The space
This lovely, spacious and bright apartment is available in the desirable neighborhood of Notting Hill. The apartment is on the ground floor of a Victorian building and has a bright living room with high ceilings and a separate fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has period features, wooden floors and bay windows and gets loads of light both in the front and in the back. The kitchen comes with a dishwasher, an oven, a washing machine, pots pans, a Nespresso machine, a microwave, and a minipimer handblender. The bedroom comes with a comfortable bed and loads of storage. It is a perfect place to relax as it is very quiet and it faces the back garden. Double bed.
There is free super fast and unlimited wi-fi (fiber optic broadband).
Notting Hill in west London is one of the capital's most desirable areas, with iconic pastel-coloured houses and a thriving market. You can find everything from world-famous events and restaurants to beautiful shops. The flat is only five minutes walk to Portobello Road, which regularly holds the world famous market that takes place there. The market sells everything you could imagine from antiques, clothes and fruit and veg.

The neighborhood
Notting Hill is one of the most vibrant areas in London. It's a great area to go out as it offers great entertainment but at the same time it's very residential and quiet. It's home to some of London's best restaurants and bars which are just at walking distance from the flat. It's also a friendly, safe neighbourhood and very convenient for travel all around London.
Getting around
Closest tube is Westbourne Park on the Circle Line - 4/5 minutes walking distance to the flat - while Notting Hill Gate is about 12 minutes away. Westbourne Park is on the same tube line as Paddington and King's Cross so getting to the Eurostar, Heathrow Express and Soho/Oxford Street is very easy. Loads of buses stop nearby 31 (Camden, Primrose Hill), 328, 52 (Royal Albert Hall), 70 (Kensington, V&A Museum), 23 (Piccadilly, Aldwych). Number 7 bus stops a few meters from the the flat and goes to Paddington, Oxford Street and the British Museum.
Other things to note
The flat is very quiet, especially the bedroom which faces a private garden. However the house is early 1900 so not well soundproofed. Please be respectful when watching films or listening to music as the noise can travel. The neighbors will do the same.

Alexandria was very accessible at all times. She gave excellent information on the area and restaurants. The Flat had all item we needed for our week long stay.
A wonderful flat just right for 1 or 2 people. Bus and Tube stops nearby, along with Portobello Road. Easy to walk to shops or just wander. Everything we needed was there in the kitchen and the rest of the flat. No problems at all. I’d recommend it to my friends.
A beautiful flat in a lovely,convenient location in Notting Hill.
Very clean and well equipped for a very comfortable stay - the host is very responsive and accommodating for requests and advice.
The rental rate was very competitive for the quality and location of the flat. I would not hesitate in recommending a stay here and would most definatley rebook in the future.

I had spent time before in London as a tourist, this time I wanted the experience of actually living in a neighborhood. This flat was just what I wanted. Great location in a vibrant neighborhood, great shopping, restaurants, and of course Portobello Road Market. The flat is light and bright, well-appointed, and convenient to busses and the Tube. This flat is exactly as advertised. From the moment I arrived in London, Alexandra was contacting me to make sure I arrived okay and had no issues checking in. She was easy to contact if I needed anything and easy to communicate with. Amazing, clean, quiet flat in a great neighborhood close to great pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, the tube, buses, etc. etc. whatever you need is nearby. So glad I stayed here. Checkin was good, we were early but were able to leave our bags and come back.
Kitchen was well set up and she picked up some decaf coffee for me, that was awesome!
Bed was comfortable, but not a great setup for dual CPAP users.
We packed only carryon as there was a washer, but it leaked so could not use it. She offered to do our laundry but we weren't comfortable with someone doing our laundry so we washed by hand and hung to dry.
Towels and toilet paper were extremely rough.
Having a bathtub was a bonus!!
The owner came in a couple of times, once to turn on the towel warmer and once to bring clean sheets. We weren't comfortable with that as no one has ever done that before. Not sure if it was because she didn't want people using the towel warmer on their own.
Also, it was very hot, but we were not allowed to leave the windows open at night. You can only open them from the top so very little circulation anyways but any air at that point was welcome.
There is no outdoor space to sit and enjoy a coffee, which was a disappointment.
We were extremely close to the Portobello Market which was great as well as to the bus stop to take us anywhere we wanted. Transportation access was excellent.
The owner lives in the basement of the unit, so was close in case we needed her.
There is a small grocery store across the street that we used a lot that had groceries and a small liquor store for drinks.
Must go to 'The Oak' Restaurant, walking distance from the flat. Amazing food!!!!!

thanks for taking the time to write a review and appreciated your kind words.
I’m sorry if there were some misunderstandings and again apologies the washing machine broke, I went immediately to buy a new one but it could only be delivered after 6 days so the day you left. I asked if you had laundry and if I could help. There is also a fantastic cleaning service that picks up and delivers. If you could have just let me know you had some laundry, I would have found a solution and paid for it.
With regards to bringing clean laundry in the flat I texted you the day before and you answered “Everything is good and really enjoying ourselves. Sure, if you need to come in, it’s fine. Thanks” so I thought it was ok to go in the flat. I would have never gone inside without your permission.
With regards to the windows, I only asked - as per the flat instructions - to close the windows when you leave the flat especially when rain is forecasted. Of course you can keep the windows open all the time when you’re inside the flat!!!
And regarding the towel rack heater I’m a bit confused - I asked when you arrived if it was ok to leave the towel rack heater on a timer so it would go on for an hour after you left the flat in the morning so the towels could dry. And you and your husband said it was ok.
I realise now you thought that I was manually turning it on but that’s just a huge misunderstanding…. it was on a timer, so there was no need to come inside the flat to turn the towel rack heater on!
I will change the toilet paper brand and will fluff up the towels, thanks for letting me know.

Great base from which to explore London and beyond.
Clean with modern appliances and tastefully updated. The location is superb. It is near restaurants, shops, bus stops and an easy walk to the Tube. All nearby streets felt safe to walk in at all times. The owner was responsive and easy to connect with. We had a great stay and highly recommend this property.

This property was terrific. Alexandra made certain that we could check in when it suited our schedule and her concern for our comfort during the stay was very much appreciated. The flat itself was just wonderful, both well located and comfortable. We would be very happy to stay here again.
I stayed in this flat in Notting Hill for six weeks in 2019, from May to June. I absolutely loved the place. It has high ceilings and is crisply decorated. It is wonderfully appointed, with everything you need when you get here--from pots and pans, to dishes, to dish towels, to bath towels, to even extra power converters in the closet--I was able to start living from day one. The host of this property left tons of information which included not only how to get on the wifi connection, but the best places to eat nearby and how to get around. It was a wonderful entrance to the UK, where I'd be working for a month and a half. The owner of this flat lives on site and she was an absolute gem, willing to answer any questions I had. Additionally, you cannot beat this location! You're just a 10 minute walk from Portobello Road, which has great shopping and a wonderful street market every weekend. Go down Ledbury, which is right outside your front door, and you get some of the upscale shops of Notting Hill. Likewise, there are two convenient tube stations (the Westbourne Park station and the Notting Hill Gate station) within 7 to 15 minutes walk from the flat.
The beds (there is one bedroom but a very comfortable fold out couch) were extremely comfortable and the building is very secure. There is a locking door on the outside before you get to your front door. I felt incredibly safe here. There is a TV hooked up and ready, and the bathroom is absolutely gorgeous. I spent many nights de-stressing in the bathtub with a soak. In short, I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you need a "home away from home" that is beautiful, convenient to two tube stations, very safe and secure, and has all the amenities you need to cook your own food, wash your clothes, and hit the ground running in London, this is the place for you.

Lovely flat in a wonderful location
Stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every minute. Flat was lovely with everything you need for either a brief or extended stay. Neighborhood is wonderful and you are only minutes from Portobello Road. Tube is nearby and great restaurants are within a stones throw. Our host made sure to check in several times to confirm if we needed anything. Great experience and I would absolutely stay there again if find myself in London.

Lovely property in great position
I've really enjoyed staying here. The property is a warm, ground floor flat, well fitted out and well equipped for a comfortable stay, the owner even provided small touches like coffee pods for the Nespresso machine. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom quiet. The living room is spacious enough, and the TV has plenty of channels if that's your thing. The flat is in a great position, close to Portobello Road (where there are supermarkets, pubs, coffee shops and restaurants as well as the more famous quirky street markets) and with great transport links. Highly recommended.
