at Turtle Beach a least ones every year. Thank you for sharing a great place!!

Nice condo that is close to the beach.

My family enjoyed the condominium, it is a short distance to the beach and there is a free trolley that will take you North to Siesta Beach which has white sand and clear water.

Very nice condo with plenty of room for lounging and dining. Condo was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The view out back was beautiful and the pool is well kept. Great location! Would gladly stay again!

Entire process was handled very well - Dana was quick to reply to any questions and offered good suggestions for area restaurants. If there’s any criticism it would simply be that the unit deserves some brightening up and updating. Location is great and the trolly service and Turtle Beach / kayaking is very walkable. I am sorry

The owner was helpful but was probably the only good thing ! When we first pulled up boards we’re falling off the balcony ! Was dirty anything we had to use dishes etc were very dirty and had to be washed , was disgusting to be honest . There were a couple weird bugs in there !! Bed collapsed in middle of night the very first night ( though the owner had fixed promptly) chair in living room a family member sat on and leg collapsed… there was so much hair left in the shower gross we had to clean to stay there and yet the two younger ones both got some kind of bites burning the night there . We were left a little gift for out anniversary we’re we’re there for ,,,, there was paint peeling and other stuff I guess u get the idea !!! A few hundred dollars spent in things that need to be fixed and perhaps a different cleaning crew and could have something I am sorry but stay away … if we had the means to go else where we would have

The location is awesome with multiple access points to Turtle Beach! Great pool on site too for the kiddos when the sea is too rough.

Cold pool!

I was so disappointed that the pool was not heated. Overall was fine, a few things that need to be fixed in the unit. Toaster was hardly working, dryer didn't stop when the door was opened so your clothes flew out, we never got the TV to work correctly as there were NO instructions, no lids for any of the saucepans. Beds were very comfortable and place was clean. Enjoyed being so close to Turtle's!

Easy to find with plenty of restaurants and free trolly service from Turtle Beach to the village with lots of stops in between. Beautiful view off of back of property to water inlet with beautiful birds and relaxing atmosphere. Would consider this property on a future visits and would make no hesitation recommending it to others

Perfect location on the Siesta Key. The shuttle bus got you to the north side and I stayed on the quite side of the Key.

We absolutely adore siesta key especially turtle beach. We have been coming to this area for 10 years. This rental is in a perfect location with easy access to the beach, beautifully upgraded park and free trolley service. The unit is spacious and accommodated our family of 5 with ease. There was plenty of baby equipment to help make our toddler comfortable and we mostly only used the unit for sleeping and laundry as we have family nearby. We were not impressed with the dusty interior and lack of attention to cleanliness. The shower in the master bath had terrible mold, all the furniture, decor and nooks and crannies were dusty and obvious that surface cleaning is all that’s maintained and poorly at that. The owner was very quick to respond to my concerns but these issues are not resolved in just my email. The unit needs TLC. We would return to Cozy Cove but not this unit unless it receives the attention it needs.

I Would stay there again no problem.

Property location is great for going to Turtle Beach and or renting kayaks. Only about a 10 minute walk. Also location is nice and quiet towards the end of Midnight Pass Road if you are looking for that. Recommend renting kayak and stopping at the secluded beach. Great shells in that area. We have stayed down in the same area twice now. Love it!

Why they chose this property

This is a great spot because you are close enough to the action but can slip away to relax in a supremely quiet and serene environment. I also love how small the complex is, giving it a personal and homey feel instead of staying in a larger hotel-like structure.

What makes this property unique

The covered garage is wonderful to keep your car out of the hot Florida sun! All of the units are privately owned and we all share a common goal to keep our property comfortable and beautiful. We work together to discuss ways to improve the property and I am happy to raise any suggestions you might have to our owners group for consideration.
